The place is fantastic and the front desk staff is super helpful but there is a long way to go …. There are so many things the place can improve and create an “experience” for the client who is paying decent amount of money. Here is the list - 1) waiting staff should be trained to understand the needs of the customer not appear confused if a request is made which does not fit their expection! 2) Waiting staff should be taught that plates / spoons are essential to eat food one can’t eat yogurt with chopsticks. 3) GYM does not have even one mirror. 4) gym is also used as the storage room and yoga mats are tucked some where hard to find. 5) gym machines are not good quality too light and unsafe to use - it’s better just to have free weights and yoga equipment. Other than this the experience was good - the lady at the reception was helpful and smart. Hope that they learn quickly else the options are plenty !!

I have been eyeing this hotel for a long time, and after checking in, I felt it exceeded my expectations. The overall experience is very good, the manager has a good control of details, the service is very considerate, the staff is sincere and enthusiastic, and the point is that it is very close to the Li River and the core scenic spots and very convenient. The first time I stayed at Guanlan Hotel, I felt like I had entered a secluded secret land of mountains and rivers. The photos are super photogenic! The hotel is in an excellent location, hidden on a peninsula by the Li River, surrounded by layers of green mountains. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the path by the river. It is especially healing to walk along the trail in the early morning and evening. The service is very considerate, from the pick-up at the high-speed rail station to the butler-style service after check-in, every detail makes people feel thoughtful and warm. The room is very spacious and full of design. As soon as you open the window, you can see the scenery of the green mountains and the Li River, which makes people want to stay a little longer. The handsome hotel owner, Mr. Zhong, is particularly attentive and enthusiastic, and has lived a pastoral life that I yearn for. Most of the ingredients in the restaurant are taken from the local area, especially the screw duck feet stew. You will want to eat it again after eating it, and you will want to eat it again after eating it. It is really irresistible. The handmade rice noodles for breakfast are particularly delicious, the afternoon tea is also very exquisite, and the desserts are completely comparable to professional dessert shops. I like this B&B so much! I took the high-speed rail to Yangshuo and stayed there for two days on the weekend. I like to be quiet and not disturbed by fewer people, so I gave up the convenience and bustle of Yangshuo. I am very glad to choose this place! It takes only 2 minutes to walk to the Li River. It is very quiet and there are no tourists. It takes 15 minutes to ride an electric bike to Xingping Ancient Town for dinner. The B&B is very beautiful and the design is very thoughtful. The butler-style service can almost be said to be responsive to every request. Both Mr. Zhong and Potato are very nice. There is a BBQ buffet on weekend nights, which is quite fun. I spent a few days in Yangshuo and had a very satisfying stay at Guanlan. It is only two kilometers away from the Twenty Yuan Scenic Area. My children hate hiking the most, but they happily walked along the Li River to the Nine Horses Painting Mountain. The dogs and cats in the B&B are also very cute. The starry sky, BBQ, bonfire and open-air movie at night are also very atmospheric. It is really quiet at night, and time passed very slowly. I forgot that I had to go back to work.
