An old luxury hotel with a very good location, right by the lake. It is very convenient to eat, drink and shop around. The room facilities are also well maintained. Fruits and bottled water are provided every day. Flowers are carefully placed in the room. It is indeed Warm-hearted and has the feel of old-style luxury.

After an 8-day cruise down the Rhine, we drove around Switzerland for several days, finishing up in Zurich. We spent 2 nights at the Storchen. Beautiful hotel right in the middle of the historic district, and right on the river. Rooms are well appointed and service throughout the hotel was excellent.

I was very impressed by the Storken. In the heart of Zurich it manages to combine great views, friendly staff and luxury while feeling like a small boutique hotel. The rooms we had were large and comfortable with plenty of space to lounge about. The staff were very friendly and efficient, always having time to explain things about the hotel or about Zurich. They provided great service and made us feel at home. We were there on a Swiss holiday weekend so were not able to get boat trips or lunch at the other properties along the lake owned by the group. Next time we would know to book in advance. Overall, this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at and I wold have no hesitation in recommending it to any traveller with a taste for luxury and the bank balance to go with that taste.

Stayed one night. We had a room with a wonderful view. Bed was very comfortable , room was very well equipped. Breakfast was excellent, staff very pleasant and professional. We were given a free welcome drink at The Nest bar on the roof of the hotel, an experience on its own. Hotel is very centrally located, we loved Zürich and would like to return. The advice for management: the sat nav sends you the wrong way in the pedestrian area. It’s is very easy for your staff to give some email instructions on what to put into the sat nav in order to prevent high levels of stress trying to find the hotel by car. On a positive note valet parking was excellent. It’s the small details that make a 5 star hotel worthy of its 5 stars. The excellent treatment we received from your staff turned this into a 5 star review again.
