Yufuin Ryokan Okaeri

The location was within a 10-minute walk from Yufuin train station. There weren't many options, so I chose it because the reviews seemed good, but I don't think I'll go there again. The breakfast tasted good, but there was no regular white rice so my child had a hard time eating it. What was worse than anything else was that the facilities were very outdated, and when I went to use the empty public bath in the morning, there were no traces of previous use, so I went somewhere else. I also stayed in a room on the second floor, and I could hear the Chinese people talking in the open public bath below so loudly that it was unbearable after 9 p.m. If soundproofing is not possible, it would be a good idea to restrict the use of the public bath late at night.

The hotel has a comfortable environment, and the waiters are warm and welcoming. They are very friendly. The room is of medium size and it is a pleasure to have a private hot spring bath. It is close to Aeon supermarket, as well as Kinrin Lake and Yunohira attractions. It is very convenient. The breakfast is also delicious.

It turned out that the check-in time was only 4-8pm, so I left my luggage in the hotel. But the service is very good. There is a dedicated person to introduce the facilities in the store. Among the five indoor hot springs, you can have a private bath after locking the door. I chose the one with a toilet in the room. Breakfast is delivered to the room. The taste is average. It was so good~ The owner was so kind and guided us well. The scenery outside was very nice with Mt. Yufu, and it was also very close to Yufuin Station. Breakfast was so delicious. thank you I think I visit Japan 6 times a year, but I will come again.

The room size is beyond the average Japanese hotels and inns, the private bath is very good, the public facilities are complete, the public living room is particularly good, parking is free, and the service is thoughtful and appropriate. Recommended!

However, it seems that I was satisfied with almost everything from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. It had all the basic things, and the staff were very kind (like carrying luggage, etc.), so it was nice that I felt like I was treated the whole time. The most important hot spring was also satisfactory. Two hinoki hot springs, one indoor hot spring made of stone, one indoor hot spring, and an outdoor hot spring that are wider than the other four, the water was clean and the temperature was quite hot, so it was nice. It's a system where you don't need to make a reservation to use it, just go to an empty place and use it, so I used all 5 places, only the stone hot springs were a bit bad, and the rest were good. I'll tell you what I regret. First of all, the breakfast is a little poor. It is a very simple and modest style. It was definitely breakfast, so it was good because it was comfortable, but it's good to go without expecting too much. And if you look at other reviews, they say they take a picture in front of the accommodation when you check out, but I didn't. If you want a photo, you'll have to ask for it when you go out.
