Minster's Reach York City Centre Apartments

Lovely apartment close to the centre of York and close to pubs and restaurants. The bed was really comfortable. Everything we needed in the kitchen. Very modern and a very warm apartment. We travelled to York for the Christmas Markets and they were in easy walking distance. Would definately stay here again

Would absolutely come here again, the flat was spotless, the location was fantastic, a 2 minute walk you can be at the minster, and the big selling point for me was the security of the apartment. We stayed on the ground floor flat which had a private patio area which was great for night time in summer. If I had to improve one thing it would be maybe air conditioning or some type of cooling. In mid summer the place does get hot.

I was in York for just over a week for a research trip and stayed in Flat 1 at Minster's Reach. I had not anticipated the lovely hidden garden in which the flats are situated. It was just such a calming pleasure to come back at night to such a lovely setting. The flat itself was charming and comfortable: well appointed with all new fixtures. And I appreciated the little patio on the warmer days. The apartments are very conveniently located. I walked most everywhere. Just perfect. One recommendation for your otherwise well-put-together information book: the procedure to lock the door behind you (or inside at night) -- where the door handle is raised all the way up, allowing one to turn the key and lock the door -- was new to me. Perhaps that's because I'm an American and it could be a more common way to lock a door for UK/Continental guests. The person who answered my somewhat frantic telephone call was very patient and talked me through it. But, it would be handy for folks like me to have instructions in your book. That was the first place I went in search of an answer. Otherwise -- my stay could not have been better. I definitely recommend Minster's Reach.

We stayed for three nights, two adults and two children (aged 7&5) and would highly recommend this apartment. Nicely furnished and decorated, my son said it was the comfiest bed ever! The location is fantastic, just a minutes walk from the city walls and as promised in east reach of the Minster. We walked everywhere we needed to go with no issues. You do need to pay for the car park (not mentioned until after I’d booked) but it was worth it for the location. Would definitely book again if returning to York.

I shall definitely keep this short and sweet, we decided to go back up to our favourite place in the UK; we always use York boutiquelets, time and time again they don’t disappoint (as usual) with minsters reach apartment. It is deceptively big on the inside and is within walking distance of the wall and centre, even factoring in the cost of the car park you have to use, it is definitely worth it. It’s a quiet area and really quite a lovely stay. We are still looking for a similar place to buy up there, it’s that lovely! A+ will use again!

I have been several times to Minster’s Reach and had no complaints until now. It is well situated and well equipped but this time there were problems with the central heating which took an unnecessarily long time to put right. Also we got the impression that not all the bedding had been changed as there were stains on some of it. We were offered 20% off our next booking which we will not be taking up as we sadly feel unable to return.
