JikexingMy first impression upon arriving at the hotel was that it felt just like home. All the staff were incredibly welcoming and warm. I've stayed in many hotels, but Qishang truly gave me the illusion of coming home. The room was spacious, the living room was huge, the balcony was large, and the spa pool was expansive – everything was so comfortable. The hotel also smelled wonderful. In the evening, the turn-down service included a thoughtful glass of milk from the housekeeper.
The bedding was as comfortable as everyone online raves about, perfect for falling asleep instantly.
If you book a suite, you even get a complimentary yacht trip. The glass bottled water in the room was a nice touch. Breakfast was also very Xiamen-specific, with many local Minnan snacks. I had the Satay noodles for two days straight! This trip was a bit rushed, but next time I'll definitely bring my friends to experience it more thoroughly, as there are many other activities at the hotel to try. The only minor point was that the afternoon tea was a bit expensive and not particularly tasty – I just took a picture of it. Other than that, my entire experience was absolutely fantastic!

SshushushuhuuThis B&B is absolutely beautiful! It's very close to the sea, and the rooms are wonderfully quiet – you can't hear any outside noise. The view from the window, with trees and the ocean, is incredibly relaxing and therapeutic. The reception service was exceptionally nice; even before I stepped onto the B&B's doorstep, a staff member rushed out to help us with our luggage. Every single staff member (including the auntie who cleaned the rooms!) was soft-spoken and very gentle. The breakfast was also delicious! I booked for three nights, and every morning I woke up to a different breakfast spread. You can tell this B&B genuinely takes pride in itself and truly cares about every guest who stays here! Highly recommend!!

The hotel environment is impeccable, with spacious public areas and beautiful birdsong and flowers. Perched on a hill, I was woken up every morning around 5 or 6 by the chirping of various birds. It's about a 15-minute walk to Xiamen University and Putuo Temple, though it's uphill and a bit tiring, but taxis are quite convenient. The room was also very large, with a bedroom offering a distant view of the rooftops of Xiamen University. All in-room facilities were well-equipped. While I wouldn't delve too deeply into the cleanliness details, it was acceptable, but the sound of water running from the rooms above or next door was particularly noisy. The service was excellent, with prompt responses to all requests! Overall, I was satisfied, with one exception: the breakfast was too basic. It felt like it cost less than five yuan to make, truly the most perfunctory breakfast I've ever had in decades of staying at hotels. We ended up ordering takeout for the kids for both days, so I don't think it's worth booking a rate that includes breakfast. I'd like to offer a suggestion to the hotel: with such a great location and environment, it should strive for perfection by putting more thought into improving the breakfast. For tourists, a hearty breakfast is truly important. If a buffet isn't feasible due to cost-cutting, at least the set menu could be more varied, instead of just offering a bowl of congee and one or two pre-made buns every day, which is quite unappetizing.

This is a very good hotel. It is right next to the shopping mall, so restaurants and coffee shops are everywhere. We really appreciated the friendly front desk staff getting us an upgraded room. It is spacious, cleaned, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything we need. We love their long and cleaned pool. It’s perfect for lap swimmers. Definitely we will recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

Muxi621🌊Conrad Xiamen | Cloud-level Sea View in the Twin Towers
Boasting panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, the endless sea stretches out before you. Overlooking the entire Lujiang River and Gulangyu Island, the sunset sea view is both romantic and incredibly therapeutic. It's a fantastic spot for photos, the room is spacious and clean, though slightly dated and not as modern/smart as some. The service is attentive, and getting to Xiamen University and Shapowei is very convenient. This was the most delightful accommodation experience of my trip to Xiamen!

Guest UserThis hotel is closest to Piano Wharf and not far from Sanqiutian Wharf. It's very close to the shore, yet tucked away in a quiet spot. On the way, you'll pass the Gulangyu Museum. My room was on the first floor and was well-decorated and very clean. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

appleredzPan Pacific Xiamen — Disappointing Hardware, Good Staff
Our stay at Pan Pacific Xiamen was unfortunately below expectations for a hotel of this level.
The biggest issue is that the property and rooms feel significantly dated and in need of refurbishment. The room design, including the excessive use of mirrors, feels from another era, while the television is surprisingly small by current hotel standards. Soundproofing was also poor, which affected the overall comfort of the stay.
We were equally disappointed with the restaurant. Both the quality and portion sizes of the food did not meet our expectations, particularly considering the positioning and pricing of the hotel. This is an area that seriously needs improvement.
The location is reasonably convenient, but not enough to compensate for the ageing rooms and other shortcomings.
The hotel's saving grace is its staff. Everyone we encountered was polite, friendly and genuinely eager to assist, which we appreciated very much. However, while the attitude was consistently positive, there were moments where we felt additional hospitality and service training would help the team deliver a more polished five-star experience.
Overall, there are good people working here, but the physical product and some aspects of the hospitality experience are falling behind newer hotels in Xiamen. A substantial refurbishment, together with further service development, would make a significant difference.
Rating: 6/10.

