It felt like a vacation rental, and I was able to rent a room in a regular apartment. All tableware is available and you can use the kitchen. There was a refrigerator, chopsticks, electric kettle, knife, and everything we needed. I also had pajamas, or rather, loungewear. Since we had a hot plate, we bought some meat from a nearby supermarket and had Yakiniku. It feels like a vacation home and it's fun. It was convenient because there was a convenience store and a drug store that also sold alcohol nearby. It might be fun to stay with a large group.

Hotel Shiroyama might be easily overlooked by foreign travelers. And there may be a reason for that. It doesn't really cater to non-Japanese speakers. That said, if you can speak some Japanese and you have a good understanding of Japanese etiquette and rules, you can have an excellent experience at this hotel. (I am a Westerner, I can speak some Japanese, and I have a Japanese husband. All of this was greatly to my benefit, so, keep that in mind as you read this review.) Hotel Shiroyama is, depending on what part of the hotel you are in, quite old. There are parts of it that look like it's from the Showa era, with maroon walls and old-style hotel carpeting. But then... in the men's sento (public bath), it was incredibly beautiful and clean and modern. Small, yes, but still, truly lovely. Also, the rooms: there must have been a ”refresh” on all the bathrooms: there were double sinks, a stall shower with an overheard attachment so you can really get a good blasting if you want one, and of course a washlet toilet with the lid that opens when you approach it. The rooms were also quite large, with a separate little sitting area near the window (although there is no view to speak of, at least from the 2nd floor). The pièce de résistance is the Japanese dinner that is served in your room. It is quite astonishing in the number of dishes that are offered: lots of small appetizers, sashimi, sumashijiru (a clear soup that is divine), beef stew covered with a baked rice cracker, several other dishes that are heated at the table, rice, of course, and more. We stopped counting and stopped eating -- it was too much. And then of course there was dessert. Now, I am not saying this was a 5-star meal; some of it was great, the rest was good. But the amount that was served was sort of mind-boggling. Of course you can also order beer or sake or soft drinks to go with the meal. Trust me; for two people, it was just way too much food, unless you have super hearty appetites and absolutely love Japanese cuisine. That said, if you are unable to sit cross-legged in a chair made for that purpose, you will be somewhat uncomfortable for the entire meal. It is all served on a low table, and while you can put your feet under the table, you will not be sitting in a position that is natural for most Westerners. There is a smallish table in the sitting room (near the window), but do not expect them to put the food there, because there are too many dishes and they won't fit. I would say the Hotel Shiroyama went above and beyond to provide a really lovely ”Japanese experience” with their dinner. Also, the breakfast served in the morning in a communal dining room was fairly hearty, but it is entirely Japanese. If you are used to eating this way, or you are craving this kind of experience you will enjoy it -- but remember, these meals are ”set.” There is no substitution for anything. They do not cater to vegetarians, so if you are one, this is not the place for you. The attend

The whole accommodation experience is very good, the environment is really beautiful, the BBQ and campfire at night are very relaxing, family and friends are very satisfied, and it is very close to the Shiguoyu Observatory, and there is a different scenery in a few minutes.
The berth is wide and friendly to self-driving travelers, but the entrance is slightly narrow, driving a vehicle the size of Alphard may be a bit difficult, but it should be enough.
Absolutely a encore accommodation.

The hotel was very nice and It was a fascinating experience for me and my friend. Cats were soooo cute and adorable. It was a terrible mistake. I didn't go to neko Cafe with my cellphone. There were so many kitties and cats.
Momo slept with us, and she was so nice and cute. She slept on my hand so I couldn't move but it was so happy. If I go to Japan next time, here will be my first destination, and I'd like to stay long days. Thank you for the nice host. Thank you.
Oh, but if u want to ride an airplane from here. Please check u have many times to go to the airport. Here is a little bit far from the airport. But It will be a nice experience for those who want to live with cats in only one day like me!

This time, I stayed in a premium view room on the top floor. All rooms have an ocean view, and you can see Hatsushima, Oshima, and the Boso Peninsula in the distance. The large public bath (with open-air bath) on the second floor is fed directly from the source, and the open-air bath in particular offers a view of the water park, Atami Castle, Korakuen Hotel, and Hotel New Akao. Dinner is buffet style at the restaurant on the third floor. There are about 80 items (it says so on the website, but I wonder if there were really that many?). I enjoyed the all-you-can-drink bran. Breakfast is also in the same place, buffet style, with about 60 items. The dried horse mackerel was especially delicious. Also, the massage chair was comfortable and suited my body! However, the parking lot is in a different building (additional charge), so it's a bit of a walk and a bit inconvenient.

I’m a little torn to rate the location average because it can be a pain to get to if you don’t have a car, but the view from the room (apparently all rooms have view of the sea) is great.
A lot of variety for breakfast but nothing really stood out.
I didn’t get to visit the onsen because they don’t allow tattooed people.
I would stay again, especially in summer on a fireworks day!

