York Hotels with Gym

Caught in a weekend + peak season, the room rate was quite expensive. The room itself wasn't very big, but we were able to check in early. With the sofa bed pulled out, there was barely any space left after opening our luggage. The windows were sealed, and the air conditioning worked decently. Breakfast was a typical English breakfast, and it was included by default with our stay. There were no vegetables or fruits, but it was filling enough. The hotel is within walking distance of the train station. Recommended for a short stay.

Pros: You can walk to all the attractions, which is super convenient. There's a bus stop right downstairs with direct service to the train station. The bedding is comfortable. The TV has screen casting, and the breakfast offers a good variety. The welcome drink was delicious. Cons: The room is cramped. The bathroom is small and doesn't have a separate shower area, the room feels damp, and there's mold in the corners.

We’ve stayed at Delta Hotels York multiple times now, and it continues to be a fantastic choice every single visit. This was our 6th stay, and once again, it was a solid 10/10 experience. The hotel is always spotless—super clean and tidy throughout—which makes a big difference the moment you walk in. The room service is top-notch, and everything feels well thought out and well maintained. We especially appreciated the welcoming amenities in the room, including a great selection of coffee and the Ninja coffee pod machine, which was a lovely touch. The rooms and bathrooms are impressively spacious, with plenty of room to relax comfortably. It never feels cramped, which really adds to the overall experience. The staff are consistently friendly, polite, and genuinely helpful, making every stay smooth and enjoyable. Another big plus for us is the leisure facilities—the jacuzzi and pool are a great bonus and perfect for unwinding. On top of that, the on-site parking is safe, convenient, and reasonably priced, which is one of the main reasons we keep choosing this hotel when visiting York. Overall, a reliable and welcoming place that never disappoints. We’ll definitely be back again.

Perfect stay! Room is very spacious and very clean. Beds and pillows are comfortable. The location is very strategic as well. Walkable to tourist spots and eatries. The buffer breakfast is beyond expectations! We enjoyed our breakfast. Highly recommended.

Great hotel, close to the centre of town. Downside, it’s very noisy. Apartments in the next block over shouting / screaming at the top of their voices late at night. Doors slam in rooms so everyone gets woken up when people go in / out. Breakfast was poor. No fresh food put out the whole time I was there and nothing topped up even. No jam for toast!! £17.99 for a spaghetti bolognaise was also steep but, more tasty than the breakfast.

Positives: well priced, beautiful location, breakfast included. Negatives: the older man on reception would not acknowledge me at check in, despite it being booked and paid for by myself (a female), he insisted on only discussing check in with my partner (male). Sexism is not what I was expecting at a country hotel. Second issue was the floorboards were INCREDIBLY squeaky. I was woken at 5am by the room above me walking around and I’m aware when I walked around the floor in my room was just as squeaky. It was annoying and disruptive. The hotel was pretty and well kept outside but it is not what is shown in the first image on Trip. Inside the room was a little dated and could’ve been cleaner.

A hotel that helps a colleague make a mistake. This family was good in all aspects of the evaluation and chose this family. The hotel's been making good comments. Nice position, too! Good recommendation!
