"Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The owner was incredibly thoughtful and upgraded us to a twin room for free. The room was on a high floor with a wide-open view and beautiful scenery outside the window. It was clean, bright, tidy, and well-ventilated, with all the necessary amenities. The location is convenient, quiet, and livable. The service was warm and attentive, and the value for money is excellent. We had a very comfortable check-in experience and will definitely choose this place again for our next stay."

GGuest UserThe room offered a fantastic view, which was truly pleasant. It was well-equipped, spacious, clean, and quiet, making for a very comfortable stay. Both the Chinese and Western restaurants provided excellent service and delicious food. The buffet restaurant also had a great variety of dishes and good service. The hotel's location is excellent, being very close and convenient to attractions like Nanputuo Temple and Xiamen University. A special thanks to our housekeeper Isabella for her attentive and thoughtful service throughout our stay.

MM401720****Choosing the right accommodation was absolutely crucial for this trip! First off, I have to commend the location – it was incredibly convenient for both sightseeing and finding great food, whether on foot or by public transport. It saved so much time on commuting, leaving us stress-free.
The room itself was a pleasant surprise; spotlessly clean, with soft bedding and a fresh-smelling bathroom. Every detail showed thoughtfulness, making our stay incredibly comfortable.
But what I want to praise most is the service, especially the gentleman at the front desk. He was not only super friendly but also very responsible. During check-in, he patiently answered all our questions and proactively gave us detailed recommendations for must-see attractions and hidden culinary gems. He even advised us on how to avoid crowds and which places offered the best value for money, which really helped us plan our itinerary, especially as first-time visitors!
Overall, the experience was fantastic. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit and will recommend it to any friends planning a trip here!

XXiaolingxianI originally booked the Wyndham, but when I arrived, I didn't like it and didn't want to compromise. After contacting Trip.com, I was able to cancel. I'm especially grateful that the hotel didn't complain or drag things out, and quickly processed a no-charge checkout, since I had already checked in at the Wyndham. I then re-booked at the InterContinental. Although the hotel's decor is many years old, the bed was very comfortable and the soundproofing was excellent. All the staff were warm and polite. It's a 10-minute walk to the beach and close to shopping and dining. The breakfast selection is rich, though the Chinese restaurant options are a bit limited.

CCherry KenThis stay was truly satisfying, exceeding my expectations. We've traveled to many countries and stayed in numerous five-star hotels over the past few years, but this hotel has something truly unique and memorable: a dedicated service group for guests.
Often, guests do have needs, but they might be reluctant to communicate them repeatedly or feel awkward asking. With this service group, however, any request can be communicated directly at any time. Responses are almost immediate, and issues are resolved quickly. This level of efficiency and attentiveness is really rare.
What was particularly helpful was that we bought a lot of items, and the hotel was able to receive our packages and deliver them directly to our room, which was incredibly convenient and reassuring. In contrast, at some five-star hotels in China, you'd often have to go to the front desk or a designated area to pick up your deliveries. The service experience here is noticeably more detailed and personalized.
Furthermore, the room itself was a major plus. It was very spacious, with a well-designed and comfortable layout. The bathroom featured a semi-open design, allowing for direct sea views from the bathtub, complemented by floor-to-ceiling windows that offered expansive vistas. The overall decor was modern yet distinctive, with excellent attention to detail, making for a very relaxing stay. The bedding was also very comfortable, contributing to an extremely pleasant overall experience.
Overall, from the facilities to the service details, you can feel the team's dedication. This is a hotel that truly delivers on ”customer experience.”

GGuobao^_^Overall, it was pretty good. The hotel's location is super convenient for getting around. The pier is about 500 meters from the entrance, and it's just a fifteen-minute boat ride to Xiamen No. 1 Pier, making it easy to go anywhere. A concierge even proactively helped us with directions to the pier; he was really enthusiastic 👍. The ferry ticket to Gulangyu Island was only 35 RMB, and the hotel breakfast was decent too.
Regarding the upgrade to a deluxe sea-view room (subject to availability on the day): I booked a superior sea-view room, and the front desk upgraded us to a deluxe sea-view family room.
For the mini-bar, you need to proactively contact the front desk for refills.
Also, for the cute little souvenir doll included in the package, you need to ask the front desk for it.

GGuest UserThis hotel offers great value for money, and the rooms are spotless. The staff are also very friendly. The location is excellent; you can easily catch a taxi right outside, and it's very close to bus stops and the subway. It's super convenient for visiting Xiamen University, Nanputuo Temple, the Botanical Garden, and Jimei School Village. Plus, Zhongshan Road and the Eight Market are within walking distance. Gulangyu Island is right across from the hotel, and it's very close to Neicuoao Pier. The breakfast spread is extensive, and with the addition of the late-night snacks, you can enjoy all the specialty foods Xiamen has to offer.

AAnonymous UserThe room was decent, and the hotel is conveniently located near the seaside and the ferry terminal. It's right next to Zhonghua City, and just a 5-minute walk to Zhongshan Road, though I wouldn't recommend Zhongshan Road as the environment isn't great. The Botanical Garden, Huli Mountain Fortress, Xiamen University, Baicheng Beach, the Coastal Road, and the 'Sea View of Kinmen' tour from Heping Wharf are all worth visiting. Definitely avoid the offshore cruises recommended by people on the street – they're usually from sketchy companies. Breakfast offered a good variety, but the soy milk and fried dough sticks were a bit cold, and I couldn't get used to the duck blood in the oyster vermicelli soup.

WWeiweianHuge thanks to the hotel for the complimentary upgrade to an Executive View Room! The room faced Gulangyu Island, offering beautiful scenery every day. Water and toothbrushes were delivered promptly, and the breakfast selection was quite varied. Overall, it was worth the price.
The only complaint is that upon checkout, they deducted an extra 25 RMB from my deposit without notifying me. When I called to ask, they said it was for a refrigerator magnet. I recall the magnet was on the table, not in the mini-bar, and I genuinely thought it was a complimentary gift from the hotel. I checked once I got home, and there was no price indicated on it. Since I had already left, I didn't bother arguing about it further.

GGuest UserI'm quite sensitive to room odors, so my room was changed to Ruihai. Since they're under the same management, the bill was still processed under XiHai, so I'm leaving my review here.
The most disappointing aspect was the attitude of some of the shuttle bus drivers. We asked if he could take us for a quick spin around the area, as we thought it was beautiful. His response was a blunt 'No.' That was it, no explanation. Wouldn't a standard service industry reply be something like, 'I apologize, but we don't currently offer that service. Due to the high number of guests, we are only providing point-to-point transfers at the moment'? He also responded to walkie-talkie messages impatiently. Can you please not take your frustrations out on guests? You're at work!
Then there were bugs in the room... and when I moved the sofa, there was trash underneath it... I'm not sure what else to say...

GG-Y-QIt's the off-season in Xiamen, so hotel prices were relatively cheap, and they upgraded me to a sea-view room. Breakfast was at the Marriott and had a great variety. This is my third time staying at this hotel... However, today when I tried to extend my stay, the front desk deliberately made things difficult, which was a bit frustrating.
