When visiting Hongcun, I chose this guesthouse, and it was an excellent choice! Its location is superb, right by the Moon Pond, which is a core scenic spot. It's an old house with a lot of historical architectural elements preserved. My room was on the first floor and offered a lovely view of the small courtyard. The young couple who own the place were incredibly attentive. They explained everything clearly, helped with our luggage, and even offered pick-up and drop-off services at the bus station. For seniors, a day of sightseeing here is definitely enough, and we even caught the fish lantern performance in the evening.

Hongcun in the rain is as beautiful as a traditional Chinese ink painting. The guesthouse is right by the picturesque South Gate. The room was clean and comfortable, perfect for a family of four. The owner was enthusiastic about recommending sightseeing routes and even brought us warm white fungus soup. When we left, our next destination was quite far, and the owner kindly recommended a very reliable private car driver. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Hongcun, whether you're driving or taking a taxi.

This hotel inside the hongcun village was great! They helped me with a ride from the entrance and back to the station even when I booked it very last minute the same day. The room was very comfortable, spacious and had all the amenities I needed. The location is amazing, just by the moon pond, very centric to everything inside the village. Definitely recommend this place to stay during your time in hongcun!

The hotel's ambiance is beautiful, like a garden resort. Opening the room door leads to a small courtyard, and it's quite pleasant to relax on the sofa outside—definitely my cup of tea! 👍 Service: They offer a shuttle service from the West Gate parking lot, and they helped carry our large luggage directly to the hotel. The roads in Hongcun Scenic Area are all paved with flagstones, which are difficult to walk on, so the shuttle service was incredibly convenient. Facilities: It's equipped with a smart toilet, and the bed was decent. Souvenirs: We received a glass cup and some tea. The cup seems to be of good quality.

The hotel is located near the South Gate of Hongcun. Since we took a bus from Yixian East to Hongcun West Gate, we had to carry our luggage and enter the scenic area from outside. After contacting the front desk, a service attendant quickly came with a cart to pick us up and help us check in. It's a short walk from the West Gate to the South Gate, which is more suitable for self-driving as it has a parking lot. The hotel has Courtyard 1 and Courtyard 2, and we stayed in Courtyard 2. Our courtyard-view room was excellent; I've included a picture below for reference. I asked the staff, and they mentioned that the tatami rooms are in the old building, while the courtyard-view rooms are newly renovated, so I would definitely recommend the courtyard-view rooms. There's also a communal drying area in the courtyard where you can hang laundry. The rooms have heating, though it wasn't on when we stayed in late February. On rainy days, you'll need to turn on the warm air for sleeping.

This guesthouse is absolutely, incredibly, amazingly wonderful!!!! First, I have to praise the owner. He's such a great guy. He called us beforehand to ask when we'd arrive, then picked us up in his 'sanbengzi' (a three-wheeled vehicle – extra experience points!). He helped us with our luggage. The next day, I wasn't feeling well and just wanted to extend for two hours to rest, but the owner immediately told us not to worry and just to stay as long as we needed. When we left, his aunt helped with our bags, and he arranged a car for us. We were in such a rush that I dropped something, and he even mailed it back to me… In short, the service was exceptional!! ❤️ Next time, I hope to bring my family and stay for a few more days. The environment is also incredibly good! The courtyard is uniquely designed, like a mini classical garden, full of ancient charm. The room was very clean, and there's even a meditation area. I tried to imitate Liu Yifei's meditation pose, and I felt refreshed afterward, haha~ Hongcun is truly beautiful, and the people here are so warm and friendly. It's a shame we were short on time, but I look forward to coming back again!

The food and service at this guesthouse are truly commendable. The local chicken soup at the restaurant was incredibly flavorful and comforting, and the stinky tofu (Chou Gui Yu) was prepared very authentically. Guests also get a nice discount, which is a great perk. The owner is very reliable and helpful; they'll assist with booking transportation, storing luggage, and quickly resolve any issues you might have. Highly recommended!

Hongcun Wanjingfu was the largest, most luxurious, and most satisfying hotel I stayed at during my Anhui Star stay. The rooms were enormous, with a huge courtyard, white walls, black tiles, and ivy—absolutely stunning! We were one of the few guests who brought their own breakfast, and the owner's hospitality was exemplary. Not only did he give us a can of tea, but upon hearing we were going to climb Mount Huangshan, he even found two hiking poles for us. We'll take them to Beijing as souvenirs. Thank you again!

Overnight in Hongcun, half mountain and half water ✔ I booked this hotel while visiting Hongcun. I arrived at the scenic area at 6 PM. The hostess came with a cart to pick up my luggage. The entrance to the B&B is decorated in the Huizhou style. We booked a duplex on a last-minute basis; my friend prefers older buildings. We made do with it for one night. The highlight of this place is the terrace. From the top, you can enjoy the entire Hongcun nightscape. For the price, this hotel is quite good, and I'll also review it on the reviews page.

The old house has a sense of history. It is near the big tree in the scenic area. It is very comfortable and quiet to sleep at night. The proprietress is very kind and gentle and friendly. It is worth recommending 👍
