"We spent twice one night at this hotel during our trip to Huangshan and it was a very good choice. It has a great location right in the centre of the old Hongcun village. The staff was very helpful staff with our luggage. They kept our luggage while we were in Huangshan from a night. The view from our balcony was lovely on the old village."

"This is an awesome elegant place with great location. We travelled from Singapore and booked 3 rooms, and everyone is very happy and impressed with the stay. Need to call (or weixin) in advance to arrange for a buggy transport into the village, helpful if you have heavy luggage! The service staff are friendly and approachable. They are thoughtful in providing tea souvenir when checking out. What mars the great experience was that on my return, realized to my horror that there is no tea in the Tea-box. So, carried a tea metal box across the ocean for nothing! Did not expect such a service slip for such a top-class hotel. Regardless, will still highly recommend this place if you plan to stay in the village."

"The hotel is right by Moon Lake, making its location incredibly convenient. Turn left out of the hotel and you're at the Moon Lake Bookstore; the Wang Ancestral Temple is directly across. It's a short walk to both Nanhu Academy and Chengzhi Hall. On the second-floor terrace of the neighboring Moon Lake Bookstore, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire Moon Lake. Grab a drink and you could easily spend the whole day there. In the evenings, there are even live singers. The hotel itself is a beautifully renovated old house, showcasing classic Huizhou architectural style. The courtyard is delicate and charming. The owner is great; if you contact him in advance, he'll pick you up from the station in an electric cart and also drop you off when you leave. There's no breakfast at the hotel, but a noodle shop to the right offers a pretty rich breakfast spread, though it is a bit pricey. That's just how food and lodging are inside the scenic area."

"The location is excellent, right in the heart of the scenic area. The hotel also provides station pick-up and drop-off, making for a seamless and very convenient experience. Although it was my first time booking a B&B, I was truly impressed. As mentioned in other reviews, the service was outstanding, and responses were prompt. All staff members were incredibly attentive and helpful. The restaurant food was also delicious; I particularly recommend the roasted local pork chop. My only minor suggestion would be for the breakfast to offer a bit more variety. They also provide a thoughtful and considerate laundry service. Our butler even gave us a tour of the B&B's other facilities and courtyard, which was a very pleasant surprise. Just one suggestion: it would be great if the children's policy could be more flexible or accommodating. While our specific issues were resolved smoothly, an initially unaccommodating policy might deter many potential guests."

"Located beside the South Entrance to the village and facing the water-body (see photo of hotel with red banners). Unlike most hotels within the village, this hotel has conserved the architecture of the exterior and interior of the over 300 years old structure. It is well maintained with modern amenities and a nice manicured garden filled with bonsai plants. The Chinese breakfast was simple and nice. The menu has a good range of beverages and the food was good at reasonable prices. The room we stayed was small but cozy. It is within the main building and just outside the room there is a reading lounge. It was quiet and hardly used while we were there. 这不单是很特色的建筑楼房，我们仿佛回到了历史上了！ 小红和小桃为我们的服务特佳，给了我们很温的感觉！"

"We used this as a base to get around different scenic areas. It was close to the west parking lot of Hongcun, where several buses can take you to different places, including the Huangshan Scenic Area. The hotel was tastefully decorated and most distinctively, it had a movie lounge and a tea appreciation area. Make use of the hotel's golf cart service to get to the west parking lot and back. There were afternoon snacks provided and they varied each day. The only downside was probably the lack of shops within a 200m radius."

"Very nice homestay. Neat, clean, aesthetically pleasing and warm service. The temperature dropped when we arrived, so the boss turned on the indoor floor heating in advance, and the house was warm as soon as we entered. The room is not only clean and warm, but also has a Dyson hair dryer, horse oil toiletries, clean and dry bedding, and disposable bathtub covers. Every detail is very well thought out. A very spacious public space is reserved, with a different view at every step. It can be said that this place itself is an aesthetic space, where you can sit here drinking tea and daydreaming for an entire afternoon. It was raining and the temperature dropped, so the boss lit a charcoal stove. It was windy and rainy outside, but people sat around the stove drinking tea and chatting. The value of this was simply off the charts. The food and beverage is also great. The breakfast is rich and delicious, needless to say. We also asked the proprietress to arrange our lunch and dinner here. There are all kinds of specialties and seasonal dishes, which are clean and delicious. Very satisfied with the journey, perfect."

"This stay was absolutely fantastic! The hotel's location is perfect; it's super convenient for both nearby attractions and finding great food. The room was clean and cozy, and the bedding was so comfortable that I fell asleep the moment I hit the pillow. The bathroom was also completely odor-free. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, check-in was lightning fast, and they even thoughtfully recommended some fun places to visit nearby. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, all nutritious and delicious. The value for money is outstanding, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the area!"

"This hotel has an absolutely stunning location with amazing views. It's very close to the main entrance of the scenic area, and right across from the beautiful rice paddies. You can enjoy the view as soon as you open the door. Unlike other hotels tucked away in winding, dark alleys, this hotel is visible from the roadside. The owner is incredibly kind and friendly. They provided free pick-up and drop-off, and even pointed out good spots for us to take photos when we left. I would definitely recommend it to any friends who come here."
