It's in a prime location on Zhongshan Road, with a charming Nanyang retro vibe. Stepping out, you're surrounded by street food and shopping districts. It's super close to the ferry terminal and the Bashi market, saving us a lot of travel time.
The room is incredibly spacious, bursting with a playful, child-friendly atmosphere. My kids instantly fell in love with the bunk bed with a slide, and the safety rails gave us parents peace of mind. There were dolls, building blocks, and a small tent – enough to keep the little ones entertained for half the day, meaning we didn't have to keep an eye on them constantly.
The room also features a private little balcony, and the faint scent of tea in the corridor made us feel instantly relaxed upon entering. The entire room is equipped with smart devices, and the toiletries were clean and high-quality. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the floor is covered with soft mats, so we didn't have to worry about the kids bumping themselves while running barefoot.

"It's been 20 years since I last visited Xiamen, and now I'm back again. This time, I chose this hotel, and I'm really glad I did. The location is super convenient – it's a 10-minute walk to the metro station, there's a bus stop right outside, and taxis are always available. The environment is lovely, it's close to the beach, and Gulangyu Island is directly opposite. Getting to the ferry terminal is quick and easy too. It's also a great spot for sightseeing, with the famous No. 1 Zhongshan Road nearby and Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street just a stone's throw away.
To sum it up, I'll definitely be back to Xiamen in the future, and when I do, I'll be staying here again.

"I stayed for two nights and have already checked out, so I'm writing my review now. While the facilities aren't perfect, they are certainly adequate. The cleanliness, however, is truly commendable. They pay great attention to detail – the room smelled lovely, and the air conditioning was already on when I arrived. The sheets and duvet covers were visibly spotless, with no stains or anything uncomfortable. I have sensitive skin, but I had no issues sleeping there for two nights.
Secondly, the service was genuinely attentive. I've traveled many times, and the front desk staff at this guesthouse were particularly enthusiastic. They were very knowledgeable about the local dining, entertainment, and attractions, and I always received satisfactory answers to my questions. What's more, the guesthouse provides a washing machine and dryer, along with complimentary laundry detergent. In the summer heat, being able to wash and dry clothes right after coming back is incredibly convenient; otherwise, clothes would start to smell.
As for soundproofing, it wasn't as bad as I expected. I slept very well both nights, with no noise in the middle of the night. The fact that the air conditioning was already on when we checked in was a huge bonus, especially in summer. Just for that pre-cooled room, I think they deserve a good review. The value for money is also excellent; I compared many places before booking this one.
Getting around is also easy. It's on a main road, and the view from the entrance is quite nice, with Gulangyu Island directly opposite. It's not far from Zhongshan Road, just two bus stops away, and the botanical garden is about a kilometer away – a 9 yuan taxi ride for me. Overall, I think it's excellent and highly recommend it to anyone visiting."

The hotel generally has a high-quality feel to it; upon entering, there's no overwhelming noise, making it perfect for those seeking a quiet moment during their travels. The room was clean and quite spacious, and the bedding was just right – not too soft, not too firm, ensuring a great night's sleep. A special shoutout to Evelyn, our butler, who kindly arranged a complimentary kids' play area for my child. She was a pleasure to communicate with, responded promptly, and proactively thought of many small details, making it feel like the service wasn't just about following procedures, but genuinely considering the guest's perspective. The free hotel shuttle was also very convenient, making transportation arrangements much easier. Honestly, what matters most in a hotel stay are the details and the overall experience, and this time, everything from check-in to check-out was smooth, with no unpleasant surprises. Xiamen itself is a city perfect for slow exploration, and Wyndham Xiamen Yuuzhou provided a wonderfully comfortable base for this trip. Overall, it's highly recommended.

Guest UserWe were already very satisfied with our online booking for a triple family city-view room, which included both breakfast and supper. What made us even happier was that upon check-in, the hotel informed us that for a small extra charge, we could upgrade to a family sea-view room, which was larger than our original booking. The view from the sea-view room was a special surprise that truly excited the children. It's hard to describe or capture in photos, so I highly recommend experiencing it yourself – it's definitely worth it.
The hotel's location is excellent. There's a bus stop and a subway station right outside, and getting a taxi is also very convenient. It's close to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, which is lively and just a short walk away. The service at the hotel was very attentive; they even provided a clothes drying rack. The breakfast and supper were part of the package and complimentary, featuring local specialty snacks, making them very rich and thoughtful. We were very pleased with our stay this time. Finally, I took a picture of the lobby and the night view from our room window. Thumbs up!
One choice of either a triple self-service afternoon tea or a self-service supper: superb and very thoughtful.

