The hotel is ski-in and ski-out, and the rented Xiaoheban ski equipment is also cheap. The professional ski equipment in the ski shop opposite is 4 times more expensive. You can rent shoes at the hotel and powder snowboards across the street. The hotel dinner was great, different every night, and the hot spring temperature was very good, but it was boring at night. There are few people from ************** in Shiga Plateau, but there are many Chinese people. Then you can take the long-distance bus from Nagano Train Station to the door of the hotel and get off at the Ichinose Ski Resort.

First of all, the two old men at the front desk were the worst. I was very impressed with the detailed explanation. When we met first thing in the morning, there was no greeting, and I was left wondering where to put my ski shoes. In response to the question, shoes are a room! And looking from above. picture? Can't you put it on the board? When I hear that... it makes me cold. He said it simply. The heating in the ski locker doesn't seem to be working, so tell me first! That's what I thought 💢 There's no refrigerator or safe in the room, and my grandmother's part-time job when I eat? Well, I work too late...even when I ask for alcohol, he doesn't come. Furthermore, the sashimi that was lined up was dry, and the miso was lukewarm...😭 I don't even take a bath in the morning. There were no shops and the whole hotel was dark and cold. It was really frustrating, and my memorable ski trip at the end of the year turned out to be the worst accommodation I've ever had in my long travel life. I'm sorry.

Second visit and booked directly with Hotel Kodama. Great value for money for 3 adults in 1 room with ensuite facility. Breakfast and dinner included. Dinner was particularly good with a rotating menu every 4 days. Very Japanese and traditional, and lots of it! Staff were very friendly and helpful, and appreciated out attempts at Japanese conversation. Hotel would have been a happenind place in its heyday, unfortunately it does look run down and seats in the rooms could do with replacement. Otherwise, it was clean and tidy, well located with the Nagaden bus stop just outside, and a ski rental hire place opposite. There is a convenience store 10mins walk away which was useful (open til 9pm), however there was no bar fridge in the room, which made us improvise on using the window sill as the fridge (worked a treat given how cold it was!). There were lockers provided for your skis/board, there was an ice maker/fridge on our floor, as were the clothes washer and dryer (coin operated). All in all, a very comfortable stay, close to amenities and ski ticket office, and ski runs (both at front and back) - so pretty much ski in/out.

We don't need 5 star, only warm & clean room, close to lifts, good meals dinner was great (though breakfast did run out of food when busy) and helpful staff. Kodama Hotel delivered adequately. Will return.

I used it on New Year's Eve. The heating is fuel-saving, and the feeble steam only works twice, from 7 to 9 in the morning and from 6 to 24 in the evening, so guests say it's cold, but they keep their noses cold and go to the room. Among other things, I wear thick clothes even at places where I eat. In terms of room temperature, 20:00 to 24:00 is a better time. As for meals, hot dishes are served as side dishes, but cold rice is served as rice. Even if you go before the time, the rice bowl is already set and it is cold. There are various writings at the front desk, but the elderly men are still in the bubble period 30 to 40 years ago, and there is no hospitality. Wording from above. It's too close even though it says distance. Shouldn't it be put out at the front desk? I feel said. Middle-aged women are not polite at all, but normal. What do you mean by paying money and being patient? . It was a hotel with no place to evaluate other than the name value of "Shiga Kogen" and its location. When I looked into it, I found that there were similar posts for many years, so I thought it would be meaningless to write in hopes of improving it, but I hope it will be helpful to someone. JTB also has a continuous contract with such a hotel.
