Great
GGuest UserVery elegant old-style villa, the breakfast is very rich and delicious, the stay is also very comfortable, and the cost performance is super high! York is very quiet, and the people I met along the way are very friendly. I couldn't swipe my card in the public toilet on Butcher Street, but a local brother saw that I swiped his card and let me in. Thank you for being such a good person! This time I traveled by myself, my English was terrible, but the experience was actually quite good, haha, I recommend everyone to stay and play~
LLauren MintoWe had the most gorgeous stay at No.1 Guest House - if there wasn’t so much to see and do in York we would have happily just stayed in and enjoyed the hotel all weekend. The staff were amazing, especially Ellie, who made us feel so welcome and couldn’t do enough for us. We loved just sitting in the bar area with a cocktail (the rosy margarita was amazing) and looking at all the art and the cute steam train. The hotel is sooo cosy and perfect for this time of year. We will definitely be back!
XXiaogoumengmengExceeded my expectations, the room was really new and quite spacious. The service was also great; I made a last-minute decision to extend my stay by a day and needed to switch rooms. The front desk arranged for staff to help me move my luggage. This is definitely a place I'd choose again next time. There's a Chinese restaurant downstairs, and it's only about a 7-8 minute walk to the Butcher's Quarter.
BBonniegiftYork is a small historical city, this hotel inherits the city culture. British-style separate yard, tall black gate. Friendly uncle-level reception. The hotel is a bit old, the maintenance is very good, the room has a kettle, the necessary toiletries, the shower open in a variety of ways, and the small snacks are also prepared. Health is OK, the quality of the bed is also good. In short, it is a good experience
YYouyujunjunziThe hotel is a converted old villa, a very British manor house. It has a large golf course and many wild ducks, squirrels, and birds of unknown species. The hotel rooms are large and comfortable, and the breakfast is à la carte with a wide variety of options.
GGuest UserI've stayed at this hotel before and I will definitely be staying again. The location is ideal for me with easy access to the city centre either by walking, bus, or taxi. The rooms have always been very clean and a good size too. The buffet style breakfast is always superb and leisure facilities give you a chance to unwind in the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room.
The staff have always been pleasant, friendly, and polite.
5 stars from me!
YYeziA small villa, the room is clean and tidy, very warm and quiet, the service is very good and warm, we live on the 3rd floor, there is no elevator, the suitcase is the store to help get the room, parking is also convenient. The environment of Zhou is good, and it is convenient to travel. It takes 20 minutes to walk along the river to see the tourist attractions in the downtown area. Only breakfast is very expensive. Two nights a day is a pleasant experience.
CchristanneWe booked a standard double as we only wanted somewhere to have dinner and lay our heads to break 2 long journeys. We were prepared for a 'tired' looking room and it was, in fact just that. HOWEVER, both the room and bathroom were spotless; the bed absolutely huge with nice linens and the shower in the morning was spot on for temperature. Service from beginning to end was fantastic and, though I didn't have it myself, my husband said the breakfast was excellent. We travel both locally and internationally a lot and i rarely comment as many 4-5* hotels just go through the motions however, I wanted to give this hotel and team a well deserved shout out. We shall certainly be back and recommend to anyone looking for a very good place to stay on the outskirts of York.
SSammy4630Lovely staff, amazing location and the hotel itself is great. The rooms are minimalist, the “wardrobe” is 3 hooks on a wall and there is no drawer space to put undies or folded items, so they had to stay in my case. The room was clean but the bathroom needed a deep clean. There was music on Friday and Saturday night which can be heard, so if you don’t like music and want quiet this isn’t the one. To charge £3.50 for a can of Pepsi is far too much even with the sugar tax, a litre bottle doesn’t cost that much.
