GGuest UserFrom the moment we booked the room, a dedicated butler group was created for us. They bought our round-trip ferry tickets, and upon disembarking, a butler was waiting at the pier to help with our luggage—we didn't have to carry anything ourselves. Our butler, Isak, was incredibly thoughtful. He not only planned a route to Gulangyu Island that avoided the crowds, but also went out to buy me medicine when he knew I wasn't feeling well. This friend-like care was so heartwarming.
The room's details were impeccable: Aesop toiletries, a Wenxian turndown fragrance, a handwritten welcome note, a complimentary minibar, and even a different set of Gulangyu poems on gold-flecked paper by the bedside each day. The turndown service drew the curtains, lit the aromatherapy, and even prepared a meditation chair—truly taking ”natural healing” to the extreme.

We were so pleasantly surprised to find this suite that could accommodate all of us in one room! No need to split up, it was lively and comfortable the whole time, and our travel happiness factor was off the charts~
The bathroom design was especially thoughtful, with a complete wet/dry separation, and the shower and toilet were independently separated. The double sink design was fantastic! We could all get ready and wash up at the same time without feeling cramped; it even had a bathtub, perfect for a relaxing soak after a long day of fun~
One side of the room offered a sea view. While not a full frontal sea view, the expansive vista and ambiance were amazing, and every photo turned out beautifully.
The amenities were comprehensive. The first round of drinks in the room's mini-fridge was complimentary, and it also came with a full tea set, wine glasses, along with free tea bags and coffee, making it convenient for a drink or a chat over tea. The room type was a king bed plus a sofa bed, so five people staying didn't feel crowded at all. You can contact housekeeping to request extra blankets!
The hotel service was truly attentive! Before check-in, our dedicated butler proactively communicated about our arrival time and followed up attentively throughout. After check-in, any request was met promptly, with detailed and unperfunctory service. They even offered complimentary drinks from the bar. The service experience was top-notch!
The breakfast spread was rich and varied, a combination of Chinese and Western options, and very delicious~ Overall, the room was clean and tidy with excellent natural light. The hotel is located directly opposite the beach, though the area is a bit secluded, perfect for a comfortable and relaxing vacation.
The only minor regret was not having enough time to experience facilities like the gym and swimming pool. Also, there were few indoor seats; it would be even better with a couple more chairs. Overall, both the value for money and the experience were excellent. It's the top choice for group travel, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Xiamen!

Our dedicated butler, William, provided incredibly attentive service. He thoughtfully delivered our takeout to the room and patiently explained each of the hotel's unique recreational activities. Every small request I made was handled promptly and meticulously throughout my stay, with timely responses and a gentle yet appropriately boundaries-respecting service.
The room's amenities are of superior quality, and the spacious, airy layout made for a truly comfortable and pleasant stay. The hotel restaurant's cuisine was outstanding, with refined and impressive flavors. During my stay, I enjoyed both the cocktail workshop and a yacht excursion, which made for a fulfilling yet relaxing itinerary. The entire trip slowly dissolved my accumulated inner turmoil and烦闷, leaving me fully relaxed in body and mind. Overall, it was an exceptional stay, and definitely worth making a special trip for a holiday.

GGuest UserAs an IHG member, I chose the InterContinental Xiamen Seaview for a trip to Xiamen with my parents to celebrate my mother's birthday. I communicated my needs via email before arrival, and the hotel upgraded us to a high-floor sea view room upon check-in, offering superb views, including a glimpse of the Mazu statue. The beach is just a ten-minute walk away, and getting around by taxi is very convenient. The room included a complimentary first round of mini-bar items and welcome fruit. The pool and sauna experience were excellent.
When a minor issue arose with the room equipment, the hotel promptly responded by upgrading us to an adjacent room, and the resolution was very satisfactory. Special thanks to our butler, Vivian, who was incredibly responsive and helpful with all matters throughout our stay, solving many of our problems with exceptional dedication. The breakfast selection was extensive, and they even provided an extra breakfast for our party of three. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Xiamen.

GGuest UserJust checked out today, so I'm writing down my thoughts while they're fresh. My stay at the Novotel Xiamen Central these past few days was surprisingly therapeutic, surrounded by lush greenery everywhere. The lobby on the first floor is beautifully decorated, and it's also a pet-friendly hotel. I brought my dog along this time, and thanks to Manager Zhong Ganghua's proactive communication and coordination, our stay was excellent, especially since my dog is a bit shy. It doesn't feel like a traditional, rigid hotel; instead, it's like staying in a vibrant, living space. I enjoyed sitting on the sofa in the common area in the afternoon, with sunlight filtering through the leaves, casting dappled shadows. My dog had a great time too! The service was attentive, the facilities are new, and the bedding is comfortable. Next time I'm in Xiamen, I'll definitely prioritize staying here again!