Guest UserLe Méridien Xiamen Garden View Balcony King Room Stay Review: A Healing Retreat Amidst a Full House
The sky had already darkened upon arrival. Winding our way up the tree-lined paths of Xian'gueshan Mountain, the air gradually became moist and cool. It felt like a magical escape from the bustling, humid city, into a 'city oasis' nestled in the mountains. The moment I opened the room door after checking in, the fatigue from the journey instantly melted away.
Room | A Mountain Holiday Opened by a Courtyard
The room felt very spacious, with a layout of about 40 square meters that was just right. What surprised me the most, naturally, was the exquisite private balcony. Le Méridien's room types each offer different views, and I chose the garden view balcony room specifically for a quiet, relaxing stay. After all, in a mountain setting surrounded by dense vegetation, a few insects are perfectly normal, and the garden view neatly sidestepped that issue. Opening the window in the morning, the lush green central courtyard came into view. Instead of the city's hustle and bustle, I heard the crisp, pleasant chirping of morning birds and the sweet, fresh air blowing from the mountains. I couldn't help but close my eyes and take several deep breaths. Returning to the room in the evening, I lay on the balcony chair, clearing my mind, sipping an iced cola while enjoying the mountain breeze—this is exactly what a vacation should be like.
The room's hardware can be summed up in two words: solid and reliable. Beyond being clean and tidy, the 'rainforest' shower's stable water pressure and temperature were truly impressive. The hotel also thoughtfully implemented a dry-wet separation in the bathroom, completely eliminating the awkwardness of worrying about splashing the toilet while showering. The experience was very comfortable and smooth. The bedding, as always, maintained Le Méridien's high standards, soft, fluffy, and supportive, allowing me to sleep soundly until I woke up naturally.
Environment | French Romance Hidden in the Mountains
If the guest room brought surprise, then the entire hotel environment was stunning. Le Méridien Xiamen's location is meticulously chosen, nestled charmingly on the mountainside of Xian'gueshan. The overall architectural style leans towards a resort villa, so secluded and tranquil that it doesn't feel like it's in the bustling downtown area of the island. Compared to many coastal hotels that face the humidity and noise of sea winds, the mountain landscape here truly provides another level of spiritual enjoyment. The hotel's artistic atmosphere, from the corridors to the public spaces, everywhere you can feel the unique imprint of French aesthetics. Whether it's the artistic flair of the chandeliers or the fragrance in the lobby, everything constantly reminds me that I'm staying in a stylish Le Méridien. The dense vegetation surrounding the hotel makes it feel like living in a natural oxygen bar. A morning jog in Xian'gueshan Park, enjoying the pleasure of sweating freely in the mountains, is a unique experience that you can never feel in a hotel gym.
Service and Details | Thoughtfulness Hidden in Every Detail
The staff, from the front desk to the concierge, maintained a perfectly measured, welcoming smile. During check-in, the front desk lady patiently asked about my preferences. Knowing that I valued privacy and quiet, she specifically helped arrange a room set apart from other guests on the same floor, handling everything gently and efficiently, which was truly heartwarming. The hotel also provides a free shuttle bus service down the mountain, making it convenient to travel to the Seaworld shopping center and Dongdu Ferry Terminal. On weekends and holidays, there's even a free shuttle bus connecting to popular attractions like Zhongshan Road and Baicheng Beach. One evening, a guest was inconsiderately skipping rope upstairs; after calling the front desk, they responded immediately and resolved the issue quickly! Truly commendable!
Conclusion
On the day of check-out, the morning sun still gently warmed the garden view balcony, as if possessing a magic that made me reluctant to close the door and leave. To be honest, I've stayed in many hotels, but rarely have I felt such a pang of reluctance upon departure as this time. It embodies the entire mountain forest, yet never strays from the human world, truly interpreting the beautiful realm of 'hidden in the bustling city, yet nestled in the mountains.' If you long for a tranquil vacation experience, listening to the wind on the mountainside, then Le Méridien Xiamen's Garden View Balcony King Room is definitely worth unlocking!

Guest UserThe Xiamen Pullman Shimao Hotel is quite good. The entire hotel is massive, and upon arrival, it feels like stepping into a French chateau. The hotel is divided into three areas: Xihai, Ruihai, and Yihai Town. This time, I stayed in Xihai. The hotel lobby is grand and impressive, with a magnificent dome. The staff were also good; they helped carry my luggage to the lobby as soon as I got out of the car. The front desk staff were efficient, and check-in was quick. In particular, a lady with glasses in the lobby provided excellent service; she was very helpful and explained everything in detail. She was probably a supervisor, though I didn't catch her name. The hotel room was spacious; as soon as I opened the door, the curtains automatically drew back, revealing a view of the ocean. The room was roomy, comfortable, clean, and tidy. The bathroom was also large, with a separate wet and dry area and a bathtub. The two sinks were particularly convenient. The bedding was soft and comfortable. The hotel is close to the sea, just a few minutes' walk to Rainbow Beach. The hotel offers both an indoor heated pool and an outdoor infinity pool to choose from. You can enjoy the beach or swim in the hotel's pools. There are also several children's play areas. Every corner of the hotel feels incredibly picturesque, especially Yihai Town, where every short walk reveals a new theme. It's fantastic for families with children and for ladies who love taking photos. The entire hotel is genuinely huge; I feel like I haven't even explored it all. I'll definitely come back to stay again, and next time I'll try Ruihai for a different experience. There was one minor issue: the hairdryer plug in the bathroom kept falling out and didn't stay securely. That needs to be addressed. Overall, the hotel is still very good. The Pullman is a hotel I would happily return to.
