Guest UserClassic hotel in Bruges, the location is very good, take the 2 bus from the train station, walk 100 meters to the hotel. The hotel is an old house remodeled, our room faces a garden. The breakfast at the hotel was great, with my favorite smoked salmon and sparkling wine. Recommended!

Guest UserWe stayed 6 nights, two of us.
Location was outstanding right on the square near the city centre, <15 minutes from train station (with luggage it’s a bit unpleasant but definitely doable, paved paths and nice routes.). You can also take many buses to the hotel just one stop if necessary.
Room was wonderful sadly I don’t have better pictures! Very cozy. If any complaint it would be that it was quite dark if it was cloudy or come night time even with all the lights turned on it was quite low lighting.
Bathroom was clean and good water pressure. Tissues and toiletries.
If you opted out of housekeeping for the day you would receive a voucher for a drink at the bar which could also be used for soft drinks which we found a very practical option.
The biggest complaint was the breakfast for 23€ /per person per day it was not worth it. The waffles were quite hard and a disappointment.
On a positive note: There was fresh juices and juice “shots”, a small selection of cereals, a yogurt bar, a salad bar, some fresh fruit (the apples had been squished in the container and had seen better days), some deli meats and cheeses, a hot bar of some standard breakfast dishes involving egg and potato and the lot.
Service was lovely everyone was quick and polite!
Overall very satisfied and if you already paid for breakfast no problem but if not I’d suggest you skip it and eat elsewhere. ❤️🇧🇪

Location at 10 minutes walk from the city. You can park in a garage at about 4 minutes walk. The staff is very friendly. When arrived there was a box of chocolate bottles and when departure we got cookies. The room was cleaner; there were still hair in the bathroom. Breakfast was good but not special.

Guest UserMy bunkbed didn’t have a curtain so I asked to change at reception. Unfortunately, I was changed to a bunkbed next to the door which was unnecessarily loud. On my last night there there was also a constant beeping that everyone complained about.
It’s a clean hostel with a pub, which was pretty cool. My room was in a building separate to the pub. The kitchen was great with a cute outside area to eat.
It’s a bit of a walk to the train station but there are buses.

GolddddThe location is great, right next to the train station u have to go up the stairs walk a bit further then u will see there’s a sign saying ibis budget hotel. The room is clean and the toilets and shower area is separated. The only inconveniences is that the shower area and the sink are opening area, might be a bit awkward if two people stayed there. But the location is excellent and there’s were bus stops right next to the train stations. Overall I would say this is 7/10.

Hotel Portinari in Bruges is a gem! The modern design is both stylish and inviting, creating a lovely atmosphere. My room was comfortable and well-appointed, making it a perfect retreat. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the city’s main attractions. The friendly staff added to the overall positive experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Bruges!

Guest UserWonderful trip to Bruges! The hotel is located in a quiet area, just 10 minutes from the city center. The staff were very kind and helpful, and the cleanliness and comfort were excellent. The breakfast was well-stocked and varied. I would definitely choose this hotel again if I return.

The location is excellent and it is very convenient to go to various attractions. If you drive yourself, it is a bit difficult to get in and out of the hotel. The car is clearly parked next door, but it took half an hour to get to the hotel entrance (one-way street + road closure)

Guest UserMy partner and I had one of the mansion suites on the 3rd floor. Although our room didn’t have a view it was spacious and comfortable. The toiletries smelt divine.
The bed and pillows were super comfy.
Staff are friendly.
Breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of fruit and fresh juices / smoothies. Customised omelettes were made.
The hotel itself is boutique, contemporary and in a good location to Brugge Train Station, buses and also all the main attractions. It is nestled down a quiet street but still close enough to main attractions.
You have waffles and fresh potato fries shops within a minute walk from the hotel, including a supermarket if you need anything.

We had a nice time at Talbot House. The big plus is the historic value of the place, as we visited the area to learn more about WWI. So amazing to be able to explore the house and talk to the volunteer working here. Other things we liked were the friendly service and breakfast. Also big plus we could bring our dog, staying in the garden house.
With the cold whilst we were there, not having central heating was a bit of a struggle as the aircon is only on during the afternoon/evening and harder to set to a consistent temperature. Also the shared bathroom’s window couldn’t be closed, so absolutely freezing to go to. Last, our room was on the small side and felt a bit cramped especially with our dog. But overall good value for money.
