"Before coming to Hongcun, I didn't have high expectations, thinking it would just be another old village to visit and leave. However, my stay at 'Hongcun Yike Homestay' made me feel that every detail of this trip radiated warmth. Upon arriving at Hongcun bus station, I was unfamiliar with the area and was stressing about how to drag my luggage across the stone-paved paths to the homestay while looking at a map. The moment I called, the owner's enthusiastic voice immediately put me at ease: 'Wait there, I'll be right over to pick you up!' In less than ten minutes, the owner appeared on an electric scooter, swiftly tied my luggage to the vehicle, and cheerfully motioned for me to hop on. We weaved through Hongcun's winding alleys and past bustling crowds of tourists. The homestay was tucked away in a quiet lane near Moon Pond, an excellent location. You could see Moon Pond just around the corner, yet it was peaceful and quiet – truly an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle. Stepping into the courtyard, I was captivated by this homestay, a renovated Huizhou-style building. The exquisitely carved porch, wooden corridors, and rustic private courtyard exuded the unique elegance and serenity characteristic of Huizhou homes. Inside the room, it was bright and clean. The antique-style wooden bed paired with a soft mattress offered both classic charm and comfort. The night was exceptionally quiet, and I slept soundly. Early the next morning, I opened the window to a beautiful view of the Huizhou-style horse-head walls in the morning light, distant mountains draped in lush greenery, and the nearby sounds of birdsong and fragrant flowers. It truly felt like living inside a traditional Chinese ink wash painting. On the day of my departure, the owner drove me to the bus station as usual, reminding me of other places I hadn't visited in Hongcun along the way. Before saying goodbye, the owner pulled out a packet of chrysanthemum tea from the trunk, handed it to me, and smiled, saying, 'This is our local chrysanthemum tea, take it home and try it.' Holding that packet of tea, my heart felt warm. Staying here truly felt like returning to an old friend's home in Huizhou, thoughtful and considerate in every way. 'Yike Homestay' truly lives up to its name – making one feel 'at ease' (逸) and so content that guests (客) forget to leave. Next time I'm in Hongcun, I'll definitely stay here again."

"I was so lucky to book this B&B by South Lake; it's really popular, I saw it was fully booked on the day I checked in. There's no coffee at breakfast, but the self-service coffee machine in the lobby pretty much solved that. The welcome gift included shaobing (sesame flatbread), tremella soup, and black sesame crisps. The housekeeper auntie provided excellent service! She was always responsive, making it feel just like home. There's also a two-month-old Bichon named 'Kaixin' (Happy) at the property, and she's super well-behaved."

"I booked the Hongcun Wanxinglou·Nanhupan Garden Homestay online. It's conveniently located right by the South Lake, near Hongcun's South Gate, making it easy to visit all the core attractions. The room was spacious and tidy, with a separate wet and dry bathroom that had no strange odors. They provided disposable toilet seat covers and decent quality toilet paper, as well as a full set of disposable amenities. The entire homestay has a charming rustic, antique vibe, and the room was very quiet. I was quite satisfied! Due to bad weather forecast for Huangshan the next two days, I canceled my subsequent plans and immediately extended my stay here for another night offline to enjoy a deeper exploration of Hongcun, hehe! The food here is also quite good, and both the owner and staff are very warm and enthusiastic. Recommended!"

"I absolutely love this hotel! It's right on the edge of Hongcun village, just a few minutes' walk away. I'm especially fond of the hotel's decor – it's elegant and stylish. The hotel boasts a very spacious lounge area, perfect for enjoying tea and conversation. It's incredibly comfortable for relaxing, and they even offer complimentary tea, snacks, and sweet potatoes. There are also two adorable cats roaming around! Breakfast is served on the hotel's top floor, which offers breathtaking views, including the morning mist over the mountains. All the staff are very friendly and polite. I originally booked for just one night, but I loved it so much that I immediately extended my stay for another night. Highly recommend!"

"This guesthouse is a must-stay when visiting Hongcun to see the Huizhou-style architecture. Its location is absolutely superb, within walking distance of all the popular photo spots, making it super easy to plan your sightseeing. The courtyard is elegant and spotless, and the guest rooms are even cleaner and tidier. The attention to detail in cleanliness is truly impressive; there's no clutter or stains anywhere. It's an old house conversion that beautifully preserves its ancient charm while maintaining excellent living standards. My stay here was a perfect experience!"

