Kaike Yugetsu

The room was very clean and offered a beautiful, uninterrupted sea view from the window. There are also plenty of coffee shops and restaurants nearby, making it very convenient overall.

The hotel boasts stunning views. Our room on the 4th floor had excellent air conditioning. There are only a couple of hot springs, one outdoor and one indoor, but it felt sufficient as there weren't many people. There are two hotels here, Shougetsu and Yuugetsu, with Yuugetsu being slightly newer. A taxi from Yonago Station to the hotel costs around 2500 yen, which is acceptable. Taking the bus isn't very convenient. Overall, everything was great, perfect for a vacation. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Facilities: The terrace has a large bathtub, and it's part of the same hotel group as Songyue next door. Hygiene: Very clean, I really liked it. Environment: A hot spring hotel near the sea, with a large bathtub inside the room and an infinity onsen on the upper floor! The facilities are great and very comfortable.

Facilities: The hotel has all the standard amenities, including an outdoor private onsen, and the room is very spacious with a sea view. The large outdoor bath also offers a breathtaking sea view, providing a truly refreshing experience. Don't miss out on the delicious Oyama milk from the vending machine. Hygiene: The indoor areas are clean. Since there are many insects in summer, just remember to close the outdoor door promptly, and you'll be fine. Environment: Located in Kaike Onsen village, it's a seaside hot spring with a white sand beach below. The sea water is clean, perfect for swimming, and kids can enjoy digging in the sand. Service: The staff were incredibly thoughtful. As soon as they saw us from afar, they proactively ran over to greet us and helped with our luggage. On our departure day, they even arranged a car to take us to the station, despite it being only a 3-minute drive. They insisted on providing a dedicated car according to our schedule to protect us from the summer sun, which was very heartwarming. The welcome afternoon tea in the lobby offered a variety of drinks. The breakfast and dinner truly deserve special praise. We booked a half-board plan, and the dinner was exquisite and delicious, featuring seasonal seafood like oysters and three different doneness levels of steak, all incredibly tasty. We enjoyed our meal while watching the sunset. Breakfast was amazing, a buffet with both Japanese and Western options, an incredible variety. There were so many desserts and ice creams that we couldn't even try them all, and everything tasted excellent. They even provided small trolleys to help us carry our food, which is a rare thoughtful touch I've encountered in the many onsen hotels I've stayed at.

The hotels around here are mostly hot spring resorts, but Yuzuki seems to have a newer design and style. There was also a Chinese-speaking staff member at check-in. It's also the closest to the coastline, so you can take a walk by the sea in the evening. Since I was traveling with my child, I booked a room with a small private bath on the balcony. There's quite a difference between the in-room experience and a full private onsen. The tub was small and open-air, allowing you to enjoy the sunset views over the coastline while soaking. However, it was raining when I went, so the sky was gloomy and there wasn't much of a view. I also booked two breakfasts, which were buffet style and quite plentiful. But my friend, unable to get a room at Yuzuki, booked a traditional Japanese onsen hotel next door, and their room rate actually included both breakfast and dinner, which is fantastic value for money. That made me a little envious.

The room was quite spacious, and being a sea-view room, the curtains offered no blackout at all. It was incredibly quiet though, and very close to a convenience store. The hotel breakfast was a bit mediocre, but everything else was fine. However, I felt the price was a bit steep.
