"I checked into your hotel on September 6th, and as a five-star international brand under the Hyatt group, I was deeply disappointed with my stay. Throughout my visit, the issues exposed in your hotel's service standards and attention to detail were significantly below what I expect from the 'Andaz' brand. Firstly, the concierge service was severely lacking, and the parking experience was abysmal. When I arrived at the hotel by car, the concierge staff at the entrance were indifferent and seemingly inexperienced. When I inquired about parking, the first concierge was dismissive, merely instructing me to 'turn right out the gate,' which was unclear and led to me failing to find the car park. Upon returning and asking another concierge, I was told that the surface parking was full and that I needed to drive around the MixC complex to enter the underground garage from the back. However, the signage within the MixC underground car park was extremely confusing, with many通道 blocked. I spent nearly 40 minutes navigating the car park, asking multiple people for directions and even driving against traffic several times, before finally locating the hotel's parking area. For a five-star hotel, such an inconvenient parking process is unfathomable. The normal standard operation should include clear valet parking options, or at the very least, detailed parking instructions with maps and visuals. Your current arrangement not only fails to provide convenience but also caused significant distress and potential traffic safety hazards for guests. Secondly, the welcome fruit in the room was of poor quality and had spoiled. After checking in and entering my room, I ate an apple provided by the hotel. After one bite (thankfully I didn't swallow it), I discovered it was rotten. While welcome fruit may seem like a small gesture, it is a basic service that reflects the hotel's care and attention to guests. The presence of 'rotten fruit' severely violates basic food safety requirements and greatly damages the guest's first impression of the hotel. Thirdly, the concierge staff exhibited 'favoritism' or snobbish behavior. When I went out in the evening, I noticed that the ground-level concierge staff at the entrance seemed to be selectively screening guest vehicles, choosing who to offer the scarce surface parking spots to. This behavior of differential treatment based on vehicle class or guest appearance, even if sometimes heard of in some high-end luxury establishments overseas, is extremely inappropriate and smacks of commercialism for a brand positioned like Andaz. This conduct not only undermines the principle of fair service but also made waiting guests feel offended. In summary, the three issues mentioned above – from chaotic traffic flow planning and a lack of basic quality control to inadequate staff training – all point to clear operational and management flaws in your hotel. I chose Andaz for its unique taste and reliable service as a high-end brand under Hyatt, but this experience clearly fell short."

"The room had a Nanyang-inspired feel. Although the hotel has been open for over forty years, the interior decor, furnishings, and amenities are all very new, with no sense of being outdated at all. We arrived a bit early, but the front desk didn't hesitate and arranged our room immediately. The room was incredibly spacious, and the balcony and windows offered direct views of Gulangyu Island and the sea – truly a prime sea view. (It was especially comfortable working overtime there while listening to the sound of the waves). Every evening, there was a stewed dish, delicious and light. Breakfast is a must-have, especially the made-to-order dim sum items; you'll want to keep ordering and eating them. The location is excellent, very close to Gulangyu, Zhongshan Road, and Xiamen University. It's rare to find a hotel with such a great location and excellent hardware and software – it's uncommon even across the country. I'll definitely be booking here every time I come to Xiamen from now on."

"Extremely satisfied! 1. I originally planned to check in and drop off our luggage before taking my child out, but my child fell asleep on the way 😂. A big thanks to Gemma for contacting housekeeping. Even though our reserved room wasn't ready at around 12 PM, she found another room for my child to rest in. I'm very grateful! We were also allowed a late check-out until 1:30 PM today. They truly tried their best to meet our needs when it was possible. 2. The front desk staff didn't constantly push for room upgrades, unlike what some other reviews mentioned. They didn't even bring it up once. 3. The room was very spacious, the bedding was comfortable, and the large bathtub was, as always, my child's favorite. Photo 1 is the city view room used for resting, and the back is the sea view room."

