I stayed at this homestay last night and was instantly captivated! I have to rave about it from four aspects: cleanliness, environment, service, and facilities.
🌟 Cleanliness: A ”sense of peace” that detail-oriented people will adore
The room was like it had been blessed with a ”cleanliness magic”! The bedding was fluffy and soft, changed after each guest, and there wasn't a single wrinkle in the pillowcase seams; the bathroom tiles were so shiny you could see your reflection, the drain was dry and odorless, and even the window sills and table edges were polished to a shine—the main theme is ”no dirt in sight, no peace of mind.”
🌿 Environment: Bringing the ”Poetic Hongcun” into your life
The homestay is nestled amidst the mountains and waters of Tachuan, and opening the window reveals layers of verdant autumn colors (perfect for the season!). Waking up to birdsong in the morning, watching the sunset paint the white walls and black tiles in the evening, even the air is filled with the fragrance of grass and trees~
The guesthouse itself is in the Huizhou style, with banana trees and bamboo in the courtyard, stone paths adorned with bamboo lanterns. Sitting down for a cup of tea, you feel as if you've stepped into an ancient painting, all your restlessness melting away in this tranquility~
🤵 Service: A heartwarming feeling of ”being at home”
The receptionist's smile is like the warm autumn sun! During check-in, she not only explained in detail the hidden gems of the guesthouse (such as the best time to stargaze from the terrace), but also thoughtfully gave me a hand-drawn ”Hongcun Food Map”~
Wanting some hot water in the middle of the night, I rang the bell and it was brought to me instantly, with an extra blanket and the question, ”Are you cold?”—these details of ”treating guests like family” truly touch the heart!
🛋️ Facilities: A Comforter's Paradise
The bed in the room was just the right firmness; lying on it felt like sinking into a cloud, and I slept soundly until dawn (a dream come true for night owls!). The air conditioning, water heater, and Wi-Fi were all rock solid, so there was no worry about power outages or internet disruptions.
The common areas were also a big plus! The tea room had an old elm wood tea table, and the book bar was filled with local cultural books. Even just relaxing or flipping through a book made for a truly relaxing vacation.
I was so satisfied with my stay! I've already added this guesthouse to my ”must-visit” list and recommended it to friends planning a trip to Hongcun. ”You won't understand until you've stayed here; it truly means 'living amidst the scenery and enjoying it to your very core'!” ✨

GGuest UserFor me, the whole trip has no shortcomings except that it is a bit far. It takes four hours one way from Wuxi by high-speed rail and self-driving, but the scenery along the way makes it worth the four hours. Especially the small road approaching the hotel, the endless green rice fields, all the bad mood caused by busy work is wiped away. We walked this trail back and forth seven or eight times, and there was a different scenery at every turn. The design of the hotel reception desk and library is also my favorite style. The rooms are simple and elegant, and the view facing the floor-to-ceiling windows is unsatisfactory. Because it is an old house, the room area is slightly smaller, but the planning is reasonable. The hotel staff are very enthusiastic (just right) and I hope I have the chance to go there again.

PPhilip QLocated beside the South Entrance to the village and facing the water-body (see photo of hotel with red banners). Unlike most hotels within the village, this hotel has conserved the architecture of the exterior and interior of the over 300 years old structure. It is well maintained with modern amenities and a nice manicured garden filled with bonsai plants. The Chinese breakfast was simple and nice. The menu has a good range of beverages and the food was good at reasonable prices.
The room we stayed was small but cozy. It is within the main building and just outside the room there is a reading lounge. It was quiet and hardly used while we were there.

GGuest UserI originally reserved a room for one day, but the boss was so kind and the courtyard was so beautiful. I stayed here for 4 consecutive days and I couldn't bear to leave. You can sing, eat, and fish in the small courtyard. There is a large area of rice at the door. The misty mountain is especially fairy. The surrounding area is very quiet. When you enter the village, there is a long and beautiful road with flowers, rice fields and mountain bosses on both sides. There are bicycles that you can borrow to ride and take pictures. It is really beautiful. The boss is really caring. The room is very comfortable and the facilities are complete. The bed is very comfortable and the toiletries are very good. Because it was raining and the clothes were not dry, the boss even took the dryer specially. There is also a toilet mat for babies in the room, which is very suitable for bringing children to play. The meals cooked by the aunt are also delicious, and the boss also gave the children fruits to eat and special products when they left. Knowing that we were going to Jingdezhen, the boss asked a friend to help us book a discounted hotel. When we left, he sent us to the car like a friend from afar. Mom and Dad also lived very comfortably and made friends with the boss and mom. They insisted that I stay for a few days when I came back from Jingdezhen, and I would take the children on vacation when I have time. My mother told me to write more good reviews 😄😄

