I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Marco Polo Hotel in Wuhan City, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience from check-in to check-out. This hotel truly exceeded my expectations in every way possible. First and foremost, one aspect that stood out to me was the impeccable cleanliness of the hotel. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with a welcoming atmosphere that boasted cleanliness and tidiness. The attention to detail was remarkable, and it made me feel instantly at ease and comfortable. One of the highlights of my stay was undoubtedly the buffet breakfast. The variety and quality of food available were simply outstanding. Whether you prefer Western or Asian cuisine, there was something to suit every palate. The breakfast spread was extensive, featuring fresh fruits, pastries, hot dishes, made-to-order omelets, and much more. It was an absolute culinary delight to start my day with such a sumptuous and satisfying meal. The hotel's gym facilities were also worth mentioning. As a fitness enthusiast, I greatly appreciated having a well-equipped gym that was accessible at any time. The machines were in excellent condition, and the gym itself was spacious and bright. It was a pleasure to work out while enjoying panoramic views of the city. The hotel staff also provided clean towels and water, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable workout experience. Apart from the gym, another impressive feature was the swimming pool. It was a splendid oasis, offering a refreshing escape from the bustling city. The pool was clean, well-maintained, and provided a relaxing ambience. I thoroughly enjoyed taking a dip and unwinding after a long day of exploring Wuhan. Throughout my stay, the staff at the Marco Polo Hotel exhibited exceptional hospitality and attentiveness. They were friendly, professional, and always ready to cater to any needs or inquiries. From the receptionists to the restaurant staff, everyone did an outstanding job, ensuring that my stay was unforgettable. Overall, the Marco Polo Hotel in Wuhan City provided an exceptional experience that I highly recommend. From the cleanliness to the delectable buffet breakfast, from the well-equipped gym to the tranquil swimming pool, this hotel surely knows how to pamper its guests. I was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of my stay and cannot wait to return in the future.

BEWARE IF YOU PAY AT THE FRONT DESK AT THE HOTEL. THEY DOUBLE-CHARGED US AND DID NOT REFUND THE OVERCHARGE. We booked through Trip.com and selected to pay at the hotel (our mistake). We used our Alipay QR code to pay at the front desk, but the transaction took a while and seemed to have failed (slow internet connection). We tried again and the second time it was successful. It wasn't until we left Wuhan and checked our credit card statements that we noticed two of the same charges from the Ethos Hotel. Contacting the hotel, the staff was pleasant and helpful but never admitted to seeing a double-charge in their system. The person on the phone said they would investigate and asked us to call back later. After a day, we called back; they said they contacted Trip.com and that a refund was given to us. This refund they were referring to was the Trip.com deposit to hold our rooms. We explained the situation again, but the person helping us kept saying we should contact Trip.com even though we paid the hotel directly. Now back at home, we contacted Trip.com. After chatting with one of their reps, and providing our credit card and Alipay statements as proof of the double charge, they said they would get back to us. The result was an email with the message, ”Duplicate deduction/overcharge-Duplicate deduction/overcharge: Not duplicate deduction/overcharge.” We are not surprised by this result, as Trip.com cannot verify any payments that took place because the actual payment happened at the HOTEL FRONT DESK. So here we are trying to go through our bank to see if they can do something because they CAN see the 2 charges that were 3 minutes apart from the same hotel. We hope this will be resolved and all this was a misunderstanding... time will tell.

The room was really neat and clean, and was cleaned every day, but the soundproofing was not very good. On the first night I stayed here, I heard a woman next door talking on the phone at 3:30 in the middle of the night. Who knows, but I heard her clearly in the end. I said good night to the other person, but she hung up and I couldn’t sleep. This is really bad.

