This guesthouse in Hongcun Scenic Area is absolutely wonderful! It has a simple yet elegant courtyard with a strong scholarly ambiance. The owner is incredibly friendly and kind, offering luggage pick-up and drop-off services throughout our stay. They also thoughtfully arranged for us to dine at excellent nearby restaurants for lunch and dinner. Upon checking in, we immediately headed to Wanxing Tower near the guesthouse for stinky mandarin fish and rice with vegetables, which, unfortunately, were quite bland. However, the design of Nanhu Guanyuan itself is very refined and tasteful, and the breakfast spread offers a great variety, perfect for a heartwarming and satisfying start to the day. The guesthouse is exceptionally close to the Nanhu and Yuezao attractions, making it easy to take leisurely strolls in the morning or evening and soak in the beautiful, misty江南 (Jiangnan) scenery. My trip to Hongcun in Anhui was truly delightful, and staying at Nanhu Guanyuan made it even more enjoyable. Plus, the scenic area's parking lot charges a maximum of only twenty yuan for both day and night, which is incredibly good value.

The room matched the pictures perfectly, a great size for families of three or four. The owner's shuttle service was prompt and the guesthouse environment was lovely. A special thanks to the owner for retrieving my child's lost smartwatch from the restaurant – they even rode an electric scooter to get it back for us! 🙏 Hongcun itself is quite commercialized now. Activities like making fish lanterns, sugar figures, tie-dyeing, and bamboo carving offer a good experience for kids, but a one-day stay is generally sufficient. The fish lantern performance isn't on the same level as what you'd see in Chengkan, but the quiet morning in Hongcun is truly beautiful.

Hongcun Wenshe exceeded all my expectations! Its prime location within the scenic area made exploring incredibly convenient. The hotel boasts a large, beautiful garden courtyard, offering an elegant and secluded atmosphere where every step reveals a new charm. The rooms were spotless and well-equipped. The staff were warm, attentive, and provided meticulous service. Being able to stay inside the scenic area meant no hassle of re-entering, allowing us to enjoy the beauty of Hongcun in the peaceful mornings and evenings, away from the crowds. It's perfect for a relaxing, slow-paced vacation! A special shout-out to the shuttle driver – he worked tirelessly, always available for pickups and drops whenever we needed. Highly recommend!

Opted for this large Huizhou-style guesthouse in Hongcun, and it was a great choice. Its location is super convenient, right near the South Gate of Hongcun. As soon as I arrived, someone from the hotel came out to help with my luggage, which was fantastic service. They also helped me get oriented by explaining the hotel's location on a map of Hongcun and pointed out must-see spots. They didn't leave until I was completely settled in. Following their recommendation, I immediately went to see the evening Fish Lantern show and the enchanting Moon Pond scenery.

Although centrally located in Yuetang, this hotel offers a quiet and unique retreat. The decor is lovely, the rooms are very comfortable, and the cleanliness is excellent. Plus, it's very reasonably priced. There are various restaurants nearby, making dining very convenient, and the Wang Family Ancestral Hall is right across the street. The owner is incredibly honest and enthusiastic, even helping with luggage. For anyone visiting Hongcun, staying here is a fantastic choice!

I booked the Hongcun Wanxinglou·Nanhupan Garden Homestay online. It's conveniently located right by the South Lake, near Hongcun's South Gate, making it easy to visit all the core attractions. The room was spacious and tidy, with a separate wet and dry bathroom that had no strange odors. They provided disposable toilet seat covers and decent quality toilet paper, as well as a full set of disposable amenities. The entire homestay has a charming rustic, antique vibe, and the room was very quiet. I was quite satisfied! Due to bad weather forecast for Huangshan the next two days, I canceled my subsequent plans and immediately extended my stay here for another night offline to enjoy a deeper exploration of Hongcun, hehe! The food here is also quite good, and both the owner and staff are very warm and enthusiastic. Recommended!

Tachuan's autumn was made even more beautiful by this guesthouse. I searched on Ctrip for a long time, worried about hygiene issues, but this guesthouse really paid attention to details and was very clean. The moment I opened the door, the automatic welcoming ceremony from 'Xiao Ai' (smart speaker) was very touching. It's right at the entrance of Hongcun and the price is excellent value for money. The proprietress is very kind, and the young man who checked me in, Manager Xiao Wang, was extremely helpful with excellent service. From picking me up at the station to helping me find a car for my travels, he saved me the anxiety and exhaustion of not having a car in Hongcun. The prices were also reasonable. Anyone worried about drivers getting upset in Hongcun can completely entrust their needs to him. At the village entrance, he even used a small electric cart to help with my luggage. There are Hello e-bikes nearby, so you can go to Lucun early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Thank you for providing such a 'utopia' after my busy work. The hygiene was indeed top-notch!

This guesthouse was the highlight of our Huizhou trip! The environment is fantastic, from the courtyard to the rooms, you can tell the owner put a lot of thought into the decor. Before traveling, we can help collect the courier, which solves the trouble of carrying our luggage; we arrived at the entrance of Hongcun Scenic Area late at night and early in the morning. The aunt came to pick us up at the door and took the initiative to help carry heavy luggage, so we didn't have to run by ourselves. The room was clean and tidy, the Huizhou small courtyard was quiet and comfortable, and the aunt also helped to dry the wet clothes. After visiting the scenic spot, she was particularly relaxed. Early on the day of check-out, the store took the initiative to help us transport our luggage to the entrance and exit of the scenic spot. The whole process was warm and thoughtful, and there was a response to everything, and there was no perfunctory. The boss treats people sincerely and gentlely, warm-hearted like family, saving a lot of travel trouble. The service far exceeded the price. The aunt and uncle were really nice. They picked us up at the door. When we left, the uncle took us to the bus station. There was also a big pig and a little dog. They were super cute and fun. I originally planned to stay for one day, but it was so comfortable that I stayed for four days instead of three nights. I love Hongcun so much. I will come here again when I have time for vacation. It is second only to Lijiang. I love the quiet atmosphere. The terrace is great for taking pictures. Watching the sunrise or sunset and the fish lantern parade is really great. It is very lively. Tears welled up in my eyes.