The hotel's ambiance is elegant and grand, with a charming, antique-infused lobby featuring just the right amount of greenery, creating a peaceful oasis amidst the bustle. The guest rooms are clean, tidy, and spacious, with soft, comfortable bedding. The soundproofing is excellent, ensuring an undisturbed night's sleep, and all amenities are complete and well-maintained.
The service was truly impeccable. The front desk staff were warm and polite, and check-in was efficient and quick. A special shout-out to Lobby Manager Wu Yanzu for being so thoughtful and enthusiastic, and the housekeeping staff were meticulous and attentive. The service throughout our stay was proactive and thorough, with prompt responses to all our needs. The complimentary airport pick-up and shuttle service to tourist attractions were particularly thoughtful, and the staff patiently answered all our questions about getting around.
This established five-star hotel lives up to its reputation with a comfortable environment and heartwarming service. It's perfect for both leisure and business travelers. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Xiamen.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would happily stay here again.
The location is excellent. It's right next to the metro, directly across the road from China City Mall, and within easy walking distance of Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, the waterfront and the ferry wharf. It made exploring Xiamen incredibly easy.
The staff were consistently helpful and efficient. They obtained information about the Xiamen-Kinmen ferry, which was greatly appreciated. The breakfast restaurant staff deserve special mention as they were always friendly, welcoming and genuinely seemed pleased to see their guests each morning.
The room itself was lovely. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was excellent and while I didn't use the bath, the shower was very good. The hotel also has a nice swimming pool, gym and lounge area, all of which added to the overall experience.
Breakfast was good, with plenty of choices, both Asian and Western, and a pleasant atmosphere.
I only intended to stay a short time, but enjoyed both the hotel and Xiamen enough that I extended my stay by an extra night. From my room I had good views, including Zheng Chenggong's statue on Gulangyu Island and Xiamen's Twin Towers in the distance.
This hotel certainly helped make my stay in Xiamen an enjoyable one. I left with very positive memories and would gladly stay here again.

The sky had already darkened upon arrival. Winding our way up the tree-lined paths of Xian'gueshan Mountain, the air gradually became moist and cool. It felt like a magical escape from the bustling, humid city, into a 'city oasis' nestled in the mountains. The moment I opened the room door after checking in, the fatigue from the journey instantly melted away.

The room felt very spacious, with a layout of about 40 square meters that was just right. What surprised me the most, naturally, was the exquisite private balcony. Le Méridien's room types each offer different views, and I chose the garden view balcony room specifically for a quiet, relaxing stay. After all, in a mountain setting surrounded by dense vegetation, a few insects are perfectly normal, and the garden view neatly sidestepped that issue. Opening the window in the morning, the lush green central courtyard came into view. Instead of the city's hustle and bustle, I heard the crisp, pleasant chirping of morning birds and the sweet, fresh air blowing from the mountains. I couldn't help but close my eyes and take several deep breaths. Returning to the room in the evening, I lay on the balcony chair, clearing my mind, sipping an iced cola while enjoying the mountain breeze—this is exactly what a vacation should be like.
The room's hardware can be summed up in two words: solid and reliable. Beyond being clean and tidy, the 'rainforest' shower's stable water pressure and temperature were truly impressive. The hotel also thoughtfully implemented a dry-wet separation in the bathroom, completely eliminating the awkwardness of worrying about splashing the toilet while showering. The experience was very comfortable and smooth. The bedding, as always, maintained Le Méridien's high standards, soft, fluffy, and supportive, allowing me to sleep soundly until I woke up naturally.
Environment | French Romance Hidden in the Mountains
If the guest room brought surprise, then the entire hotel environment was stunning. Le Méridien Xiamen's location is meticulously chosen, nestled charmingly on the mountainside of Xian'gueshan. The overall architectural style leans towards a resort villa, so secluded and tranquil that it doesn't feel like it's in the bustling downtown area of the island. Compared to many coastal hotels that face the humidity and noise of sea winds, the mountain landscape here truly provides another level of spiritual enjoyment. The hotel's artistic atmosphere, from the corridors to the public spaces, everywhere you can feel the unique imprint of French aesthetics. Whether it's the artistic flair of the chandeliers or the fragrance in the lobby, everything constantly reminds me that I'm staying in a stylish Le Méridien. The dense vegetation surrounding the hotel makes it feel like living in a natural oxygen bar. A morning jog in Xian'gueshan Park, enjoying the pleasure of sweating freely in the mountains, is a unique experience that you can never feel in a hotel gym.
Service and Details | Thoughtfulness Hidden in Every Detail
The staff, from the front desk to the concierge, maintained a perfectly measured, welcoming smile. During check-in, the front desk lady patiently asked about my preferences. Knowing that I valued privacy and quiet, she specifically helped arrange a room set apart from other guests on the same floor, handling everything gently and efficiently, which was truly heartwarming. The hotel also provides a free shuttle bus service down the mountain, making it convenient to travel to the Seaworld shopping center and Dongdu Ferry Terminal. On weekends and holidays, there's even a free shuttle bus connecting to popular attractions like Zhongshan Road and Baicheng Beach. One evening, a guest was inconsiderately skipping rope upstairs; after calling the front desk, they responded immediately and resolved the issue quickly! Truly commendable!
Conclusion
On the day of check-out, the morning sun still gently warmed the garden view balcony, as if possessing a magic that made me reluctant to close the door and leave. To be honest, I've stayed in many hotels, but rarely have I felt such a pang of reluctance upon departure as this time. It embodies the entire mountain forest, yet never strays from the human world, truly interpreting the beautiful realm of 'hidden in the bustling city, yet nestled in the mountains.' If you long for a tranquil vacation experience, listening to the wind on the mountainside, then Le Méridien Xiamen's Garden View Balcony King Room is definitely worth unlocking!
