"This hotel, built in 1958, has a lot of character, and I really loved its newly renovated design. The location is fantastic, right next to Zhongshan Road, and from our room, we had a direct view of Gulangyu Island. Enjoying the scenery from the balcony in the morning and evening was incredibly relaxing. The service was thoughtful, and the breakfast spread was plentiful. The bedding was also very comfortable. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay; apart from sightseeing, we spent a lot of time just lounging around the hotel. As night fell, Gulangyu Island's 'blue hour' was absolutely beautiful."

So, kudos to every front desk lady! The front desk guy was also very kind. The cleaning staff were also very lovely and polite. I really hope the cleaning lady gets some recognition or a reward! She was super cute and even arranged my teddy bear on the pillow – so adorable! Hotels with this kind of service truly make guests happy. These small details are the little joys that make the work worthwhile, so I'm very grateful! This was my first time staying at the Hilton Xiamen, and I had such a good impression that I even recommended it to my friends. I really hope they can get some recognition for their excellent service!"

"Make sure to check your deposit refund yourself!!!! The overall experience during my stay was very good. The hotel facilities and breakfast were top-notch for a 'light luxury' hotel in Xiamen. However, after checking out, I never received the deposit refund. Each time I contacted the hotel (three times within a week), they insisted it had already been refunded and told me to check my bank statement. After repeatedly checking and confirming that I had not received the refund, I called the hotel again to question them. This time, the reply was that it had been refunded that very morning. I found it hard to believe that after more than a week since check-out, the refund happened to be processed on the day I called. I repeatedly asked the hotel to provide proof of refund. Within three minutes of hanging up, I received the refund SMS. After this experience, I'm glad I kept reconfirming the deposit refund. Otherwise, it would have been easy to be misled by the hotel's repeated assurances. I can't be sure if the hotel habitually withholds deposits or if the staff just tend to say whatever to get you off the phone."
