Zhangzhou Yuanshan Fliport Hotel

This was my first time visiting Zhangzhou, and the hotel's location was fantastic, right on the south bank of Zhangzhou Old Town. Getting around was very convenient, and it was only a 20-minute walk to the Old Town. The views were absolutely stunning, especially the night lights – they were incredible! You get panoramic views of the beautiful scenery along both banks of the Jiulong River. The room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast offered a great variety, especially the local Zhangzhou specialties – definitely give those a try! Just a little tip: the executive lounge benefits are only available on weekends; it's closed on weekdays.

The room was clean and tidy, and the balcony was huge with a beautiful view of Kowloon Lake. The staff were very attentive and always ready to help. The reception young man was especially helpful; he upgraded my room. I'll definitely come back if I have the chance.

Pleasantly surprised! The hotel lobby is grand and impressive, and the rooms are clean and tidy. The breakfast offers a great variety, and the Chinese dishes are delicious, especially in the private dining rooms. It's also conveniently located close to the old town, just a short walk away. Zhuangzhuang from the restaurant provided excellent service, and parking was super easy and convenient. Thumbs up!

Facilities: The facilities are old and poorly maintained. I booked this place because it's supposedly the best in Zhangzhou, and this is what I get? A 'Prince Frog' ad right at the entrance, very commercialized. Cleanliness: The hygiene is just okay, and the decor is very simple, almost rudimentary. This room type has a huge balcony, but there's no place to hang clothes. They have a self-service laundry room, but you have to supervise everything yourself. For such a large hotel, only two dryers were working, and I waited forever. There were very few staff. On the first day, the room attendant didn't even realize I was extending my stay and was still cleaning the room at almost 5 PM – I've never seen anything like it. Environment: Breakfast was terrible, not even close to the quality of Jianfa hotels. It seems the people of Zhangzhou spoil this hotel too much; even with such awful service, it was fully booked for New Year's Day. At 10:30 AM, while breakfast guests were still eating, they started bringing out lunch items, which couldn't be touched. There were still many breakfast guests, and restocking was very slow. The staff were clearly overworked and exhausted. Service: The hotel has no doormen, and people were just chatting at the front desk – fantastic! 👍 Throughout my two-day stay, I genuinely felt there was no service at all. Asking for an extra blanket took at least half an hour, and I had to keep calling. When I called, it was an AI customer service, and after leaving a message with no response, I was transferred to a human. The smart system is completely useless. In short, it's terrible. There are no delivery robots, so you have to walk everywhere for takeout. They act more arrogant than Marriott or Sheraton, but their service isn't even as good as Huazhu, and their breakfast is far inferior to hotels under the Jianfa Group in Fujian. The bedding comfort was also just average.

The hotel's breakfast was incredibly rich and varied! We stayed for two nights, and since we were in a hurry on the first day, we made sure to wake up early on the second day to fully enjoy it. There were four of us, and as soon as the staff saw us, they immediately and efficiently put tables together for us, getting us well-settled. What stood out was Ms. Luo from the breakfast restaurant; seeing that my elder companion had mobility issues, she proactively helped carry our food to the table with a smile and a wonderful attitude. To top it off, she even brought us a complimentary fruit platter at the end. Truly exceptional and thoughtful service!

The hotel room was very spacious and comfortable, which was great for staying with kids. There was a wide variety of hot spring pools to choose from, perfect for families of all ages. However, a downside was that you couldn't always get fresh towels at the hot springs; by the end, our towels were soggy and a bit cold. Also, my child got several mosquito bites at the hotel, but the staff provided ointment and even gave us a small gift. Overall, I'd still recommend it. It's conveniently located just across a bridge from the ancient town, making it easy to visit.