Before staying at the hotel, the housekeeper will come in advance and add WeChat to set up a WeChat service group, inform the location, and come to greet you. When delivering, he also gave you a souvenir handmade in the store. The children and elders all enjoyed their stay. We could see the starry sky in our room at night. The children were very surprised and kept asking if they could continue to stay here tomorrow? ! The room is consistent with the picture of the reservation. The special mountain spring water and welcome dinner in the store are very considerate. The breakfast is also 10 kinds of which are very balanced and rich. The welcome dog Wangzai is very cute. FFitStarBeautiful location and excellent service from reception (manager gave us a free upgrade to the best room on the property!) to arranging everything to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The Deputy manager Felix was most helpful, he speaks English and we also received a thoughtful parting gift of local tea. The food at Bai Yun and Ming Yue restaurants were excellent! The buffet breakfast quality and choice was top notch. We wished we stayed longer than one night! We stayed here after two nights at Huangshan Summit so the in the room wooden bath soaks was a dream. Room was very clean and spacious. Truly 5-star!

11364114****I saw this hotel on Xiaohongshu and was really drawn to its unique design and decor. Even though the room rates were high for New Year's Day, I still chose it, thinking a hotel at this price point must be excellent. Who knew, as soon as I entered the lobby, I was freezing and almost couldn't take it. How can such a large hotel in this bitter cold winter be so stingy with the heating? I asked the staff why the AC wasn't on, and their explanation was, ”It's too big, it won't get warm.” I had a million *&#% thoughts running through my head – what are you even talking about? We've stayed in plenty of big hotels; yours is at best a large guesthouse. How can it compare to a real hotel? Others can heat up their large spaces, but you can't?? Clearly, you just want to save electricity. What's even more ridiculous is that once I got to the room, the underfloor heating and AC hadn't been turned on in advance; they only started them when I arrived. When I asked why they weren't on beforehand, they said they forgot. (If you don't want to freeze to death in Huangshan, choose a warmer hotel.)
Finally, let's talk about breakfast. For a hotel at this price, the breakfast isn't even as good as an Atour. My child didn't want to eat anything; the food was very mediocre and poor quality. Seriously, avoid at all costs!!!!!!!!!

GGuest UserThe quaint building has largely retained its original appearance. The owner says it dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is so clean that children can walk barefoot on the grounds. Staying here brings a sense of peace and relaxation, a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, letting go of obsessions and truly embodying the value of travel. The owner is a man of few words, but concise and to the point. He recommends dinner with some excellent Anhui cuisine and recommends minimizing shopping; the purpose of a trip is to relax. The B&B is close to Yuezhao Lake, making it convenient to everything. It's a quiet retreat amidst the hustle and bustle, and I had a very comfortable night's sleep. There's a breakfast shop in the south building of the B&B called Taitai Hao Zhou (Tai Tai Hao Zhou), which is clean and hygienic.

Service: We came from Huangshan Scenic Area, so we called the boss in advance. The boss helped me arrange a carpool, thirty-one people, and the car was delivered to the Ximen parking lot. After arriving, the boss arranged for a boy to ride a sightseeing car to pick us up. Let's go When the time came, the little brother also sent us to the carpooling point, and the service was perfect.

GGuest UserThis accommodation experience was superb. The hotel bedding was very comfortable, made of cotton and linen. The Xiaoai classmate in the room was very convenient. Christmas was coming soon, and the hotel entrance also had a large and beautiful Christmas tree. There were also special singing bowls for sleep therapy. The teacher was very professional and I fell asleep in a short while. It was very comfortable. I lamented that I didn’t get enough sleep because the time was too short. The teacher also answered my question while drinking tea. Falling asleep for the first time showed that the effect was great and my own energy was high.
