Laskill

My wife and I booked Laskill House about a year previous and was forced to cancel twice because of COVID. When we finally arrived we were treated like family. Mandy, a genuinely lovely, bubbly host was well supported by a great team, Jen and the girls, all so friendly and helpful. The location is just ‘perfect’, lovely rooms, great food, breakfasts to die for and so many little touches (cake in the room) go a long way to making you feel welcome and wanted. Add that to the grouse, the partridges and the Canadian geese (I think) who welcome you into another day in paradise albeit noisily. Mandy, there wasn’t enough room in your comments book to say more so I’ll use this forum to make up for it. Thank you for allowing us to stay. This was our first stay in one of the cottages in the grounds of Laskill Country House. We were greeted by Mandy and her very friendly staff and shown to our lovely 1 bed cottage. The tiny hamlet of Laskill is situated in an area of outstanding beauty, approximately 6 miles from the beautiful village of Helmsley. Our cottage provided us with a great base for exploring the Yorkshire coast of Whitby, Staithes, Robin Hoods Bay and Runswick Bay all well worth a visit. The villages of Goathland and Thornton le Dale were also very close by plus the lovely North Yorkshire Railway. If you are looking for a quiet stay in the country then look no further than Laskill. With Mandy and her team on hand you are guaranteed a wonderful holiday where you will want to return again and again.

Had the pleasure of staying in Foxglove cottage last week. It’s the most perfect setting for a quiet relaxing break. Foxglove has everything you need to self cater whilst you also have the added option of dining up in the Manor House. Mandy, the owner is a lovely approachable Yorkshire lady who stops at nothing to make your stay as good as can be. The 4 course meal up in the house was wonderful but if you like privacy Mandy will bring it to your cottage too! Overall it gets a 10 from us. Will definitely visit again!

Amazing ! Definitely stay here . There is lovely people animals scenery and food. Rooms are AMAZING . The breakfast was realllllllly lovely!!!! I recommend highly . EXTREMELY clean and amazing decor. Lots of things to do nearby and outstanding walks

I organised a surprise 70th birthday lunch here for my sister in law. What a fantastic place for a celebration, or indeed any occasion. The food was delicious and the two ladies who looked after us were so friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend Laskill Country Hotel for any occasion

My wife and I recently stayed here and were very impressed. The house is set in a beautiful and tranquil location. We had a lovely room and enjoyed the food immensely. Both the evening meal and breakfast the following day were excellent. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing break, I ca highly recommend Laskill House.

Stayed 2 nights over the weekend, from the moment we arrived to leaving nothing was to much trouble. Mandy and her staff were superb, on a arrival we were greeted with a friendly welcoming along with home made cake . Room was amazing setting was beautiful dinner was to the highest quality and was unbelievable value for money. I can only thank everyone for making our weekend special. Will be back as soon as I get a free weekend.

Perfect break here. Easy to book with ***********. Cottages were perfect and we had breakfast and an evening meal at the house. All were excellent and fully recommended. Staff were all friendly and could not be more helpfull.