"I genuinely feel that this hotel in Xiamen is the one I regret not having stayed at sooner. The service here is truly the best in all of Xiamen, bar none. From the housekeeping staff to the front desk and even Cece at the executive lounge, I can honestly say that the service at Fairmont Xiamen is incredibly meticulous and absolutely fantastic. From the detailed explanation of the hotel's history to the thoughtful service in every aspect while sitting in the lounge, including a wonderfully delicious breakfast – I will definitely stay at the Fairmont again next time!"

"I only stayed one night at the Xiamen W for a layover, and it was a surprisingly great experience, especially since I had an early morning flight. The hotel has a really trendy vibe, and the room was comfortable, so I got some good rest. I couldn't make it for the sit-down breakfast because of my early flight, but the hotel thoughtfully arranged a packed breakfast for me, which was incredibly helpful for someone rushing to the airport. I also took a quick look at the gym, and all the equipment looked brand new. The staff were all very responsive and efficient. The location is also convenient, perfect for a one-night layover. It was an excellent W experience overall."

"Our family of four had an incredible vacation at the HUALUXE Xiamen Haicang this time, and we're especially grateful for the thoughtful care from our butler, Jennie! She helped us get a spacious and comfortable room, and even prepared children's toiletries and a guide to nearby family-friendly activities in advance. Her responses were prompt and appropriate, making us feel cared for without being intrusive, allowing us to relax completely throughout our stay. The service quality at HUALUXE is top-notch, and Jennie is both professional and warm-hearted. This will be our first choice for future family trips, and we'd love to try other HUALUXE properties if the opportunity arises."

"【Brief Review】It’s expensive for a reason. 【Environment】1. Room style preferences are subjective. The view outside the window wasn't as bad as I'd imagined – the downstairs pool, park, villas, and the 'Li He' on the roof, plus the distant twinkling lights of the city like a river of stars, and the layered sky. Lying in bed watching the clouds drift by was incredibly relaxing. 2. The room amenities are Aesop (also in the hotel's public restrooms and pool showers). There's a pillow menu with various options, sleep masks are provided, and bath tub liners are available if you want a soak. The minibar is quite well-stocked. Unique touches include the postcards in the Hermes orange folder and the inside of the umbrella. The TV volume in the room was extremely low. Also, for some reason, the computer connected to Wi-Fi but couldn't access the internet; the login page didn't pop up (though it was fine on my phone). Additionally, the doors to the bathroom and toilet were a bit transparent, even though we were staying with someone familiar… 3. The various restaurants in the hotel's public areas each have their own character, and every section feels thoughtfully designed. Even the intricate details of the pool corridor, adorned with light and shadow, felt beautiful. It felt like exploring the hotel was like visiting an exhibition. If the weather is bad or it’s too sunny, strolling around the hotel is a great alternative to going out. 【Service】Nico and Alisa's proactive communication and timely responses were excellent. The welcome staff and front desk during check-in made us feel very comfortable. All the staff we encountered in different areas during our stay were great. The overall service definitely matches the hardware, and the souvenir at check-out was also very exquisite, making you feel like, 'Yes, this is truly Waldorf Astoria.' However, there might be some new staff who seemed a bit nervous. Finally, I'd like to thank them for the upgrade; the view was even better. Some small details could still be improved. 【Dining】(1) The Chinese restaurant is still the best. (2) The buffet breakfast and the Chinese restaurant share the same space. The variety was decent, and the individual items were alright. Although it's a buffet, there aren't many à la carte options. It was rare to find shrimp dumplings and phoenix claws. The signature satay noodles finally had a decent taste (the broth was a bit too rich; you can add some clear soup if you don't like it too thick, but at least it's closer to local taste than Andaz or Voco). Local specialties like beef soup, fish balls, and vermicelli paste were also available, but local snack options were still a bit limited. They also offered sparkling wine, which is a nice touch for those who like an early morning drink. Western options like croissants, baguettes, and Danish pastries were also available (though a companion felt the food stations were too scattered, similar to Voco, but I feel this arrangement allows for more diverse uses, for example, transforming into the Chinese restaurant after breakfast). By the way, the extended breakfast hours until 11:00 on weekends are fantastic! (3) I loved the eel fry for the second round of drinks. Other options felt pretty standard; it was mainly about enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of chatting with friends while listening to the live band (ordering songs from the band costs 200/song, which felt a bit pricey). 【Facilities】1. The pool is excellent (not a professional lap pool, but more for leisure), and there's a sauna. 2. The gym facilities are also comprehensive, but children under 16 are not allowed."

