The room is big and has a swimming pool. The view is not bad either. The hotel is a bit old, but you can go to the center of York by bus/taxi. More suitable for vacations or less stressful itineraries.
I booked this room because of the Marriott name, but compared to the Marriott I stayed in in Germany, this one is still much worse.
Overall it's a good deal, but the hotel really needs some repairs.

Hotel was fab, all the staff were lovely, our room got upgraded so we ended up with a huge family room! The hotel is so clean and the breakfast was really good!

It's an old house with poor soundproofing and the room instructions are very confusing. I searched for three rooms for 40 minutes but couldn't find them. No one took care of my luggage. I had to get to the room by myself. In winter, I have a lot of luggage and I'm tired. The kids said it was very scary, and living there was a bit like a hotel in a horror movie.

The room facilities are a bit old, and the location is not near the city center. There is not much to eat, except for dining in the hotel. However, as we are a transit city, parking is very convenient. We only stayed for one night, and the price/performance ratio is still good.
