We felt incredibly fortunate to stay at Danyuan Boutique Inn. The host was very welcoming and took extra care with everything. We had great conversations, and even though we had to use translation apps, we felt like friends after just one day. His wife cooked a wonderful dinner and breakfast for us of local cuisine - it was a unique and authentic experience. This was our favourite place to stay throughout our extensive travel through China! I strongly recommend to everyone: Chinese and international travellers. Thank you!

Amazing place - modern room and amenities inside an ancient home. Clean and comfy beds, renovated, gleaming bathroom. Owner and staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating; don’t hesitate to ask them for help getting around the area (including to Huangshan and to train stations) and seeing the sights. Also don’t miss out on their restaurant, located in the back of their main office — great environment, delicious food. Overall, highly recommend; would return!

Location: The hotel is situated within the Xidi Scenic Area. Upon check-in, each room receives two complimentary adult tickets to Xidi, with each adult ticket allowing one child to enter for free. The tickets are valid for 3 days, meaning a family of two adults and two children staying here can enjoy free entry to the scenic area. Facilities: The hotel boasts excellent facilities. The bathroom amenities and bedding are of good quality, and the decor has a charming traditional aesthetic. The complimentary items provided, such as the peach wood comb, toiletries, towels, and cotton-linen slippers, are all of high quality. It feels like you're bringing home a lot of lovely souvenirs after just one stay! Service: The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming, always greeting guests with a smile and patiently resolving any issues. Breakfast is quite generous, and in the evenings, they even provide complimentary chilled mung bean soup and Bingfen (a local dessert) when you return to your room. Environment: The hotel is nestled amidst ancient architecture and traditional gardens. Staying here allows you to truly appreciate the distinctive black tiles, white walls, and blue bricks of Huizhou's ancient buildings. I only wish I could have stayed for a few more days!

Years ago, I had a bad experience staying at a B&B, but my stay at Xidi Wulu Homestay last night completely changed my negative impression. According to the proprietress, all the rooms here are from her family's ancestral home, which is over two hundred years old. It perfectly blends the rustic charm of Huizhou architecture with modern conveniences, creating a warm, comfortable, yet stylish and elegant atmosphere. The proprietress was incredibly warm and attentive, and her sour bamboo shoot noodle soup was absolutely amazing. Before we left, she even gave us a souvenir – talk about excellent hospitality! I will definitely be back next time!

After looking at many guesthouses in Xidi, I finally chose this hidden gem that embodies tea culture. The owners added us on WeChat beforehand and picked us up at the village entrance – so thoughtful and considerate! The owners, a kind couple, have adopted four adorable cats and a dog. The guesthouse is a century-old Hui-style building, with rooms modified to suit modern living habits, offering both traditional charm and a comfortable experience. The owners love and understand tea; even though we returned late from a Xidi night tour, we were still treated to delicious tea – thank you! They have a tea garden, and we bought three kinds of locally grown tea to take home and enjoy slowly; the Dafang tea was truly wonderful! The guesthouse is beautiful; even in early March, there were still many beautiful flowers, showcasing the tranquility and beauty of rural life. A good night's sleep, grateful for the encounter! 👍🫶

I'd give this guesthouse a perfect 100! If you're visiting Xidi, Mobai Inn is an absolute must-stay. It's incredibly close to the scenic area entrance. I checked in on Saturday, and there was a 'Bench Dragon' parade in the evening that started right at the archway entrance, making the location exceptionally convenient. I stayed in the 'Rainbow' room. It smelled lovely as soon as I walked in, and the owner had thoughtfully turned on the air conditioning for us beforehand. The room featured a large window with a beautiful view of the lake. I didn't take any photos of the interior, but rest assured, it was impeccably clean. The toiletries were of excellent quality – seriously, the toothbrush was so good I actually took it home, haha! Besides hand soap, they also provided a bottle of lotion, which was an absolute lifesaver for me as my arms were peeling from a recent sunburn after a beach trip! The guesthouse itself is very new and tastefully decorated, with photo opportunities at every turn! The rooftop, in particular, is a must-visit for photos. They even have a selfie stick thoughtfully provided by the owner – talk about knowing your guests! At sunset, you can capture breathtaking shots of the village during golden hour. It's truly beautiful! In the early morning, you can also head up there to enjoy the fresh air and take in the views of the mountains and lotus pond. Highly recommended!

I couldn’t say enough about how good my stay in Xidi was. The hostel has such a special atmosphere that you can’t help but relax. It’s just a few minutes’ walk from the center of town, and the girls from the staff are so nice and attentive. I didn’t want to leave! Besides the lovely place where the hostel is located, the touristic part of Xidi is just amazing—it feels like the whole area is one huge artwork - just go and see it for yourself! Notes: The place isn’t difficult to find if you have a map on your phone, but be careful with the ditches if you arrive at night: although they’re illuminated, they have no railings. The 10-bed room doesn’t have a toilet, only a latrine. Every tourist must pay a fee of 52 yuan to enter the town, regardless of where they are staying.

Facilities: The in-room facilities are all brand new and kept very clean and tidy. The owner maintains the courtyard beautifully. Hygiene: Someone cleans and disinfects the rooms every day, which made me feel completely at ease during my stay. Environment: When I first booked, I was quite concerned about false advertising – perhaps the environment wouldn't be good or the photos wouldn't match reality – so I only booked one night. However, upon arrival, I was wonderfully surprised! I immediately decided to extend my stay for a second night! It's a shame my travel plans were tight and I could only stay two nights; I truly wished I could have stayed longer! It's incredibly comfortable, and I hope to come back for a few days every year if I get the chance! Service: The B&B is run by the owner couple themselves, creating a very comfortable and homely atmosphere. After parking at lot #7, the owner will come pick you up in a shuttle. They also have a quiet dog named 'Laifu'~~ The owner likely cooks as well, but unfortunately, I didn't get to try their food this time! I definitely want to taste their cooking on my next visit! I forgot to take photos of the B&B 📷~~ So I can only post some pictures of Xidi Ancient Village, but staying here was truly wonderful~~

The boss is very friendly. When he saw that there were elderly people staying, he specially adjusted the rooms on the first floor. The location of the B&B is very good. You can park your car directly. You can walk directly to the village from the backyard. The B&B has a large yard. The weather is good in the yard. It would be nice to drink tea there, it is recommended to stay here.
