Staff were very helpful with new customs of a Japanese style hotel, despite the language barrier. Good food and a western style breakfast available. The garden is a wonderful oasis and the ones was very enjoyable.

If you would like to enjoy/experience typical high-end Japanese ryokan. You never regret choosing this hotel. The excellent dinner (I chose fugu-kaiseki) is offered at the individual dining rooms with great privacy. You enjoy quiet moment at their beautiful Japanese garden where many carps. People are very kind and attentive. I had a very impressive time there.

風呂はリニューアルされたとのことで、以前は岩風呂は年寄りや身体が不自由な人には入り難くて避けていましたが、とても入り易くなっていました。夜もいつでも入れるのは嬉しいですね。
ただし、建物とスタッフは一流ながら、朝食は三流でした。最後の時間帯だったからか、シジミの味噌汁は塩辛く、海藻いり？と思ったらビニールか何かの切れ端でした。せっかく好印象だったのに勿体無い。