"I was free, and finally had time to talk about my favorite place in this trip. I thought that Yuanyuan was an ordinary homestay, but I didn't expect surprises everywhere. The boss is very artistic, arranged with special care, and very enthusiastic, and took the initiative to help us guide the vehicle to the parking lot. The grandmother I met in the hotel was also very kind and would ask us if it was cold or not, which made people feel particularly warm. The rooms are fully equipped, and there are all mid-to-high-end hotels. They are clean, tidy and hygienic, and they are particularly safe to live. The boss is also very warm and friendly, kind and measured, maintaining a sense of distance. I really recommend everyone to experience it. The children returned to the room and kept talking about the uncle of the hotel. They wanted to go to him to play, not afraid at all. The details are full and the experience is great!"

"It's quite close to Hongcun, and there's a small path through the village. The guesthouse has beautiful rose bushes planted behind it. The room was clean and odor-free, and there's an elevator. The only downside is that there was only one mahjong table room and we couldn't reserve it. Parking is available right outside the guesthouse."

The tickets are valid for 3 days, meaning a family of two adults and two children staying here can enjoy free entry to the scenic area. Facilities: The hotel boasts excellent facilities. The bathroom amenities and bedding are of good quality, and the decor has a charming traditional aesthetic. The complimentary items provided, such as the peach wood comb, toiletries, towels, and cotton-linen slippers, are all of high quality. It feels like you're bringing home a lot of lovely souvenirs after just one stay! Service: The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming, always greeting guests with a smile and patiently resolving any issues. Breakfast is quite generous, and in the evenings, they even provide complimentary chilled mung bean soup and Bingfen (a local dessert) when you return to your room. Environment: The hotel is nestled amidst ancient architecture and traditional gardens. Staying here allows you to truly appreciate the distinctive black tiles, white walls, and blue bricks of Huizhou's ancient buildings. I only wish I could have stayed for a few more days!"

"After descending Huangshan, I came to Hongcun to stay for one night. The proprietress contacted me in advance to inquire about the situation and helped me to arrange a carpooling. The driver said that this homestay is pretty good in this area. After checking in, I was not disappointed. The boss helped me carry my luggage into the room. The room was clean and bright, with welcome fruits and snacks. The toilet had a flush function, the toiletries were complete, the bedding was comfortable, and there was a bathrobe. The slippers are super thick, the same thickness as the ones I stayed in at a five-star resort hotel before! This is so thoughtful😊This time I specially booked a room with a bathtub. The price is very cost-effective with a bathtub. Taking a bath can effectively relieve fatigue. My boss heated up breakfast for me in the morning, which was light and nutritious. After I packed up and checked out, the boss sent me to the entrance of the scenic area. When I finished, I contacted the boss's wife and she brought my luggage to me and then took me to the bus station. The experience of staying here was very good. It can be seen that the boss and his wife run this homestay very carefully. If I have the opportunity to come here again in the future, I will choose your homestay. "This guesthouse is absolutely, incredibly, amazingly wonderful!!!! First, I have to praise the owner. He's such a great guy. He called us beforehand to ask when we'd arrive, then picked us up in his 'sanbengzi' (a three-wheeled vehicle – extra experience points!). He helped us with our luggage. The next day, I wasn't feeling well and just wanted to extend for two hours to rest, but the owner immediately told us not to worry and just to stay as long as we needed. When we left, his aunt helped with our bags, and he arranged a car for us. We were in such a rush that I dropped something, and he even mailed it back to me… In short, the service was exceptional!! ❤️ Next time, I hope to bring my family and stay for a few more days. The environment is also incredibly good! The courtyard is uniquely designed, like a mini classical garden, full of ancient charm. The room was very clean, and there's even a meditation area. I tried to imitate Liu Yifei's meditation pose, and I felt refreshed afterward, haha~ Hongcun is truly beautiful, and the people here are so warm and friendly. It's a shame we were short on time, but I look forward to coming back again!"
