對於從南門進張家界國家森林公園的自駕人，是位置很好的酒店。步行到景區大門也就十五分鐘。
特別適合自駕，車可以放在酒店停車場。酒店有足夠大的停車場。
酒店前台的2個小姑娘同志，認真熱情（商量領導，幫助辦理房間升級），介紹周邊，有問必答。
後面的一個樓（新裝修的）更好一些，衞生和格局都不錯。服務員每天認真清掃，補充飲用水。
另，酒店由三一重工託管，院中小景緻佈置有特點，從院中就看到景區的山峯。山區空氣清新，特別是雨後的早晨，四周山上煙雨縹緲。
