"The service is super good, the standard room booked 1.2 has three beds. The proprietress upgraded the suite for free and it was a big bed of three 1.8. When the first day arrived, she would go to the parking lot to pick up the luggage. The room was equipped with disposable bath towels and towels, so don't worry about being unclean."

GGuest UserGreat location! It's right above a food street and offers fantastic views of the sea and Gulangyu Island. Plus, it's really close to Shapowei, Xiamen University, and Nanputuo Temple. The host was amazing; they even set up my room just the way I wanted it, even though I checked in late. Thanks a lot!

Yyura_zhouThe location is incredibly convenient, right next to Zhongshan Road, with tons of food options just outside the door. The room, though not large, is very well designed and has all the necessary amenities, making for a very comfortable stay. Getting such a great B&B at this price was a pleasant surprise; it's excellent value for money. The customer service guy was also super nice, always responding promptly and patiently. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in the area!

CChung WeiThis hotel is two blocks away from Xiamen railway station and next to a small shopping mall, which offers the convenience of proximity. Although the entrance lobby is somewhat dubious, resembling a residential building, the staff provide supportive guidance and ensure everything runs smoothly. Another point worth highlighting is the quality of their exceptionally helpful staff. They first assisted me in upgrading my room to a higher-level city view room, and when I encountered difficulties connecting to the Wi-Fi, the team on Wechat provided the best available solution, which is quite rare in other hotels abroad.
Next, the interior, I must say it is VERY clean. Hotels in China can often seem a bit dingy and even newly renovated ones may have corners covered in dust. However, this hotel is spotless. Shout out to the housekeeping team! This hotel also excels in my three ”musts”: clean and effective air conditioning (must be cold), easily adjustable hot water(must be hot), and a sturdy room lock(must be safe). Tick, tick, tick.
For me, the only drawback is that, as the hotel is located in the city centre, you can always hear car horns (which is 100% normal in China), but the traffic noise quickly subsides after 11 PM on Saturdays, so it may not be an issue for those who are night owls. Overall, if you're coming single for a business visit and you don't need an office desk, this one is a great destination in Xiamen. I'll definitely come back for a yummy beef noodle at the corner of this hotel.

GGuest UserThis guesthouse is perfectly situated on Huandao Road, one of Xiamen's best tourist areas. It offers panoramic views of Gulangyu Island and Xiamen University's Baicheng Beach, with all sea-view rooms. The night view is mesmerizing, and by day, it feels like you're flying above Xiamen with clouds at your feet. The service is warm and attentive, especially friendly to cat lovers. Step downstairs, and you're right on Shapowei Pedestrian Street, which is fantastic! The street is packed with incredibly good value Xiamen specialty foods, a feast for both the eyes and the stomach. This place offers exceptional value for money.

Review:
This property is more of an Airbnb-style apartment rental than a traditional hotel. While the location and the view from the room are excellent, there are several points that foreign travelers should be aware of.
Check-in: The front desk counter does not provide room numbers or guidance. You must contact the owner directly via the Trip.com app's call function. Note that the owner does not speak English.
Room Guidance: I was guided to the room by two young men in casual clothes rather than hotel staff. They took photos of my passport and face for registration, but they seemed unfamiliar with the system and struggled for a while.
Facilities: Hot water stopped in the middle of my shower; this might be due to the water heater settings or capacity. Also, the TV is only connected to a Xiaomi internet device, which requires a private account or additional payment to watch anything.
Wi-Fi: I scanned the QR code in the room, but the AP for my room (1906) didn't exist. I eventually managed to connect to the signal for the neighboring room (1907).
Amenities: Only disposable paper towels are provided. I recommend bringing your own towels if you prefer real ones.
Privacy: On the day of checkout, cleaning staff entered my room while I was out for a walk—well before the actual checkout time. I found their cleaning cart left inside my room when I returned.
Summary: It feels like a residential apartment converted into a rental service. It can be quite inconvenient for foreigners due to the unconventional service style. Stay here for the view and location, but be prepared for some DIY-style hurdles.

BBaiMaWangziI traveled to Xiamen during the Chinese spring service with my dog and took a day trip to Kinmen Island, Taiwan, just off the coast.
This hotel was in fact an apartment building with several management companies renting out rooms on various floors. Overall the building was in a horrendous state of disrepair.
Initially, the front desk tried to put me into a room on the sixth floor which looked like a scene from a horror movie... Stains on floor, walls, dirt and garbage everywhere....I asked if this is the same room I booked and another female staff member moved me to the 9 th floor which was at least clean and updated, in the hall. The room was ok, and bed comfortable, but I've never stayed in a hotel that put sheets directly on the mattress without a minimal pad between... Luckily no bed bugs.
The room had 3 out of 8 working lightbulbs so it was very dark. The heater didn't warm up the room even at max level running all day.
Everything was old and dingy... Nothing like the photos
I had no TV or Internet service the first day until I asked for it to be repaired.
Overall, no maintenance is the problem.. But at least the woman at the front desk was helpful and kind
That only real redeeming quality of the room was the view... But the window was so dirty, it was mostly obscured.

The room is very big, and the taste of the newly renovated is still there

GGuest UserReally grateful for the free airport pickup. Added their number to my wechat and called them using wechat. Was given directions where to be picked up and asked to send a picture of how I look like. waited at the pickup point and even message them at exactly which location I'm at. Received a call later to ask where am I and also messaged me the car plate number. As the pickup point only allow 8mins of wait time, the driver was pretty pissed when I arrived. I mean, couldn't you have sent a picture of the car and the car plate number earlier?
Driver was smoking all the way while driving and I'm unfortunately seated behind him, breathing in all his smelly smoke. He opened his window but that didn't help, the wind has kept blowing the smoke into my face. Luckily it was a short drive. I feel that the hotel should educate their drivers not to smoke while driving. This is so selfish.
I got upgraded to a bigger room because they wanted me to give a good review. My room has a big window with the street view.
Room was clean and nice. Slippers given.
Toilet was badly designed. the shower head faces the toilet bowl and the sewage system is not good. After showering, the toilet flooded. I only realised the next morning that there are some buttons that you can switch on for ventilation in the toilet. The toilet was still flooded in the morning but I think if I have known about the buttons earlier, it would have been dried in the morning. The buttons are in chinese characters. Ask for help to decipher them.
The room has a projector but nothing was watchable. You need to have accounts to sign on to their various content provider.
The hotel is near a small street market with awesome and cheap food. There was also some supermarkets opened late into the night.
Cannot expect much from sound proofing as dead into the night, you can still hear food delivery rider delivering their food to occupants.
The driver in the morning did not smoke but when I told him that nobody asked me which terminal I'm going to, he insisted that it is impossible for them not to ask. I also cannot be bothered to argue. Why would I sabotage my own departure plans? Suggest that before the driver drives off, stressed which terminal you are going to. Terminal 3 for International flights, Terminal 4 for domestic flights. And they are not close to one another apparently.
Otherwise, the bed was quite comfy. The socket above the bedside table is almost falling off the wall.
