First of all, it was very clean because it was renewed. Nevertheless, due to the local characteristics of Darwin, I saw insects in the room on the first day, but when I told the office, I cleaned them and put them in the room.
Locationally, there was a mindil sunset market within walking distance and cbd was not too far away.
Although I inquired about the check-out rate due to the flight, I was disappointed about the part that cost $30 an hour, but other than that, it was generally a satisfactory visit.
Great location when visiting Kakadu National Park. Original architectural design. However, room and dining prices are inflated to due the remote location (tight supply and high demand of lodging options). Pool is small but does the job to help cool off.
The check in experience was not good. Room was fully paid for but had to provide credit card even though I don't have one. Desk clerk made it quite clear that any damage would need to be paid for. why, because I am Aboriginal (he did not say this but it was clear in his attitude). He also mentioned about guests.
for a company that makes a substantial amount of money from the Aboriginal community it is sad that you have prejudiced people welcoming guests.
The best hotel in all of Australia.
The staff is very helpful and kind, ready to solve our problems.
The room was very clean, far above the standards of all other hotels in Australia. The breakfast was quite varied and averagely good.
A note of merit to this hotel for the presence of the laundry, with washing machine and dryer, very useful for travelers.
The only hotel I would return to in Australia, I recommend it.
We had a fantastic stay at The Lost Camel Hotel. The atmosphere was quiet and cozy, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. The location is excellent, close to everything you need around Yulara.
The service was outstanding, with staff who were always friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. Dining was also a highlight—Geckos and Ayers Wok both offered delicious food that really made the stay even more enjoyable.
Overall, The Lost Camel Hotel exceeded my expectations. A comfortable stay, great service, and an ideal location—I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
Room looks clean but have several small cockroaches in and out under the bed and the bathroom.
Midnight can hear next door’s neighbours TV on.
Only stayed here for one night.
The best part about this hotel is location - walking distance to restaurants, Coles, Chemist, the Esplanades…
The hotel is located in the town centre, for day trips or by AAT Kings long-distance bus. The airport bus also passes by the hotel. There are regular shifts, which can be inquired and booked with the front desk. Two or more people are recommended to take a taxi, which saves time. If you want to watch the sunset on ANZAC Hill, you can walk on foot, about 15 minutes walk. A large supermarket is just a 2-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel room is large and very comfortable! The facilities are OK, the price is very high.
Good location and service. Cleanness needs improving, there is a big dead cockroaches under the chair for our entire stay but not been removed. Seems like they just made the bed (didn't change them, just made them) and changed the towel, that's all.
The shower design is not great, and it is almost guarantees to get wet everywhere after use.
Tones of insects even in the room, especially in the evening, no door open, so I'm not sure where they came in... but I guess that's deserts.
It's great to have a free laundry facility, which is very helpful. Free activities were a nice touch.
Surprisingly, there are no complementary bottles of water in the room when the hotel is located in the deserts, very unusual compared to all the hotels we stayed.
Nice that we are allowed to use other hotels' facilities, so in general, we did enjoy our trip, and thank you for the friendly staff.
A groovy little resort. We epecially loved our time around the pool, taking advantage, along with other guests, of the special little tropical cocktail bar.
All of the reception staff were wonderful! They all went right out of their way to help us out in a situation caused by flight changes. Standout, was the girl on late night shift, Monday
29th August.
Very happy with this place.
Daryl and Cathy.
Arrived to a sign in reception “back at 8pm” we had to wait half an hour (24 hour reception) so after a long flight this was not good. Reception area also smelt of smoke. No lift to the second floor so an issue if you have heavy luggage. Hotel was noisy at night with people in the courtyard area very late into the night. Pool looked unmaintained and dirty. Also WiFi only worked in reception.
On the plus side the hotel is in a good location and the rooms were clean and spacious and had clean bedding and towels.

SSegara Beach HouseIl Piatto our favourite restaurant at ****** food great wine selection ok abit expensive overall compared to other Fine Dining restaurants in Darwin. Reception staff need abit more life and friendlyness more personality.
SShureen Lim Chai FongThe hotel is located nearby Darwin Interchange bus terminal around 5mins walking distance.
Room is clean and spacious. Really enjoyed the stay. Will definitely come back again.
GGuest Userwe enjoyed a lot our stay in Desert Palms, cosy bungalows, walking distance from city, good pool, very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. It is great the bungalows have a kitchenette well equiped. Beds could be better but overall we sleep well.
GGuest UserThe room is clean, the bed is comfortable, the facilities are complete, the environment is elegant, and the service is warm. I have made another reservation for this return trip.
GGuest UserThere's a breakfast buffet, a swimming pool, and a BBQ buffet inside. Parking is conveniently located right next to the rooms, which is great.
However, we initially had a hard time finding our room and circled around several times before finally finding it 😅 Overall, it was a fantastic experience! Highly recommended! 👍🏻

GGuest UserPerfect hotel location for our needs since it is very close to the airport and the Marrara sport complex (10-15 min walk) in which our event took place. What we love most: very clean hotel room, convenient park ing spot right in front of our unit at an extra cost, great pool facility and some restaurant and coffee shop option on site. The room we booked was really spacious. We had a very pleasant stay.
GGuest UserSuperior location. The hotel has good facilities. In front of the gate is the river. It's safe, too. I do a lot of running in the morning. Next to it is a new shopping mall. Later, I found that there are many noodles to eat. You can also see the scenery outside. Very good.
SShammrockThis is the closest campsite to Kings Canyon, a good place to rest if you're going to Kings Canyon. Our room only had a bed; you had to use the communal bathroom for washing, but it was convenient. Cooking was only possible in the communal kitchen, so you needed to bring your own utensils and tableware. There were a lot of insects at the campsite, as it's in the mountains, so be prepared. There's a trail next to the campsite leading to a small mound, which is a great spot for watching the sunrise.
RRose AnnWe spent three enjoyable nights at Club tropical in Darwin from the 31st of July.
Check in and Check out was smooth.
Staff at reception very accommodating..
A map for the complex is provided and the room was spacious.
Good linen and towels.
Very recommended.
