"Nicely designed and allocated small hotel. Rooms are pretty and photogenic without losing the practical aspects of accommodation. Breakfast was great without feeling over crowded like most hotel of this scale. Staffs were very helpful and attentive. Location wise is a little let down but then again is not the hotel problem. It is about a 10-20 mins walk to nearby attractions but this 10-15 mins is through a pretty rough looking neighbour."

"A wonderful hotel right next to the Botanical Gardens. Quiet rooms. Sadly, however, the doors are quite thin and have a gap at the bottom, so you can hear everything that is happening outside of your room and also can hear everything that’s happening inside the rooms when you are in the hallway. Besides, the bathroom door is incredibly thin and the bathrooms are very echoey, so travelling not solo might introduce some awkwardness if you are one of the people with shy bladders. Other than that, everything was great. Clean, friendly, top service."

"Location is generally good and a just few steps to Metro from where you could connect to Brussels Midi in around 20 mins. Near shops/small restaurants. Around 15-20 mins away from Grand Place which is my favourite historical attraction in Brussels, surrounded by many eating places and shops. The lounge smells so nice, inviting. Staff are friendly and helpful. Clean, fresh-smelling simple room/toilet. Felt like Japanese themed. Good water pressure. Water may spill out of the cubicle as it is half open.You need to move to the left of the shower cubicle to ensure water wont splash outside. Nespresso machine provided for coffee lovers like me. 4 pods free then buy the rest that you’d need for a fair price, I think. The table is quite small but they provided an extra stool. Has a properly working air-conditioning system. Green-coloured wall panels, quite relaxing to the eyes. The space is adequate. Bed is quite comfortable. Ensure to put the “Do not disturb sign” as you may be awakened by staff cleaning the other rooms which happened after the first night. Windows couldnt be opened. Had a bit of sneezing during day 2 but room was serviced which helped a lot. A tablet was provided where you could request for extra amenities. It was very useful. Was quite pleased to have stayed here. Will recommend."

"The location might be close to the train station, but I was not comfortable with the people in the street in front of the hotel. Great value and if you’re with friends and family, for the price, it’s worth it. I would say though some rooms have poorer noise cancelling than others but overall, clean and firm bed which I appreciate."

"First, the good points: The room is great. It's clean, spacious, and practical, and the bathroom, in particular, was sparkling clean, like a brand new property. The air conditioning isn't central heating; it's individually controlled in each room, and both cooling and heating work very well. I was also able to use the coin laundry. There's a communal dining-like space with a microwave, refrigerator, and tableware available. There's a supermarket just a short walk away, so you can save on food costs by buying ready-made meals. The tram station is also just a short walk from the hotel. The front desk staff were very kind. However, there were also many disappointing aspects. The ventilation fan in the shower room didn't work at all, and not being able to vent the humidity was quite inconvenient. If I left the shower room door open, the room's AC could compensate, but then the room got cold and dry, which was annoying. There was also a vending machine in the hotel, but it inexplic'ably charged 10 Euros initially. Furthermore, there was a significant discrepancy between the accommodation fee and what was stated on Trip.com. At check-in, I was charged 39 Euros for an unknown reason, and when I asked about it the next day, they said it was a city tax. I was very unhappy about not being informed of this beforehand. The street behind the hotel felt unsafe. Despite the downsides, considering the benefits, it's a relatively good hotel, and I would consider it again for my next stay."

"One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone; everything was amazing,from location and the staff. You can truly feel the high-quality, star-level service here. They helped us with everything and made our stay very comfortable. "Service: I'm about to give the worst service review. On my first stay, your hotel's front desk had a Caucasian female employee who initially gave me half of a family suite. Only after I emphasized the room type I booked did she change it for me. The hotel wasn't so fully booked that she couldn't have assigned me the room I pre-booked. Why would you try to pass off a partitioned room as a full one, treating customers like fools? I was extremely angry about this. And it wasn't just the room assignment; the room card she gave me was just a plain power card. Couldn't she provide a proper, decent room card? It's hard for me not to suspect some malicious intent. I hope you can give me a satisfactory explanation. Otherwise, my overall review of this hotel is very positive. The accommodation environment is good, the room facilities are sufficient, the location is great, and transportation is convenient. The room design is also beautiful, and I took many photos. I highly recommend staying here. If I come to Brussels again, I would indeed choose Cardo again. However, the subtle malice from your front desk and the unpleasant check-in experience disappointed me so much that it nearly ruined my entire stay, even though everything else was perfect."