"This stay truly exceeded my expectations, and I have to give it a big shout-out! First, let's talk about the room. I was a bit worried after reading some reviews, but the room I was assigned this time was fantastic. I booked a room with a balcony, and it was genuinely spacious with a great view. As soon as I walked in, it felt clean and fresh overall. The floors and desk were spotless, and the sheets and duvet cover were clean and soft, making for a very comfortable sleep. I especially loved the pillows – I even want to buy one to take home! The bathroom area was well-cleaned, and the toiletries were fully stocked. I particularly enjoyed the Atelier Cologne shampoo and shower gel; they felt great to use. The toothbrushes provided were soft and comfortable, the razor produced plenty of foam and worked well, and the comb was a foldable style, perfect for travel. There were even special toiletries for children from Dyx, and the bathtub in the room was also great, haha. The room lighting was just right. Moreover, the cleaning staff were very polite – the most enthusiastic service people I've encountered. They always greeted me proactively whenever I came or went. The hygiene was spot-on, the wooden floor in the room was clean and bright, and the bathroom was fresh and tidy. The entire room was very comfortable, perfect for a vacation. Now, about the check-in process. A polite young bellhop girl greeted me at the entrance and enthusiastically helped with my luggage; I was actually worried she might not be able to carry it all. The front desk attendant was also warm and courteous. Check-in was very fast, with no long wait. She spoke very softly and gently, patiently answering all my questions and introducing many activities – too many to remember, actually, but luckily, I added the concierge's WeChat. I want to specifically commend the front desk concierge, Xiao Pu. Her service was exceptionally thoughtful. She responded promptly to requests and was very pleasant to communicate with. She's diligent and meticulous, considering every detail, which made me feel highly valued. From check-in to room service, the entire hotel's service was consistently excellent, not perfunctory, and without that cold, assembly-line feeling. Whether it was a routine inquiry at the front desk or a request related to the room, the efficiency was high. Xiao Pu's attentive follow-up throughout made a significant positive difference. The overall value for money is high, and I felt safe and comfortable. I will definitely choose this place again next time I visit, and I recommend it to anyone planning to stay!"

"First, four points that deserve high praise: 1. **Excellent Service:** Staff were always on hand at the hotel lobby entrance to help with car doors and luggage when getting in or out. 2. **Spacious Design:** The hotel lobby has a grand, high-ceiling design, and the rooms are sufficiently spacious. 3. **Well-Equipped Gym:** The gym is large and has a wide variety of equipment. 4. **Varied Breakfast:** The breakfast selection is extensive. And three points that need improvement: 1. **Unpleasant Odor:** The hallway on the 16th floor, as well as my room, had a strange smell like a laundry room and drainage pipes. The indoor ventilation was poor. 2. **Insufficient Delivery Robots:** There weren't enough delivery robots, so most food deliveries had to be left in a locker in the hotel parking lot, requiring guests to go down and pick them up themselves. 3. **Limited Power Outlets:** The double room only had one power outlet by the bed, which isn't very convenient for guests staying in this room type."

"8/10 – A very good stay with some room for service improvement Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at InterContinental Xiamen. The hotel is impressive, the facilities are good, and our upgraded Premier Sea View room was comfortable with a beautiful view. We particularly appreciated the hotel taking our feedback seriously and making an effort to improve our experience. There were, however, a few service inconsistencies during the stay. Communication regarding our room request could have been more responsive, and we also encountered an interaction with a restaurant management staff member that did not reflect the level of courtesy and professionalism we normally associate with InterContinental. What impressed us was the way the hotel responded after our concerns were raised. The situation was handled professionally, and the effort made to ensure the remainder of our stay was comfortable was genuinely appreciated. Overall, a good InterContinental property with strong potential. With slightly more consistency in service and attention to guest interactions, it could easily become an excellent one. We would be happy to return. Rating: 8/10."
