Location is good, opposite is the ski resort, which has good snow. Overall room was well maintained, public Onsen was nice too. However we came during early ski season, there is barely any restaurants opens. Hotel cafe food is a bit expensive, and not much choice (mainly western). If plan to stay may order half board instead, or tell hotel staff to reserve dinner before 10am

We stayed here as a family of 3 with preschool children. I stayed in a recently renovated large twin Japanese-style room, and it was spacious enough for three people to relax. It was also nice that there was a humidifier. The food was Western style and the portions were just right. The breakfast buffet was also delicious. I thought it would be nice to have a little more variety. It's in a great location, just a short walk from Takamagahara, making it very convenient for ski trips. There is a paid service that will wax your hair by the next day if you request it the night before, so I used it. I've never stayed at an accommodation that offered waxing services before, so it was very nice.
