Travelodge Woking Central

Travelodge Woking Central ★★★

📍 Oriental Rd, Woking

"Definitely not cheap and cheerful. We stayed here for our sons pass off parade near by, ive stayed in a few travel lodges, so I know they are basic, but this one was the worst. The lift from the carpark was filthy and sticky and the buttons didnt work, we had cases to bring up, so needed to use it. The walls were covered in chipped paint ( blue walls with white underneath) bathroom wasnt great either with an old style sauce bottle as a hand soap dispenser, blinds didnt cover the full window, so alot of day light coming in. The shower was good and powerful, towels were a good size too. Breakfast wasnt great for the price. Beds were clean and comfy( well needed after an 8hr drive from scotland) no air-conditioning, but a fan in the room. We didnt drink at the bar, as in this weather the heat inside was too much. For a budget hotel £125 wasnt cheap for the room. Plus breakfast was additional and had to also pay for parking. £6.50 for the night."

📍 Bridge Barn Ln, Woking

"My second short stay at this great little hotel. In my opinion a much better location just outside the main town. It was nice to be greeted again by the ever friendly and knowledgable receptionist Tara, she actually remembered me from my last stay, that made me feel good. The room as per my last stay was clean and tidy. I had booked a meal and also a breakfast, both of which were great. I still can’t fault the place, it was just an easy process from start to finish."

Hilton Woking ★★★★
"The place is spacious and cozy, with a modern design. The bathroom is quite large and includes a handrail next to the toilet, which is very suitable for elderly residents who need assistance. The bedroom is equipped with several call bells that allow residents to easily seek help from staff if they feel unwell — a thoughtful feature for the elderly. The bed is soft."

Travelodge Woking Central ★★★
"Extremely disappointing stay. I booked and paid for a hotel, but it felt more like a hostel. The hotel appears to be used by the council for temporary accommodation, which completely changed the atmosphere from what I expected when making my booking. There were people hanging around the hotel at all hours, there was frequent noise, and I didn’t feel comfortable during my stay. I have no issue with people needing accommodation, but if a hotel is being used in this way, I think guests should be made aware before booking so they can make an informed decision. To make matters worse, the hotel doesn’t have air conditioning despite it being the middle of summer. Instead of proper climate control, there was just a small fan placed on the desk, which did very little to cool the room. Sleeping was uncomfortable because the room was so warm. For the price I paid, I expected a clean, quiet, and comfortable hotel. Instead, I left feeling like I’d paid hotel prices for an experience that felt more like a hostel. I won’t be staying here again or any travelodge for that matter and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful night’s stay. If 0 bubbles were an option, that is what I would have given. Unfortunately, 1 bubble is the lowest rating available on Tripadvisor."
