Reasonable price for onsen hostel with 2 meals. Garden view from room was peaceful. Spacious room though the facilities were a bit old. Breakfast and dinner were included but just average.

The room type booked this time has two private hot springs in the room, one is indoors and the other is outdoor. In addition, there is a large bath for men and women and one bed and two meals. It is very cost-effective.

Terrible hotel, terrible experience. Due to a two-hour flight delay to Fukuoka, the bus and jr originally booked were no longer available, so we took the last train to Yufuin, which departed at 6:30 and arrived at Yufuin Station at 8:50. We originally called the front desk to reserve dinner and pick-up service, but the language communication was not fluent. At first, we said that we would not be picked up. Later, we came, but Little Japan had a look of resentment on his face, drove all the way, complained while driving, and finally dumped us at the hotel. In fact, it is a B&B with a hot spring certificate. There were two waiters who didn't speak English well, so they managed to communicate and reserved dinner. When I checked out the next day, I misheard the check-out time. It should be 10:00. I thought it was 10:30. I received a call at 10:20, which meant that the fee would be deducted if I didn’t check out. The attitude was extremely bad. I quickly packed up my bag in 5 minutes and went downstairs. , drank a free drink in front of the public bathroom, but little Japan took the drink away with a quick step and continued to curse. If it hadn't been booked out and all the hot spring hotels in Yufuin were gone, who would come to this small hotel that was far away from the station and was so annoying?

It happened to be a heavy rain in Kyushu. I traveled by car from Fukuoka to Yufuin. It was already around 4pm when I arrived at the hotel, but the weather was exceptionally good! The hotel has two private open-air baths, one large and one small, but they are not in the guest rooms. You have to walk underground. One-time use time is limited to 30 minutes. No reservation is required, and you can enter when no one is there. However, there are not many people staying, so you can use it at any time. This time we stayed one night and had two meals. The hotel would not deliver meals to the room. We had to go to the underground restaurant to eat. The food quality was okay. Unfortunately, the hotel didn't attract me to want to stay again. It's okay to give it a try.

The hotel is located on the hillside of Yufuin Town, and Alpha can pick up and drop off tourists from Yufuin Station. The hotel's private baths and public baths are very good. Taking a dip in the open-air bath here can wash away the fatigue of the day. The breakfast and dinner included in the hotel are also very rich and well worth it.

The private onsen's lock wasn't secured that someone could broke inside!! We came here as a couple with my husband. There were 2 private onsens that you have to queue. If shoes are in front of onsen, then someone is using. Each round can use onsen for 30 mins. We waited outside until a group came out. Then, we entered. I locked the door, however the lock was only a thin hook. After only 5 mins bathing, someone knocked the door, so we told them that we just entered. Then, in an instance, a guy (hotel guest) broke the lock and poked his head inside. I was freezing shocked, same as my husband. We did not enjoy time anymore, so we got up from onsen. Then, manager came to talk to us with a guy that broke the lock. He said he misunderstand that his friends are still inside. However, we weren't impressed by manager's action. She told us "This guest had been waiting for 5-10 mins outside onsen just to say sorry to you, then what can I do for you if you are not ok" Her voice didn't sound humble, but kind of starting to get annoyed. Obviously, this guest shouldn't break inside if someone is using onsen. But, hotel should also provide a lock that is stronger than this for private onsen!! Weak security made us feel down for the rest of the trip. I don't recommend to take private onsen bath if the lock is still as weak as this. Maybe it's better to stay in other onsen hotel to avoid from your trip is ruined by accident.

Meal is tasty but small portion for men. The hotel area is a bit small. And the hotel is quite far from the station.
