The check-in time must be before 16:00, because if it is later, there will be no cable car to the top of the mountain. The hotel is on the mountain, opposite the Golden Summit of the Matterhorn, which has great scenery. The hotel service is very good, providing dinner and breakfast.

Where to begin!? Schwarzsee Hotel is amazing for skiers who travel across the continents with the mentality to enjoy the outdoors. This hotel is very convenient as it is a ski-in-and-out hotel. With the most amazing views of the Matterhorn and part of the Swiss Alps just out your window. The gondola is one minute walk and to embark further up in the mountains and all the way to Cervinia ski resort which lands in Italy!! The staff at the hotel are polite and helpful, the food is beyond delicious. Enjoyed every meal for 4 consecutive days. Your stay includes breakfast and dinner. The dormitories are a bit stretchy and the mattresses hard spring coils. But if you are here to ski the alps, this is just a minor thing that you can overlook. I would definitely comeback!!

I stayed solo in the dorm room. Kind of a once in a lifetime place. The views are so beautiful and you at night are in the middle of nowhere. No TV, very few outlets even. Just a very old school dining room with excellent continental food. Guests seemed mostly Swiss or German. I learned a lot about Swiss hospitality. The culture is not exactly touchy feely but so on top of how to treat their guests. Naomi, who was a front of the house person was especially efficient. pleasant and helpful while being non-intrusive. The dorm itself is not glamorous but clean.

Amazing view of the Matterhorn, and the town of Zermatt, friendly and welcoming staff, included dinner and breakfast were delicious Highly recommended for skiing from and to, rooms are modern and always clean you won’t be disappointed

The stay was a real experience for us, away from the hustle and bustle and right on the slopes! The hotel staff was very helpful, the kitchen also fulfilled our special wishes. We would love to come back.

Uniquely beautiful location directly under the Matterhorn. Please stay as you are, friendly and familiar! The camps are cheap, half board is excellent, service is friendly, registration and rebooking is easy, thank you for uniquely beautiful days!
