Hotel is Great. Breakfast is included in your stay. The rooms are gorgeous and with an amazing matterhorn view from our room. The spa and sauna were also amazing. All staffs were very helpful.

The Matterhornlodge is located about a 5-10 min walk from the Zermatt station.
We arrived at about 1pm and were informed that check-in was only at 2pm so we went for lunch and returned at around 2.30pm. We were greeted by Ruth, the proprietress of the hotel, who gave us a comprehensive briefing of the house rules and policies. Ruth was very warm, friendly, and charming; she was very guest-focused and was happy to find out more about where we were from and what we planned to do. Ruth even gave us recommendations for Bern when we told her we were going there next.
Although the hotel is stated to be 4 stars, we were very impressed by the room and the amenities. The bathroom came with a bidet and the toiletries provided were of good quality. The room was also very spacious with enough room to open up 2 luggage bags. The towels and robes were thick, warm, and fluffy.
The breakfast provided in the morning was also quite good with a decent selection of breads, cold cuts, cheese, and eggs.
At checkout, Ruth also gave us a complimentary ride to the train station in her electric vehicle.
All in all, we had a very enjoyable stay at the Matterhornlodge and we were very impressed by Ruth’s hospitality.

Wir wurden herzlich empfangen. Das Zimmer (mit Blick zum Matterhorn) war sehr schön und grosszügig. Die Wellness Anlage ist klein aber sehr fein. Das Frühstück ist reichlich und die Bedienung sehr zuvorkommend. Der Skiraum ist ideal. Gerne wieder. Die Lage ist perfekt und ruhig.

This is one of the best hotels we have had the pleasure of staying in. We were expecting high standards being in Switzerland and we were not disappointed in any way, in fact the standards exceeded expectations. The first impressions were so good, the hotel oozes warmth and welcome and the host greeted us within moments of arrival and made us feel very welcome, like a family would. We were encouraged to contact reception for anything that we needed or wasn't as we would like.... we never needed to make a call. The interior decor was perfectly balanced for the location and everything was spotlessly clean. The room was warm, bed comfortable, and bathroom beautiful - we even had the most amazing view of the Matterhorn!. The quality flowed everywhere with Villeroy & Boch products clearly very popular. Breakfast was a repeat of all the above, excellent choice, excellent setting, and excellent service. Finally, on the note of overall service, we really cannot say a bad word about any member of staff. They work like one big happy family, it was such a pleasure to watch, and be looked after by a happy, competent and confident team.

Très bel hôtel avec une ambiance familiale et sympathique, accueil merveilleux. Très bien situé et très calme. Grande chambre pratique et parfaitement propre. Belle décoration. La zone wellness est très agréable. À recommander sans hésiter.

Nous avons réservé et payé une chambre avec vue Mont Cervin alors que le Cervin n’est pas visible depuis la chambre. Il est visible uniquement partiellement depuis le bord du balcon (chambre numéro 105). Les photos du site ne reflètent pas la réalité. La réponse de l’hôtel après cette remarque fut : « merci pour feed back..! » un peu léger pour un lodge 4 étoiles. C’est tout de même plusieurs centaines de francs d’écarts avec une chambre classique sur plusieurs nuits.

We booked our trip from Florida with a travel company that we’ve never used before. One of our accommodations was the Matterhorn Lodge. We were blown away with their service and the clean modern look of our room. They treated us like family which is rare today. Breakfast was amazing. Would highly recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed!
