"Traveling with three teenagers aged 16+. We arrived in Xiamen late at night, reaching the hotel around 10 PM. First, let's talk about the downsides. The hotel is right next to a parking lot. Upon check-in, we were informed that there would be subway construction from 6 AM to 10 PM, which might be noisy. We were given two twin rooms on the 5th floor. One had a window facing a wall, and the other overlooked the parking lot. The rooms also had a slight odor, so I was a bit unhappy initially. However, once the windows were closed, you couldn't hear a thing! And then the advantages became even more apparent. Being a new hotel, the bathroom facilities are modern, convenient, and smart. The shower has a one-touch on/off button, simple temperature control, and strong water pressure. The shampoo and conditioner are good, as is the hairdryer. The room lights also have a convenient one-touch switch. The curtains open and close automatically, and the smart TV allows screen mirroring and shows the status of the washing machines and dryers. The latex pillows are comfortable, and the towels are individually wrapped. These are all Atour's signature selling points, and this hotel excels in them too. There are plenty of washing machines and dryers. What's particularly impressive is that there's always a staff member attending to the laundry room. If you hang your dirty clothes on the door, someone will collect them even in the middle of the night, wash and dry them, and then hang them back on your door. If you go to the laundry room yourself and don't have time to dry your clothes, they'll dry them for you and return them to your room – super convenient! Young people can't do without takeout, and the robot delivers directly to the room, 24 hours a day. Although the environment directly outside the hotel isn't ideal, the location is very convenient. On one side are Shapowei, University Street, and Art West District; on the other side is the sea, within walking distance to Yanwu Bridge Platform and Twin Towers. It's perfect for teenagers who sleep late and wake up late, allowing everyone to go their separate ways. Atour 'Jianye''s first-floor library changes its drink offerings daily, with options like lemon kumquat water and watermelon lemon water. It's a great place to hang out if you don't want to stay in your room. After finishing 'Han Xizai,' I even found a copy of 'Turbulent Times: A Brief History of the Five Dynasties' – an unexpected delight! You can borrow books you can't finish and return them at any other Atour hotel. The kids don't usually get up for breakfast, so we didn't book it. But then Xiamen was hit by a typhoon and heavy rain, so we decided to have breakfast at the hotel instead – and it was an absolute surprise! They had local specialties like Shacha noodles, which could also be made into wontons or rice noodles. The toppings were incredibly rich, including shrimp, oysters, fish balls, quail eggs, and mushrooms. Their special seafood paste was just as good as the one we had the day before for 39 yuan. The fruits, like ginseng fruit and guava, were juicy and of high quality. I had my first ever bean dregs pancake here at Atour. There were also vegetable cups with chickpeas. The quality of the coffee and soy milk was evident. Even if I had paid 48 yuan for breakfast, it would have been worth it, even though mine was complimentary. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with my stay at Atour Jianye Shapowei."

"I was really pleasantly surprised by the room this time! The bedding felt super comfortable, and the bed runner design was very stylish. The lighting created such a warm and inviting atmosphere, it truly felt like coming home at night. The hallway carpets and wall colors were also very chic, perfect for photos. The front desk was very efficient during check-in and even reminded me about breakfast times, which was a nice thoughtful touch."

"This is a fantastic hotel! The facilities are excellent and very new, and the cleanliness is top-notch. The air is fresh, and you can open the windows, so the environment is great. The soundproofing is also excellent; you can't hear any noise from outside the room. The front desk staff were very friendly and enthusiastic, and they even upgraded our room for free. They have robots that can deliver takeout directly to your room. There's a convenience store on the ground floor, and the hotel is very conveniently located for transportation. If you enjoy a stroll, it's quite pleasant. **Ordering takeout:** Tell the rider to go straight from the Taiqing Temple Entrance to the very end, past the second gate, then turn left under the five-star red flag and take the stairs up. ## Overall Impression Spend your days lounging and gazing at the sea, head down to the beach for some evening tide-pooling, and then unwind in your room's hot tub with a show. At Shanshu, time slows down, and your spirits lift."

"The room was very clean overall, and the one I booked had a window, so the natural light was excellent and bright. I was very satisfied during my two-day stay. They were also happy to provide an extra blanket when requested. The staff were all very friendly and responded promptly. The room had an 'Xiaodu' smart assistant, which made controlling the air conditioning, curtains, and lights by voice very convenient. The location is absolutely fantastic, making it easy to get anywhere. Gulangyu Island, the subway, and Xiamen University are all very close by."
