Ryokan Tatsumi

Good environment, excellent location. After handing over the room key, no one showed up again. There was no one there when I checked out. I just put the fee and key on the table and left. It was self-service and very free.

The location is very good and the hot spring is very comfortable

It is a very ordinary Japanese-style hot spring hotel. It does not provide meals, but you can buy sushi and sashimi in the nearby supermarket and take it back to the hotel to eat. The hot spring soup is very comfortable. After soaking in it, the skin will become smooth. It is a natural hot spring, but outside The soup is relatively cold. Maybe it was too cold at minus 5 degrees Celsius when I went there, and it was still snowing outside. The air conditioner was an ordinary wall-mounted air conditioner, and the heating was not enough. The owner, Ms. Keiko, is very enthusiastic, but getting hot water is a little troublesome, but Ms. Keiko will still provide it to us.

It was the best value for money ryokan! I had already been to expensive ryokans in Yufuin, so I chose this place as an inexpensive place to stay for a quick stay, and it was great. The lady doesn't speak Korean or English, so we have to use hand gestures to communicate in Japanese, but she is very kind. There is a good view of Mt. Yufu from the room. I thought the hot spring only had an indoor bath, but when I opened the window, there was an outdoor hot spring, so it was great to enjoy the hot spring while watching the moon. We do not provide kaiseki meals or water, but Green tea, Wi-Fi, hair dryer, towels, and yukata are provided. There is shampoo and soap in the washing area. The floor of the room was cold and my feet were cold, and there was a bit of a draft, but the heating was constantly turned on, so I was able to sleep warmly. It's not a very luxurious ryokan, but I recommend it if you don't feel comfortable staying at a good ryokan both times during your two-night stay in Yufuin, or if you want to enjoy a cost-effective ryokan! I was very satisfied! *Check-out at 10 a.m., luggage storage available until 2 p.m.

It was a great experience~ The lady boss communicated with me in Japanese➕English throughout the whole process~ I can totally understand it, hahahaha😄 I will take a look around the hotel's facilities. The most amazing thing about the tatami is the pillows. They are short pillows that are perfect for me. They are made of rice inside. The location is also very good and travel is very convenient ~ If I have the chance to go to Yufuin again, I will choose this restaurant~

Check-out time is different from actual Checking out at 10 am... The owner's grandmother was angry and couldn't communicate at all, so I had a hard time packing my bags. It doesn't seem very suitable for foreigners.

The house is about forty years old, with traditional Japanese tatami There is no ceiling, but the air conditioner is very hot. The bathroom is very small and there is no shower room. You need to take a bath in the big bathhouse. The hot spring bathhouse is beautiful, and it is also very beautiful at night. There is a detailed introduction to the use of the bathhouse. The water quality is very good and very comfortable. There is no such thing in the B&B. Breakfast, but there is a large local supermarket with everything you need within a five-minute walk. I have a family restaurant where I can have breakfast.

The third stop of Japan’s Kitakyushu trip was to Yufuin (part of Oita Prefecture). This time it was a Japanese-style hotel called Ryokan Tatsumi. The hotel is not far from Yufuin JR Station and can be reached on foot. The entrance to the hotel and the surrounding environment are very good, like a beautiful Japanese garden, peaceful and quiet. There was only an amiable old Japanese mother in charge of the reception, who carefully explained various precautions, including the use of hot springs. This hotel has its own hot springs, including indoor hot spring pools and outdoor hot spring pools, and they are open 24 hours a day. Especially having a hot spring in the open-air courtyard is very refreshing. The hotel rooms are also very spacious. The bed is placed directly on the tatami in a completely Japanese style, with Japanese-style yukata and jacket. The various facilities in the room are well coordinated, there is a separate bathroom, the room is overall neat and clean, and the bed is relatively comfortable. The scenery outside is very beautiful when standing in the room. In Yufuin, this is a hotel worth experiencing. Highly recommended.