During the National Day holiday, I took my parents and children on a cruise to visit the Three Gorges. The first stop was Wuhan, and then I took the boat from Wuhan to Yichang. Before leaving, I compared many hotels in terms of location, hotel scenery, service and other aspects. I thought that most of the branded five-star hotels are similar but less interesting, so this time I finally chose the Howard Johnson Pearl Hotel, which has Wuhan's local characteristics. Checking in late is indeed a very wise choice. The hotel's location is very advantageous. From the room, you can see the Dujiang Tower and the Flood Monument with Chairman Mao's inscription in front of you. The lights on the Wuhan River are beautiful. The hotel is very convenient to everywhere. My son and I were tired of walking around Jianghanguan and had to wait in line for a taxi during peak hours. We took the bus directly to the hotel downstairs for only 1 yuan and only took a few minutes. After dinner, it only takes a few minutes to walk from the hotel to the river bank opposite. It is so pleasant to be surrounded by the river and the wind. The breakfast at the hotel was quite satisfactory. The hot dry noodles tasted good, but the lady who made the hot dry noodles was a bit stiff. The layout of the room is spacious, reasonable and comfortable, and the view is excellent. Sitting by the window and looking far into the distance is what you want. The front desk service is warm and meticulous, which doubles your favorability. I really like the unique architectural appearance of the hotel. A pearl is particularly dazzling at night. You can also take the hotel sightseeing elevator from the 1st floor to the 40th floor, where you can gradually see the entire city, which is very interesting. If you come to Wuhan for the first time, you will definitely not be disappointed if you can stay at Howard Johnson Pearl Hotel.

The facilities are very advanced, and it is refreshing as soon as you enter the door. The lighting control and TV projection are more intelligent than other hotels. The interior and exterior are all cutting-edge living furniture, and the experience is great. In addition, the service of the handsome men and beautiful women at the front desk is very enthusiastic, and their enthusiastic attitude and pertinent suggestions make people feel at home. The living experience is great, and the location is also excellent. The only drawback is that the pipes are not soundproofed, and there are occasional sounds of running water and collisions. I hope these problems can be solved in the future. Five-star praise!

Location is good, just outside a line 2 metro station and not far from JiangHan Rd pedestrian street. Room is spacious and clean. Stayed on 10th floor and it has unpleasant smoking smell. Noisy air conditioner. Table lamp has no bulb, not sure if it is working. Sometimes there's no TV reception, especially early in the morning. When check-in, room is without coffee and safe box is without battery. Room service personal is very helpful and kind to supply us many bottles of water.

The hotel is in a great location, right next to the subway station, making it convenient for travel. The room is large, clean, the service is thoughtful, the facilities are complete, there is a swimming pool and a gym, and it is a good principle for traveling with children. Zeng Hui at the front desk is very considerate and gave gifts to the children.

The hotel is in a good location, just a 5-minute walk from Xunlimen subway station, and it is very convenient to various attractions. The lobby is spacious and the rooms are average, the hygiene is OK, the bathroom is relatively small, the door faces the toilet, and it is inconvenient to stand in the bathtub to take a shower, and the water is not very smooth, but the service staff of the room is very good and responsive. Breakfast is located on the top floor, with a wide view, a full range of varieties and good taste. Due to personal reasons, I dyed two square towels and a medium towel of the hotel, and was asked to pay 50 yuan in compensation. I feel that the charge is too expensive. The compensation should be charged reasonably and the interests of consumers should be protected. However, it is indeed better to be careful not to let such things happen.

Determined to participate in the Wuhan Marathon. This hotel should be the closest hotel to the starting point of the 2024 Wuhan Marathon. Go down and turn left through Wufu Road and you will arrive at the security checkpoint immediately. The room is large and has a very large bay window that serves as a tea seat. I feel there is no problem at all living in a family of 3-4 people. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry, and the toilet is also in a separate room, which is very convenient. The best thing is that the pillows are extremely comfortable and the softness of the bed suits me very well. I had a good rest. Although the breakfast is relatively simple compared to a five-star hotel, the noodles and dishes are cooked exquisitely and are completely filling. There is a cute little robot delivering food. Check-in was very fast. I swiped my ID card and it took about three to five minutes to complete. If I win the lottery for the Wuhan Marathon next year, I will book this hotel.
