The location of the hotel is very good. It is only 3-5 minutes away from the Sea Organ and the Old Town. The interior decoration of the hotel is exquisite and artistic. I especially like the restaurant for breakfast, like sitting in a glass conservatory in a small garden. Although the breakfast set menu is simple, it is It is also nutritious enough.

The annex building is some distance from the front desk, and the front desk guy will help carry luggage to the room. For breakfast, you need to walk back to the restaurant next to the front desk.
The hotel is located in the center of Split Old Town, about a 5-minute walk from the Sea Organ, and not far from other old town attractions.
If you drive by yourself, just hand your car keys to the front desk when you arrive at the hotel. The guy at the front desk will park the car for you. The parking fee is 13 euros per day.
The location is very advantageous, recommended for a short stay!

First off, the good: Great location Wonderful made to order breakfast Amazing room with beautiful artwork, stunning floors, comfy bed, great view of the water Very spacious with modern aesthetic Hot water and coffee service outside your room I would have given this place a 5 star rating if it wasn’t for the credit card issue I encountered. Out of all the places we stayed, and we stayed 6 places during our trip, this was the only one who used a credit card machine that didn’t automatically charge me in euros and provided a confusing message asking if it was euros or US dollars without explaining what that meant. I assumed it meant if my credit card was from a US bank…. Guess I should have asked more clarification questions as I ended up having to pay an extra $100 in USD on top of my room cost, which was way above what they even listed as their conversion fees on the receipt. This was part of the Dynamic Currency Conversion scam and unfortunately I fell for it. When I reached out to them to ask them if they could refund and re-run it in Euros as a mistake was made, and that they charged over what conversion rate was listed on their receipt, they said there was nothing they could do. Unfortunately this soured what would have been a great hotel for us.

Large room looking out at the harbor. Windows you can open and all the amenities. Excellent breakfast cooked to order served in a solarium or in their courtyard. Helpful staff let us store bags and gave great directions. Hotel is adjacent to the old city so walking is very convenient. A three block walk to the sites along the waterfront. Excellent restaurant next door called Morita. No language issues. A very enjoyable introduction to Zadar.

Fantastic location just inside the gates to the old city. Easy to walk around and explore. Nice updated hotel, great breakfast and friendly helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.

Posizione strategica in pieno centro con parcheggio privato. Camera pulita, spaziosa. Entrando nella stanza c’è un salottino con divano e tv poi soppalcato il letto. Il bagno nuovo moderno. TOP. La colazione alla carta, molto buona e varia , forse ci sono un po’ troppe cose salate per noi italiani, servita in una corte piena di fiori. Camerieri gentilissimi.

Lovely hotel with a perfect location in old town and near the water. The service was extremely friendly and Laura at the front desk was particularly helpful with sightseeing and restaurant suggestions. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Highly recommend!

The first night we arrived to Zadar, we were so tired and had no reservation. We walked into Almayer Hotel and we were welcomed by Ms. Laura and Mr. Roko. They were so happy to help us and made sure we had a comfortable room. Even though we had to reservation, Mr. Rocco was very friendly and accommodating to us. He even helped with our luggage 🧳! The rooms are nice and updated making them very comfortable to stay in. I highly recommend this hotel. Can’t wait to stay here again.

What a delightful hotel! Small and quaint right in the old town. Two floors no elevator but not a problem because the capable front office women will gamely haul your bags up one floor. Excellent restaurant and garden. We had breakfast and dinner on property. We stayed in a duplex with a loft room. Well equipped and clean rooms. There are designated parking lots round the hotel entrance. Compliments to Elena whose wicked sense of humour was brilliant and ever so helpful. Will return!
