I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Everything was very neat and clean. Very convenient location, 5 minutes from the entrance to the park. I am very grateful to the hostess of the hotel and her husband for their help in drawing up a plan to explore the park. The weather was not the best, their advice helped us to spend time as efficiently as possible.

Very nice stay. The owners were very kind and helpful, no matter the language barrier : gave me tips on the roads to take for hiking, indicated the time required for each segment, and recommended the restaurant next door (less rustic than my other meals in the area - got a discount). The room was spacious, the bed was quite comfortable, and it smelled nicely of pine wood due to the material used for decoration and construction, a great add-on while staying in the mountains. Location was great too, at the very end of the town, 5 min walk from the entrance of the Wulingyuan part of Zhangjiajie. To access other parts of the park, it's a straight line to walk to the bus station (10min on foot maybe) which can take you to any part needed. For indication it takes about 40min (one way) to go to Zhangjiajie City & TianMenShan entrance, and similar amount of time to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park entrance.

I didn't expect that there would be such a cost-effective hotel right here at the east gate of Zhangjiajie. The rooms are spacious, ethnic-style, and very hygienic. The boss was very enthusiastic and gave me a hand-painted guide map. He also patiently recommended tourist routes for me, which saved me time and allowed me to visit the highlights of Zhangjiajie. I've been to many places. This is the second time I've stayed in a B&B that feels like a vacation for such a small amount of money, except for the fishing village in Changdao, Shandong. The experience is super good. The location of the boss's house is super good. If you take a taxi further in, you can't get in at night. His house is just right. There is a night market downstairs, which is super fun to visit. But don't buy those bodhi seeds with cinnabar and silver ornaments. I should have asked the boss before buying them. I was fooled. It was very comfortable to play according to the route the boss told me. I stayed at the boss's house and slept until I woke up naturally before going to travel. I came back to visit the night market at night. It's about a five-minute walk to the East Gate. The Changde rice noodles at the door opposite are super delicious and not spicy. At night, this street is full of authentic Xiang's foot massage, which is not expensive. The feeling is super good. It is the most authentic homestay I have ever stayed in. We don't want to leave. Now we are back home. In fact, we really shouldn't go to Fenghuang Ancient Town and Furong Town. We should have stayed at the boss's house for a few more days. You will know when you come here that there is no homestay more convenient than this place. The authentic Tujia stilt house is the most beautiful on this street. It is really the most convenient and comfortable to live here. There is an elevator in his house. We had a great time. We met a foreign brother doing yoga. The feeling of vacation is full. The only shortcoming is that I stayed for three days, which is too short. I should have stayed for five days. If you can't eat spicy food, there is an authentic and inexpensive Shaxian snack at the bus station. It takes about ten minutes to walk there. If you can eat spicy food, you are blessed. There are delicious authentic Tujia dishes around.
