"Absolutely nothing good to say about this hotel: Terrible front desk service! The in-room Wi-Fi was abysmal! Deliveries can only be picked up from a shelf outside the hotel entrance! Honestly, besides the very kind security guard who helps with airport transfers, I can't find a single positive thing to mention. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!!!!"

"The housekeepers were all very warm, polite, and accommodating. They even greeted me proactively when I met them before heading out. The room service staff were also incredibly thoughtful; when I wasn't feeling well and asked for a cup of warm water, they brought me a whole pot. The only downside was the air conditioning, which I wasn't happy with at all, as it was very, very slow to adjust the temperature. The view was fantastic, and I really appreciated that my room was ready early for check-in."

"Located on Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, it's very convenient for getting to the pier or catching a ride. The accommodation environment is also good. Downsides: The signal was terrible; my phone essentially had no service, and the hotel WiFi was very slow, sometimes even showing no internet connection. The laundry room was always crowded at night, with only three washing machines and two dryers. I had to go in the mornings. This last point is debatable, but if anyone experiences something similar, it's worth considering: Someone in my family has a very sensitive respiratory system. They wouldn't cough while out and about during the day, but as soon as we were back at the hotel, they would start coughing (I had no symptoms and didn't smell anything). One night, the coughing was so severe they couldn't sleep. Initially, we thought it was a cold, so we went to a nearby community service center and got medicine, which they took for a few days without effect. After we switched to another hotel, this issue completely disappeared."

"First off, the hotel's location is fantastic. It's right next to Zhongshan Road and within walking distance to Bashi Market, making it super lively at night with tons of food options. Secondly, getting around is a breeze. There's a bus stop right outside, making public transport very convenient. Plus, there's a ferry terminal directly across the street. If you're coming back from Gulangyu, you can take a bus from Sanqiuming Pier to this ferry terminal, cross the road, and you're pretty much at the hotel – no need for a taxi or another bus! Finally, the security is top-notch. You need to swipe your card twice to enter: once to take the elevator to your floor to find your room, and then again to get into your room. This is the first hotel I've stayed at with this kind of system, and it really made me feel safe and secure!"

"Found a gem for our family trip to Xiamen! The Weishang Garden Hotel's family room is simply divine. It's in a prime location on Zhongshan Road, with a charming Nanyang retro vibe. Stepping out, you're surrounded by street food and shopping districts. It's super close to the ferry terminal and the Bashi market, saving us a lot of travel time. The room is incredibly spacious, bursting with a playful, child-friendly atmosphere. My kids instantly fell in love with the bunk bed with a slide, and the safety rails gave us parents peace of mind. There were dolls, building blocks, and a small tent – enough to keep the little ones entertained for half the day, meaning we didn't have to keep an eye on them constantly. The room also features a private little balcony, and the faint scent of tea in the corridor made us feel instantly relaxed upon entering. The entire room is equipped with smart devices, and the toiletries were clean and high-quality. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the floor is covered with soft mats, so we didn't have to worry about the kids bumping themselves while running barefoot. Robot delivery is available 24/7, and the concierge was incredibly responsive to our requests. The bedding was soft, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep. It's spacious and comfortable enough for a family of three or even families with two children. Our kids were already asking to come back next time we left. This is definitely our top choice for family accommodation!"

"Highly recommend the Vshang Zhongshan Road branch! The location is unbeatable – step right out onto Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street with all sorts of old-brand snacks easily accessible. It's also just a 5-minute walk to Zhenhai Road Metro Station, making trips to Gulangyu Island and the Eight Markets super convenient. The hotel boasts a Nanyang arcade-style designer aesthetic, and the hallways have a subtle tea fragrance, not an overpowering artificial scent, which is a very pleasant experience. The rooms are spotless, and the smart home devices are simple to operate. The bedding is soft and the soundproofing is excellent, providing a rare quiet haven in the middle of a bustling area. The front desk service is attentive and thoughtful; they proactively shared local tips to avoid tourist traps and even offered free luggage storage after check-out. My entire stay was smooth and comfortable. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Xiamen."

