"The room was antique and had a nice atmosphere. However! The wooden room creaked and groaned with every step, and the soundproofing was terrible! We could hear the neighbors talking, and I was woken up at 5:30 am by the upstairs phone alarm. They probably left their phone on the floor, because the whole room was vibrating and reverberating. The alarm rang several times and for a long time, with children talking loudly in between. It was exhausting…😇 Also, the room window was small, didn't face the sun, and was made of wood. It smelled musty, and there was a lot of dust in the air, so I slept there all night and felt discomfort in my chest and nose. People with allergies should think twice. For this price, besides being visually appealing, it's far worse than a hotel."

"Highly recommend this guesthouse! We stayed for three days and the owner was lovely, the environment was very clean, and the location was super convenient – very close to Nanhu Lake. We passed by Na Yi Jia BBQ which was delicious, and there's also Ah Hong Hotpot and a great lemon tea spot nearby. I honestly think this is the best guesthouse in Hongcun. The owner even provided pick-up and drop-off services, and everyone at the guesthouse was incredibly kind and welcoming. All the food in Hongcun was amazing, not a single bad meal! Truly fantastic! I genuinely recommend this place, and this is an unsolicited positive review."