Guest UserThe hotel experience was very good, and the breakfast was abundant. I especially loved the peanut soup. The pool water was very clean, and my child had a great time playing there all afternoon. However, the outdoor pool did have some leaves in it. While waiting for my child by the pool, I noticed an unpleasant smell, which seemed to be coming from the drain, and that was a bit off-putting. Another point is that the hotel doesn't have a free laundry room. It costs 12 RMB for one wash and 8 RMB for 30 minutes of drying. Even in summer, the clothes didn't dry completely, so I had to do another standard dry for 9 RMB for 40 minutes, ending up paying twice, and some T-shirts still weren't dry. That was a bad experience. It was quite surprising that the hotel didn't offer a free laundry room. For one booking, the hotel offered two complimentary buffet afternoon teas. Since I brought a child, they also gave two complimentary children's breakfasts, which was nice. Overall, the feeling was good, but there are many areas that need improvement. The strong smell by the pool was a significant drawback.

Kids loved the family suite so much, they didn't want to leave! ❤️
We brought our child to Xiamen this time, and the hotel upgraded us to a Sun and Moon Valley family suite. The overall experience was even better than expected, perfect for a family vacation.
The room was very spacious. As soon as we entered, my child started exploring everywhere. The room was filled with animal-themed furniture and decorations – deer, ponies, a giraffe lamp, and many adorable plush toys. It was truly whimsical! Even my usually picky daughter had a blast, spending half the day just taking photos in the room.
The bed was huge, easily accommodating four people without feeling cramped. The overall decor had a Southeast Asian resort vibe. Although the hotel has been open for a while, it's well-maintained, clean, and comfortable, without that dated feel you sometimes get with older hotels.
The hotel itself has plenty of facilities for kids: billiards, table tennis, a swimming pool, and a children's activity area, all of which helped us pass the time. Our family also played a super-sized foosball game, which was a lot of fun. The hot spring area is right across the street, with a shuttle service running back and forth, making it incredibly convenient. After a relaxing soak, coming back to rest was a breeze.
The breakfast selection was also quite varied, with both Chinese and Western options, generally satisfying the tastes of our entire family. The staff were very friendly and attentive, especially towards families with children.

Our stay at Pan Pacific Xiamen was unfortunately below expectations for a hotel of this level.
The biggest issue is that the property and rooms feel significantly dated and in need of refurbishment. The room design, including the excessive use of mirrors, feels from another era, while the television is surprisingly small by current hotel standards. Soundproofing was also poor, which affected the overall comfort of the stay.
We were equally disappointed with the restaurant. Both the quality and portion sizes of the food did not meet our expectations, particularly considering the positioning and pricing of the hotel. This is an area that seriously needs improvement.
The location is reasonably convenient, but not enough to compensate for the ageing rooms and other shortcomings.
The hotel's saving grace is its staff. Everyone we encountered was polite, friendly and genuinely eager to assist, which we appreciated very much. However, while the attitude was consistently positive, there were moments where we felt additional hospitality and service training would help the team deliver a more polished five-star experience.
Overall, there are good people working here, but the physical product and some aspects of the hospitality experience are falling behind newer hotels in Xiamen. A substantial refurbishment, together with further service development, would make a significant difference.

Guest UserI stayed at this hotel in Xiamen back in 2017, when it had just opened, and I was really impressed with both the room facilities and the service. For this family trip, I specifically chose to come back here. The location is super convenient, right next to Powerlong One Mall, and most importantly, I honestly couldn't find another place with better value for money for this two-bedroom type (in my opinion)! However, I have to admit the rooms are definitely showing their age. And for some reason, this room type had a strong smell. We switched to another room which was a bit better, but there was still a musty odor. The staff's service attitude was impeccable, though. I guess it's all about the value for money here.

We stayed near Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, which made getting around very convenient, and it's close to all the main attractions. The hotel lobby also provides free bottled water, which is great for taking with you when you go out.

Happy PatronThe room was clean, service was good. We received new towels and tooth brushes each day, water bottles were only forgotten to replenish one day. They allowed use of their public refrigerator which was very nice for keeping medication cold as it was needed. The place brought us very nice bathrobes when we noticed they were missing. However there was a razor as indicated via Trip.com booking, perhaps an advertising issue. Everything else was as described. Had a bathtub,nice electric TV projector screen, beds and pillows were clean and comfortable. The negatives were that the walls are thin, sound travels easily, we could hear a person singing in the shower from down the hall and the shower pole was loose so could easily come out of the wall, but it didn’t cause water to leak, just needs to be screwed in, also the door lock didn’t work, needs repair, but there was a chain.

I recently stayed at Asia Gulf Hotel in my trip to Xiamen and overall, I had a positive experience. The hotel is Situated in a touristy part of the city, close to one of the main beaches. The room and common areas were decent and tidy. My room 1812 was spacious and illuminated, the only thing to improve is the deck that it is becoming a bit old. breakfast is included, mostly Asian style. The internet connection was good in general.
