Great location ideal for a short stay in York

The room was smaller than it appears in the photo. Everything in the room is cheap. The room has a pervading smell that I couldn’t get used to - smoke/cheap cleaning products? The bed was a small double that was very uncomfortable and seemed to be a put you up. I could feel the large buttons on the mattress on my back, the mattress too soft and you rolled into the middle, the pillows were hard to put up to sit back on as there was large gap at the beck of the bed and you slept next to the cooker. The extremely noisy geese and people walking on the outside walkway prevented me from sleeping. The bathroom was very small. The sofa was uncomfortable and cheap. There was no long mirror and no close up mirror. The bathroom mirror was recessed quite far and hard to see into. Only one hand towel wasn’t enough. The tiles were very slippy especially when wet after returning from rain showers. The directions were not clear. The safe too high for me to see into. No mention on the site that you have to pay £40 for two days for the car park. I wouldn’t want to walk on my own into Fossegate through small alleyways, over low chained rails. Needless to say, I wouldn’t recommend it to friends.

Had a fantastic experience staying in Yorkie Suites. Poroperty was exceptionally clean and had everthing required for a short stay. Apar**ents are within easy walking distance to the town centre, approximately 5 minute walk. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for nice accommodation close to all amenities.

We went to York by train for a long weekend. The apar**ent is located in a quieter part of York but at the most a 10 minute walk from all the attractions. The apar**ent was very comfortable and clean and had all the facilities we needed. Highly recommended.
