The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the train station. You can reach many attractions within about 10 minutes on foot. The rooms are clean, and there's a bar and foosball table in the lobby. Overall, a good experience.

Located within a golf course, the hotel boasts a tranquil, peaceful, and comfortable environment with beautiful scenery. However, it's quite far from the city center, about a 30-minute drive from York's Old Town. If you're not traveling by car, it's not the best choice for accommodation. But if you have a car, it's an excellent option as parking is free. The hotel has two restaurants with good food, but they are very expensive and the portions are small – typical fine dining. If you don't want to spend too much on food, it's best to eat in the city before entering the hotel.

The hotel has a great location, not far from the city center and attractions. The front desk service was mediocre. We checked out early, but then received an email asking us to self-checkout, which was confusing. A small amount of our deposit was deducted, but we didn't receive any receipt explaining why. Perhaps the snacks on the table were chargeable, but there was no clear pricing displayed. Overall, the stay was average, and the service definitely wasn't worth nearly £200 a night.

This hotel really exceeded expectations! The rooms are clean and tidy, warmly furnished, well-equipped, and very comfortable to live in. The service staff is very warm and thoughtful, and the details are handled well, making people feel at home. The location is also very convenient, it is very convenient to eat, drink and play around. The overall experience is very satisfactory, I will choose to stay here next time!

Great hotel, close to the centre of town. Downside, it’s very noisy. Apartments in the next block over shouting / screaming at the top of their voices late at night. Doors slam in rooms so everyone gets woken up when people go in / out. Breakfast was poor. No fresh food put out the whole time I was there and nothing topped up even. No jam for toast!! £17.99 for a spaghetti bolognaise was also steep but, more tasty than the breakfast.

A hotel that helps a colleague make a mistake. This family was good in all aspects of the evaluation and chose this family. The hotel's been making good comments. Nice position, too! Good recommendation!

Overall, I wouldn't really recommend it. The location is okay, just outside the city walls. However, all the rooms are in the attic, requiring two flights of very narrow stairs, making it impossible to bring up even a slightly larger suitcase. The floors are uneven, and in some areas, it feels like they could easily collapse; even with a carpet, they still creak when you walk on them. What's even more frustrating is that the attic is already stuffy, and a constant instant noodle smell drifts up from the downstairs restaurant. On the night we checked in, we found one of the air conditioners wasn't working, but the front desk said the maintenance staff had already left for the day and could only provide us with a small electric fan.
