The hotel's hygiene was very good and the mosquitoes were very meticulous. Service: There is a butler contact to add WeChat before check-in. Any needs can be communicated in advance. The butler service is very intimate. The hotel is very close to Hongcun and Pingshan, and not far from the town. You can go out to eat local dishes at night. I am not used to staying in private B&Bs, and I think it is good to see this kind of regular star hotel with a good environment. There are not many varieties of breakfast, but the quality is good and not perfunctory. There are no shopping malls in the whole Yi County.

This was a trip that I took my 86 years old mom to travel with me. After a long bullet train ride and shuttle ride, Banyan Tree Huangshan gave us a warm welcome by upgrading our room to a villa. The place is beautifully designed, nested in a valley with traditional Hui style building. Inside the rooms, they have the western style bedroom and bathroom comforts, but the deco is traditional Chinese arts with a modern twist, very elegant, not the tacky hotel chain style but details that fits the surrounding nature beauty. All the rooms and facilities are very clean, and service people are very nice too. We had the front desk clerk Sweet, who updated our stay and a room cleaning lady May Zhang who helped us with our needs. Very thankful to their help! The outside garden design blends in with the surrounding mountains. They even have a petting zoo for visitors young and old. We dined in their Chinese restaurant the first night. The foods were good but I won't say exceptional. For two of us, it was way too much in food quantity for one order. We felt bad to waste food this way. Wish they have had smaller choices. But their breakfast is very impressive. And even though they are very close to Hong Village where the shuttle stops, they did not offer free shuttle which I think they should. I wanted to pack a takeaway, but I was rejected. The waiter said that the hotel stipulates that breakfast does not allow guests to pack take-out, and it is not possible to buy breakfast coupons. They called me before I went, but they didn't tell me that there was road construction in front of the hotel. I couldn't find the hotel after driving over. The wheels of the suitcase itself were broken, so it took me a long time to carry it. Arrive at the hotel. The girl who checked in kept asking for her ID card as soon as she walked in. There were two elderly people in her group who were slower to get their ID cards. She seemed very impatient. I have stayed at this B&B many times and other B&Bs are actually the best in terms of service. The characteristics of the hotel are that it feels like home when you arrive. The waiters and bosses are very enthusiastic, but only when you arrive at Huizi Zizi, his service initiative is still poor. In short, he is cold and indifferent, without any enthusiasm. There was a different waiter the next day and the overall feeling was better. The room service is pretty good. If there is any problem, I will come back and deal with it right away.

We had a lovely stay at Pig’s Inn - it was sadly just for one night but we really enjoyed it! The staff were very kind and went to a lot of effort to cook for us, even though we were the only guests. Breakfast was especially great. The hot water was not really ‘hot hot’ - just tepid, but the staff did everything they could to fix it. The drains from the bathroom smelt pretty bad - but otherwise the bedroom was really comfortable and everything was very clean. The hotel organised a taxi for 200 Y from Huangshan North Railway, which was great. We then used Didi to order taxis and get to Xidi village and Huangshan mountain, which is great if you don’t speak the language. Thank you for having us!