"For my Xiamen trip, I stayed at Zhenyue Meisu (Zhongshan Road Ferry Terminal branch) the entire time, and I truly feel I made the right choice. The overall stay was exceptionally satisfying, offering incredible value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Xiamen – you can book it with your eyes closed! The biggest plus is definitely the location; it's absolutely impeccable. It's very close to the ferry terminal for Gulangyu Island, within walking distance, so there's no need to wake up early to rush or take a taxi around. It makes visiting the island super convenient. The surrounding area is Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, full of local snacks, drink shops, and supermarkets, making for a lively evening of eating and shopping. It's also very close to Zhenhai Road Metro Station, which means getting to Shapowei, Huangcuo Beach, or any city attraction is incredibly easy and efficient. The guesthouse was newly renovated in the past two years, so the facilities are pristine and clean, with a simple yet comfortable style and a great ambiance. The front desk staff provided exceptionally attentive service. Check-in and check-out were very fast, efficient, and never dragged. They were very patient with route inquiries and luggage storage, making for a very pleasant service experience. The free luggage storage was truly practical, allowing us to easily explore the last attractions on our departure day without having to rush with our bags. The room hygiene was excellent; every corner was spotless. The bedding was clean, soft, and free of odors or dust, ensuring a very comfortable sleep. The bathroom's wet and dry separation design was well-thought-out, with stable water pressure and plenty of hot water, making showers incredibly relaxing. The air conditioning cooled very effectively, so staying in summer was never stuffy. The room's Wi-Fi was stable and fast, perfect for streaming shows, researching travel plans, or working without any issues. The amenities are also very comprehensive. The guesthouse provides self-service laundry and drying facilities, which is incredibly convenient for long-term travelers to wash and dry accumulated dirty clothes at any time. The soundproofing in the rooms also exceeded expectations. Despite being in a bustling commercial area, it was completely quiet once the windows were closed, ensuring a restful night's sleep undisturbed by outside noise. My sleep quality was excellent. Considering the location, hygiene, service, and amenities, finding this quality at this price point in the city center is truly rare. My entire stay was comfortable and worry-free, with no disappointments whatsoever. The next time I visit Xiamen, I will still prioritize this guesthouse, and I sincerely recommend it to my traveling friends!"

"I actually booked Niaodao Seaview Chaosu by accident, as my wife has had bad experiences with many seemingly beautiful guesthouses from photos. However, after staying in a suite at Niaodao for three nights, my wife was satisfied, and with her happy, I was naturally at ease 😄. To be fair, the service attitude was top-notch, and the hygiene was excellent. We had unlimited complimentary mineral water daily. The lobby (on the 7th floor) has a dedicated smoking room with good ventilation. Gulangyu Island is right across from us, offering a fantastic first-person view from the window. It was especially charming and unique during the stormy weather we experienced 🤫. If guests are returning from Gulangyu Island after 6 PM, they can take the Xiamen Ferry, which is directly opposite the hotel, just through an underpass. (Note: In the morning, ferries to Gulangyu only depart from Dongdu). Right outside Niaodao's entrance is the start of Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street. You absolutely cannot say the location isn't good, can you? The 24th floor of this building houses the tallest Pizza Hut in China 😄. On the first floor, there's a 24-hour supermarket. To the left of the hotel entrance, there's a Commue Western restaurant and bar. If you don't feel like wandering around at night, you can just grab a cocktail here. There's also a Starbucks, and across the street is Heping Wharf, where you can take various Lujiang River cruises and night tours. There's also a travel agency on the first floor where you can inquire about tours to nearby attractions like the Tulou. The double-decker tourist bus stop is also right outside. A taxi to Dongdu Wharf takes 15 minutes. A taxi to the cable car takes 15 minutes. A taxi to the airport takes 30 minutes. Didn't run into Huang Bo, nor the beautiful proprietress. They are cousins."
