Great hotel and at a great price. The room was great and the bathroom excellent. Only problem I had in room 1 was the noice off the street, and from above in the reception area.

The location is very convenient, very close to attractions and the train station, and the price/performance ratio is very good. The housekeeper is very enthusiastic and helps with luggage. The room is also very clean, and the stay is very comfortable.

We couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. Me and my fiancè stayed for 2 nights in a luxury double and the room was very good with good facilities. It’s the little nice touches such as fresh milk and a hot water bottle in the room. The bed was really comfortable and the hotel is in a good location within walking distance of the main shopping area. The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We will definitely be returning.

This hotel is exactly as it says on the tin. Scandinavian theme throughout and cleverly thought out rooms equipped with some great goodies. Great Jorvik beer in the minibar by the way! We went as a couple for a special birthday and enjoyed every minute start to finish. Breakfast we had on our 2nd morning and didn't disappoint! Kudos to whoever makes the bread - lovely! We will definitely be back and cant recommend enough. Thanks to all your lovely staff too.

We love this hotel. Our first time in York didn’t disappoint! We had a wonderful time at Jorvik house. We arrived and were greeted by Dan who was a great representative of the hotel. He gave us some wonderful recommendations including a nearby hotel with a beautiful beer garden (can’t remember the name of it but it’s a must if sunny!). we loved the location and the beds were super comfy. See you next time we’re in York!

I had a lovely stay at Jorvik House. The rooms are contemporary, very clean, and stylish. The hotel is on a quiet road directly across from the Museum Gardens, which makes access into York town centre very easy. The bathroom was small but perfect for me (solo traveller) with an amazing waterfall shower. My only criticism is that I found the bed ever so slightly lumpy in places but it didn't stop me from getting a decent night's sleep. Good quality bedding and pillows though. The minibar was a nice addition too. I had a great stay here, the staff are so, so kind and friendly. I only wish I'd booked to stay a bit longer!

Great location but profit more important than service. Breakfast is not included in the price. Nor is there a dining room. We ordered porridge, which was delivered to our room. No table to eat it on so one of us had to sit on the bed to eat it. The porridge was not worth the £5.95 they charged and was not very filling. Afterwards we ate a second breakfast at Brew and Brownie on Museum street. Now that is a proper breakfast!
