The Milner York ★★★★
"The Milner York features a grand late-Victorian facade built from distinctive yellow Scarborough brick. Inside, the stunning entrance lobby showcases an ornate historical dome and elegant monochrome tiled flooring. The hotel's crown jewel is a sweeping, central iron staircase surrounded by high ceilings. Public lounges beautifully blend historic opulence with plush chesterfield sofas and herringbone wood floors. However, multiple guests note that the contemporary bedrooms are noticeably smaller in size. This compact room layout is especially apparent within the modern "Sidings" annexe."
Astor York Hostel ★★
"Friendly and welcoming. We felt comfortable and had all we needed. Would recommend."
The Queens Hotel & Victoria Cloisters Apartments ★★★
"The hotel boasts a nice riverside view, but the facilities are quite old, and the lack of air conditioning in the room made for an uncomfortable stay. Breakfast requires a reservation, and unfortunately, the 7-9 AM slots weren't available for booking, which made dining inconvenient. Overall, the experience was just okay. There's no dedicated luggage storage room; bags are just left next to the front desk, posing a risk of loss."
Holiday Inn YORK by IHG ★★★★
"Found walnuts under the mattress near the edge, glad I don’t have a nut allergy or a family staying in that room with a toddler who has allergies. Could’ve ended up pretty serious if a small child had eaten a nut."
Hampton by Hilton York Piccadilly ★★★
"A solid hotel, comparable to Hampton Inn hotels back home. There are two Hampton Inns in York, so when driving, it's best to enter the postcode for navigation. Don't just type the brand name. If you use the hotel name, make sure to add the location. We went to the wrong one initially and had to drive for another 5 minutes to get to the correct one. The hotel's location is excellent. About 100 meters to the left when you exit, there's a Tesco Express, which is very affordable. On the ground floor outside the hotel, there's a surprisingly open, semi-enclosed glass baggage lift that can take large luggage up to the lobby. The rooms are spacious, and the bathroom has the standard Hampton Inn setup. The room is functional, similar to its counterparts in China, though it lacks the complimentary self-service laundry facilities typically found in equivalent hotels there. Breakfast is a self-service buffet included in the room rate. It's a British-style buffet with eggs, sausages, ham, grilled tomatoes, baked beans, various breads, toaster breads, four types of stewed fruit, fresh apples. On weekends, bananas are also available. There's coffee, fresh milk, yogurt, nuts, cereals, and portable packaged fiber biscuits. My friends were very happy with the food."
Malmaison York ★★★★
Industrial-style rooms blend comfort with city views, featuring a heated massage pool, private saunas, and a rooftop restaurant, ideally located near York Minster, Shambles, and York Station.
Diamonds Lodge Near York Hospital ★★★★
"Quiet lodge near York city center. Good bus service right outside the door. But also only a 25-minute walk from the city center. The room is simple and the bathroom a bit small, but meets all expectations."
Hotel du Vin & Bistro York ★★★★
"We had a Fantastic Stay at the Du Vin York We Loved trivago Website Will Certainly use again The Only Downside to the Hotel was the Price of Drinks From Hotel Bar & Very Lacking of Staff to Serve you .. On Both Occassions we had to Go Find a Bar Person .. Which is Bad ! We Walked away on 3rd attempt to have Drinks"
Roomzzz York City ★★★★
"Check in good, car park well lit and maintained. The team of female receptionists helpful and pleasant throughout our stay. Cleanliness throughout excellent but maintenance seems to have regressed from our previous visit. Cold tap by coffee machine o/o/o and paint missing around door architrave in bathroom (233)"

The Parsonage Hotel & Spa
"Had a lovely two night stay at The Parsonage Hotel. Certain areas of the hotel could do with a ‘lick of paint’. The food at the Fat Abbot was really good. The pool an added bonus. Bus stop outside to York centre."
Mercure York Fairfield Manor Hotel
"Great value room in a lovely rural location, reasonably close to York. Receptionist was friendly and helpful. I had a good quiet night’s sleep. Evening meal in the restaurant was fine, but a bit overpriced for what it was and service in the restaurant was friendly but slow. I would definitely stay again though if I was in the area."
Holiday Inn Express YORK by IHG
"The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There were plenty of breakfast options. The free parking was a big plus. Right next door is the Toby Carvery Hopgrove chain restaurant, where dinner costs around £10."
ibis Styles York Centre
"The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, allowing us to check in early. The room was quite spacious, very clean, and beautifully decorated. Hotel security was excellent, and the facilities were complete, including air conditioning and a small bedside lamp for reading. The hotel's location is convenient, close to the train station, some historical sites, supermarkets, and restaurants."
Radisson Hotel York
