Excellent hotel. Good quality service. Stayed overnight.

Excellent overnight stay with our dogs. A lovely garden room for dogs, comfy beds and pillows and lovely and warm. All separate from the main hotel ideal with two dogs! Breakfast was lovely and served for us in the bar so we could take the dogs. Lovely staff. Will definitely return!

I booked a group of 20 and despite the group size the service exceeded our expectations. Excellent food and friendly staff. Large car park. The hotel is in a delightful village on the edge of the Surrey Hills ANOB. some stunning walks within a few miles. Wisley and 3 National Trust properties nearby.

We had an excellent 2 night stay at the Talbot, the location is great, the hotel has a lovely ambience, our accommodation was clean, comfortable and well equipped; all the staff were very helpful and we were more than satisfied with all the meals we had. We were made to feel very welcome and we had every intention of making the Talbot our regular hotel of choice when visiting Surrey. That was until 2 notices demanding a total of £200 of parking charges arrived in the post 2 weeks later. We asked the hotel to get the notices cancelled – they only bothered to tell the parking company about one leaving us with a load of hassle trying to sort out the other one. The hotel is upfront and very clear about parking charges so we made sure we followed their rules when checking in and parking (£10 per night) was duly included in our bill. It is very disappointing that the hotel have not apologised, provided any reason for the error, or acknowledged the distress this has caused. Surely, when a hotel includes a large car park and disabled parking as part of their offering, they should take some accountability when it goes wrong, and not shift the blame onto the parking company who wouldn't know who had paid for parking unless the hotel told them. Basically the hotel simply do not care. We will think very carefully about booking this hotel the next time we visit the area.

This is a top notch hotel with clean comfortable bedrooms and a lovely dining room. Both evening meal and breakfast were very good served by very pleasant and friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Free WiFi and good reception. Ideally located for the local golf courses. Recommended

We were placed in a small outbuilding with guests that had a party onsite. The guests joined each other and we were unable to sleep until they left at 5am. I complained but was only told the guests had now left and our second night should be ok. In the morning of the second day the housekeepers were unprofessional chatting to each other about their hair staring in mirrors etc . I would have appreciated some sympathy from the manager but there was apathy . I never have needed to write a review like this before it could have been dealt with much better if someone took the time to appreciate the situation .

All the staff especially Krystyna the events manager were most helpful to make the celebration of my Aunts life so memorable. The Garden room looked perfect and the food, particularly the scones and sausage rolls were delicious. Well done, you did us proud.

Excellent and helpful staff and super food. The staff were very welcoming. I was helped with my bags as I am disabled and I was allowed to stay an extra hour and I wasn t charged for that. There is a very nice cafe there that is nearby called The Nest which I also recommend.

Excellent chef, helpful and nice staff, public transport very poor.
