The only good thing about this hotel is it has easy access to public transport. But the public transport is so good, anywhere you stay will be convenient. The rest was absolutely awful. AWFUL. Andreas on the front desk was rude, unhelpful and sarcastic. The two nights we stayed here all we could hear all night was constant creaking from the floorboards above us. We were woken up at 6am both mornings and kept awake long into the night. We tried to raise this issue with the receptionist (Andreas) who blatantly ignored us to the point where my mum had to say “are you listening to me”. He had complete disregard for how awful our experience was. At 7:30am we called Andreas into our room to experience what we had been putting up with and he said nothing and walked off. Did not apologise or try to resolve the problem, just walked off and left the maid who couldn’t speak any English to deal with the brunt of our anger and frustration. It turns out we were placed under a room with a small child in, who had been running around all morning causing the floorboards to constantly creak. A small child, imagine if it was an adult, they’d be through the floorboards. We asked for glasses in our room and he said “why do you need glasses, there is no mini bar”. Oh our mistake! We’ll have a glass of water when we get back to England! We were given a room upgrade when we first arrived at the hotel and was told we were going to be given a room with a view. The view was the Peugeot garage opposite and their offices eye line with our bedroom, meaning we had to keep the curtains shut for privacy especially when changing, leaving us with minimal artificial lighting. I am not usually one to write a tripadvisor review but our stay at this hotel was honestly so bad I felt unjust not to. If you hate sleeping or hate the person you plan to stay here with then book but it was honestly awful.

I had a great experience - the location is perfect on a great tram route. Rooms are basic but exactly what we needed. Things to note is that you will need a Swiss adapter, not a European one, and it's an 11 minute walk to Stadion Letzigrund. Being close to the ground may be advantageous to some however if there's a football game or event on that you're not interested in, it may be a hinderance.

This "hotel" is an imposition. The noise from non-soundproof windows on a main road is still acceptable. Much worse is the noise from the very thin walls in the other rooms. I woke up several times during the night due to noise from other guests. At breakfast, communication in German or English is almost impossible. You have to boil eggs yourself, as well as turn on the kettle and coffee machine yourself. Service is zero. The rating of unsatisfactory is still not accurate for this hotel. Definitely one of the worst places to stay in Zurich

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Very conveniently situated near a tram line that connects you to the main station. Lots of great food options nearby. Unlike other reviews we found it to be quiet. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. The lift is working. Overall we were very happy with this hotel.

The room itself is fine, very basic, but fine. However, I strongly do not recommend this hotel based on the staff alone. Upon arrival we were told there was "good news and bad news" before the receptionist started swearing at his computer. It turned out the good news was we had been given an upgrade to the sister hotel, the bad news was we couldn't have it because of an admin error. When I asked to borrow a plug adapter (standard European ones DO NOT work, contrary to my googling) the second member of staff was equally rude. He very abruptly told me it was only for borrowing and he needed it back as soon as possible. The feeling was that when we asked questions, we were putting them out because they had to do hospitality. One positive was the female receptionist who checked us out who was very kind and understanding of the treatment we had received.
