Grand Mercure Xiamen Downtown Reviews

I had a pleasant stay at the Grand Mercure Xiamen Downtown and would consider staying here again on a future visit to Xiamen. The hotel is a little dated, and the rooms show some signs of wear, but everything was clean and well maintained throughout my stay. The rooms are also well insulated, so I didn't notice much noise from outside or neighboring rooms. Housekeeping was reliable, even on days when I left the room later in the afternoon. It was nice to come back to a clean room without having to adjust my schedule. The hotel offers a good selection of complimentary drinks, which was a thoughtful touch. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and interactions were consistently pleasant. Breakfast offered a good variety of local and international options, and the food was fresh and tasty. There was enough choice to keep things interesting over several mornings. The location is convenient, with a Line 1 metro station just a short walk away, making it easy to get around the city. Overall, the hotel may not be the most modern, but it offers a comfortable stay with good service, a convenient location, and good value. I enjoyed my time here and would be happy to stay again.

The hotel's location is excellent, right by the subway exit, making travel very convenient. The room was clean and tidy. The lady on the 8th-floor housekeeping staff provided great service. The facilities are decent and well-equipped. The surrounding area is lovely, with Lotus Park nearby.

We stayed here during the Dragon Boat Festival and they even upgraded us to a suite for free! It was a two-story unit, which the kids absolutely loved. We were very satisfied with our stay. While the room facilities were a bit dated, it didn't affect our comfort, and the cleanliness was what mattered most.

Environment: Located right by the Lianhua Road subway station, the Lianhua Road area has a fantastic neighborhood vibe, with phoenix flowers blooming everywhere. Breakfast: Absolutely fantastic! The breakfast spread was incredibly rich, offering Cantonese dim sum, local Xiamen snacks, and you could even customize your own freshly cooked satay noodles! It was delicious and truly memorable. Facilities: The sink in the room was quite awkward, though.

I chose Mercure for my business trip to Xiamen. Although the hotel is a bit older, it's very clean. They even upgraded me to a larger room for free! The service was very warm and helpful, the gym was well-equipped, and the breakfast was excellent, especially the made-to-order Shacha noodles and dim sum – highly recommended.
