This is the WORST hotel experience we have ever had. Got there and checked in at 4 pm on Thursday. Went down to the pool... The water slide and hot tub jets were turned off and staff would not turn them on. Our room was NOT cleaned - Garbage was not dealt with, Coffee pods were not replenished, beds/sheets were not made or changed, towels were not replenished - for the ENTIRETY of our 3-night stay. Were told they were "short-staffed" and yet we saw several cleaning staff on site. They came into the room to stick a large supply of Shampoo and Conditioner on the shower wall but did NOT give clean towels. When we called down for towels we had to go downstairs to get them because the staff was too lazy to come up even though we (the guests) were exhausted and had been on our feet for 14 hours. The day desk clerk also kept falling asleep - once IN THE MIDDLE OF A CONVERSATION!!!! Considering the price we paid to stay, the entire stay was subpar. I WILL be calling the manager and choice hotels directly for some money back.

This hotel stay was brutal from start to finish. The hallways were freezing, rooms stunk if you heated them up a bit. Our fridge had been shut off so was full of stench and water. Then when I turned it on, it froze my produce. Pool rules were inconsistent and the hours of the slide were dependent on the availability of a "lifeguard" who could turn it on and sit there. Even tho it was expected for parents to be present too. To top it off, my room got made up in a 20 min span of me being gone to drop my son off at the rink, and I came back to my AirPods having been taken! Worst experience ever. Will NEVER stay here again, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

I don't even know where to begin on how horrible the experience was at this hotel. 1. Early check in was not allowed for any of our ball team families, had to wait until 4 pm which the wait to check in was 20 minutes 2. The rooms are outdated and musty smelling, the ac units could be updated 3. When I had asked for a conference or board room, was told there was one available, I asked if it was big and she said yes, asked to book it and was told shed have to get permission (which I'm not sure why) when she came back a couple of min later she told me we can book it and she told me that we would only be allowed a max of 10 people in it and couldn't have drinks in the room. With 40+ people in our group we didn't have a big enough area to eat a team pizza so we resorted to the parking lot by our vehicles, which we were told to leave or we would be reported. When I asked why only 10 and she said its only big enough for 10 4. The swimming pool - a lot smaller than the pics show, the hotel was not allowed to be used, the "life guard or slide patrol officer" was extremely rude and kicked out our kids who are 13, and one who was 16 when i asked why they were being kicked out she told me that they needed to have their parents with them at all times, as they are underage (this has never been a rule for any hotel we have ever stayed at) finally after telling her that if there has to be a parent for every kid there would never be enough room in the pool area, she agreed one adult per three kids. She shut off the water on the slide and closed it down 20 minutes before the pool was to close and we had argued to her to turn it back on as the pool doesn't close yet. They wouldn't turn the slide on until 2 pm. She was caught not even watching the kids numerous times as she was scrolling Facebook. There was a sign on the door that had been printed off of the Government of Sask rules and regulations that stated 12 and up didn't need a parent, they used a sharpie to mark 16 over the 12. I found the rules on the Government of Sask website that says 12 and the manager had told me rudely that the government isn't up to date and that the Government of Yorkton has updated rules. The "manager" then printed their own rules of needing to be 16 or older, and when we came down the next day the Government of Sask rules were removed from the pool door. All of the hotel rooms have rules for the hotel on their doors and they all state 12 years old. 5. One of our ball families were charged an extra $30 a night which they were not willing to change until they refused to leave as we had a group rate which might I add $177/ night isn't worth the price 6. When I told the manager that she wouldn't be getting good reviews, she laughed and smiled and said okay with not a care in the world 7. Breakfast- horrible to say the least, small area where most people had to take their food to their room if they trusted to eat the food that was there. Overall, I can say this is the worst hote

We are a family who travels often for hockey and ball for our son. I can’t even begin to explain how horrible our experience was at this hotel. This is the first time I’ve ever written a bad review for a hotel I’ve stayed at for sports. I know some teams can be a handful, however none of our issues had anything to do with disorderly kids. 1. Staff: Hotel manager was rude, condescending and argumentative. The lifeguard or pool attendant (whatever she was) was so incredibly rude to us and the kids.. shut the slide down randomly 20 mins early while kids were still going down it, dropped F bombs, was on her phone 90% of the time. 2. One of the families was charged $30 more per night even though she booked within our block. She was told sorry… I couldn’t imagine how you feel but we cannot fix this. It wasn’t until I went with her and together we wouldn’t take no for an answer that they accommodated her. 3. The pool: We were told the age was 16 in order to swim without an adult per child. We stay at a lot of hotels and our 13 year old kids are always allowed to swim, we usually have a couple parents who will do a shift, however one adult per child is outrageous. She changed it to 3 kids per adult. One of our kids is 16 and a lifeguard but she wouldn’t allow him to count as a parent. I called other hotels in Yorkton and their age is 13 to swim without an adult. She continually changed her story.. wrote ‘16’ in marker over the ‘13’ on the regulations. 4. Late check out: When we asked about a late check out due to our team playing a 2:00 pm game and we live 5 hrs away… the hotel staff didn’t even look to see if our room was booked for tomorrow she simply said ‘no’. 5. At 8:45am on our last day we had room service come in to clean and ***** the room down. I was like… we are just going to eat… and will be checking out before 11, the checkout time… please come back then? 6. We asked for a boardroom or meeting room for the team. We were told yes, however only 10 ppl are allowed at a time. Lol All in all, I wouldn’t stay here again or any Quality Inn for that matter. We stay at tons of hotels for both sports and leisure and things happen, but wt this hotel it seemed like the manager and staff went out of their way to treat us horribly. They gave 35 people who are unhappy and shocked at the way they run a hotel. Save yourself some money and stress and book somewhere else if your in Yorkton! The city itself was great!

Would not recommend this hotel. We came here with our call team and it was horrible. First of all, they would not honour the block rate that was promised for some families. So some paid $40 more per night which is outrageous and completely defeats the purpose of having a block. Second our kids who were 13 and15, a few of them are lifeguards them self we’re not allowed in the pool with one parent per child. Horribly rude staff. We’ve stayed in many hotels over the years for hockey and ball and never experienced this. Will never return to any quality inn after this.

Worst management I’ve ever witnessed. They are rude, make up goofy rules with the pool, not welcoming at all and will never stay here again. We are here as a family and with our ball team, they tried ripping off one family by charging them 30.00 more a night also. Worst hotel I’ve ever dealt with.

We were there in May of 2022- good hotel. avg pricing and decent rooms. Yorkton is a small town so you are close to everything. the rooms were clean, the front door staff was pleasant. would stay again.