This hotel is right next to the Mishima train station for both regular JR trains and Shinkansen trains on Tokyo-Osaka line. One can walk in without even cross the road. Access if from the first floor (ground) and the reception is in the second floor. There is a small shopping area in the ground floor. Rooms are of good size with separate seating area. Beds are comfortable and have all facilities expected in a first class hotel. More importantly the toilet and bathroom are in sperate enclosures. If one gets the station side rooms, one could see Mt Fuji in all its glory. Breakfast is good with a choice of Japanese and western dishes; and staff is quite helpful. The only issue is that noise insulation could be little better; it is certainly not comparable to what we found in a hotel situated next to a busy train track.

7 minutes from the south exit of Mishima Station. There is a 7-Eleven nearby. This hotel is cheap and beautiful. Free breakfast. Instead, the room has two shared showers on the floor without a bath. No TV, no drinks such as coffee, and cleaning is only on Mondays for consecutive nights. The towels and amenities in the room are thoroughly cost-cut when they are in front of the elevator. Ideal for people who only sleep at work. Breakfast changes daily with bread, but it may be difficult to stay consecutive nights because it doesn't change almost. The cooler is independent for each room, so you can make it your favorite temperature, there are outlets on the bedside and USB Type-A outlets. The front desk is small, so check-in and out seem to be crowded. The best response is to have time.

Very Good
GGuest UserI visited with my family in mid-March. It is reasonable because it is a municipal mutual aid inn. The parking lot will be entered from the river side road, not from the main street side. This time, the grade of cooking was in the middle of the 60th birthday plan. Still, for the main dish, one fish for two people and a large boiled Kinmedai came out. It is quite impressive. I think it was good that the taste was sweet and spicy like Kanto style. I wanted a little more sense of the earth and season for the hassun and sashimi. The celebratory shortcake was delicious. I hope that those who celebrate the anniversary will be looking forward to it. For breakfast, only dessert, rice, soup, and drinks are served as a buffet. Compared to the full buffet, there are still more things left behind, so it feels a bit wasteful. The size and structure of the baths are normal for a hot spring inn, but it seems that only the source is disinfected here, and they pay as much attention as possible to the quality of the hot water.
莫莫莉楊The location is quite remote. I walked there when I went there and almost gave up. Fortunately, there was a shuttle from the hotel to the station when I left.
But the overall experience was pretty good, and the people in the store were very friendly.
TtomuloveStayed at the front night of the plum festival in Mt. Busan. After arriving, you can drink coffee next to the front desk, the room is old but clean. I was guided as soon as I said I wanted to go to the bath of the next Komachi Kan, and the slippers were clean and disinfected. You can do it slowly because you don't have a night and morning meal. He was also hospitalized with dishes using local food and had a volume. The incorporation is beautiful. The staff are kind, I took a walk along the river and went to Manyo Park. The trainees from Nepal also worked hard. It is recommended for those who want to enjoy Yukawahara slowly.
GGuest UserAs part of a tour organized by Club Med Découvertes, I spent one night (March 31, 2023) in this ryokan. I occupied room 242. The establishment seems at the end of the world. The hotel itself has no particular charm, it is a modern building located in a narrow valley. The reception is ordinary. It seems that there are not many people at reception and generally one wonders where the staff is. It is therefore impossible to get information or help. Signage is non-existent or very confusing and it is easy to get lost in a maze of corridors. Once you arrive, we give you some advice: dress up in a kimono. The one in my room is a child's kimono! So a good point for being ridiculous. The room in question, although it is large (a large room with coffee tables, where a tatami and a futon will be deployed for the night, another small room, a separate toilet, a bathroom) is totally uncomfortable. It's low in the ceiling and as I'm tall I bumped into it a lot of times, or you have to walk bent over. Impossible to open the windows or take advantage of a mini terrace. The equipment is minimal: safe, empty minibar, no wifi everywhere, air conditioner that must be unplugged to have an electrical outlet near where you have to sleep, no bedside lamp, nothing to hang your things on. , insufficient pillows, no large bath towel, ... The comfort is really very basic. The bathroom includes a sink, a shower whose shower head cannot be hung at eye level, a sort of tray for enjoying the thermal waters. There is only one small towel, which is very insufficient. The only positive point is that it's quiet. The dinner was very average, although I must admit that efforts had been made to satisfy us with a menu containing I don't know how many dishes. The breakfast is Japanese, so not suited to my tastes. There is no bar. I didn't try the onsen, not being at all ready to walk around naked in front of strangers. In summary, and as far as I am concerned (I understand very well that one could have a different opinion), this night is more folklore than hotel business. And I think the quality/price ratio is catastrophic, when you see the price of the night on online reservation sites. At this price you can find a 4 or 5* hotel without any problem. I will never try a similar experience when I return to Japan.
