"We had a great stay at Badiah Hotel during our visit to Brunei! One of the highlights was the airport pickup service, especially since we arrived late in the evening. Everything went smoothly, and we did not have to worry about figuring out how to get to the hotel after our flight. Mr Degan is very friendly! The complimentary breakfast buffet was also a big plus, with a great selection of food to choose from. It saved us time and made our mornings more convenient since we did not have to look for other places to eat breakfast. The reception staff were nice, friendly, and attentive to our needs. We also appreciated how our room was kept clean and tidy every day while we were out exploring Brunei. Another convenient feature is the supermarket right beside the hotel, where you can easily buy extra bottled water, snacks, and other essentials. The hotel is also within easy reach of several landmarks and tourist attractions, and getting around was convenient with the Dart app. Overall, Badiah Hotel offers a comfortable and convenient stay, especially for travelers who want to explore Brunei without too much hassle. We truly appreciated the friendly service, cleanliness, and thoughtful amenities that made our trip more enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Brunei!"

"Undoubtedly, this is the best hotel. It was a shame that there was construction going on, but from certain angles, I could still take photos without any issues, so I was personally very satisfied. I was traveling alone this time, but I really enjoyed the pool, kayaking, and SUP without worrying about others watching. I'm so glad I went! 🥰"

"This hotel offers great value for money, with excellent comfort and hygiene, and high safety standards. The breakfast is also decent! The staff are all very friendly and patient in answering any questions you have, whether it's about nearby attractions or transportation. You can ask the front desk about anything. Many taxi drivers recognize this hotel, and its sign even includes Chinese characters. The surrounding area is very convenient, with a wide variety of restaurants and food options. If you go out the back door of the hotel and cross the road, you'll find Wu Zun Bakery, which is super close. There's a Baiduri Bank nearby, just a few minutes' walk away, where you can withdraw money from an ATM (it's very convenient as Chinese UnionPay cards can be used with a Chinese language option). If I come back, I'll definitely stay here again."

"I had an excellent stay at Centrepoint Hotel and was very impressed with the overall experience. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth, comfortable, and well managed. The front desk and reception staff were exceptionally helpful, welcoming, and professional. Every member of the team I encountered was friendly, courteous, and always greeted guests with a warm smile, making me feel truly welcome throughout my stay. I was also impressed by the hotel's prompt service. As I was unfamiliar with the air-conditioning controls in my room, I contacted the front desk for assistance. Two maintenance staff members arrived within just a few minutes, helped me to reset the air-conditioning system, and patiently showed me how to adjust the temperature. The quick response and friendly assistance were greatly appreciated. The room and hotel facilities were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing a relaxing environment after a full day of exploring Brunei. "The hotel is conveniently located in the city center, yet only about a ten-minute drive from the airport. The receptionists were very polite and even helped with luggage. The facilities are decent, with a gym, spa, pool, and restaurant all available. It's worth noting that bottled water is not provided due to environmental considerations."

"I chose this hotel because it was the cheapest option with airport transfer, perfect for a rest before my late-night flight and to store my luggage. I didn't have high expectations due to the low price, but when I entered the room, the air conditioning was already on and it was wonderfully cool! I really appreciate that they had the room cooled down before check-in. The bathroom was average. The shower curtain was discolored, so I probably wouldn't have wanted to use the shower, but since I wasn't staying overnight, it didn't matter. The airport transfer times weren't flexible; I had to choose between 7:00 PM and 8:40 PM. I picked 7:00 PM, which was perfect as I got to enjoy the night market a bit and still had time for the airport lounge. The transfer shuttle was also very nice. It was definitely worth it just for the taxi fare alone. I highly recommend this place if you just need it for a short rest!"

"I booked this hotel after finding out on YouTube that they offer free airport transfers. I rebooked when the price dropped closer to my stay. At the airport, someone was waiting with a name board. They were a bit further back, but seeing my name board was reassuring. The driver was so kind; when I mentioned the beautiful mosque at night, they even made a short stop for me, which I really appreciated. Breakfast was a simple buffet. The shower enclosure had a proper door that closed, making it easy to use. One thing to note is that the air conditioning in the room turns off completely when you remove the room key, so it can get stuffy when you first enter. Surprisingly, there were quite a few Japanese guests. The laundry near Brunei Hotel is about an 8-10 minute walk away. The sidewalks and traffic lights made it an easy walk. If you walk along the river, you'll find water villages and boats soliciting for monkey tours. Fridays are a good day for a water tour since many shops and mosques are closed. This hotel is in a great location for sightseeing and is reasonably priced, so I highly recommend it!"

"Good location for budget travelers, but cleanliness and facilities need improvement Location & Accessibility. The hostel is located near the Gadong Night Market in a relatively safe area. It takes about 15 minutes by car or bus to reach the city center, where you can find the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Kampong Ayer (water village), and museums. Public buses to the city center are available right from Gadong Night Market. Room & Cleanliness: I booked a bed in the female dormitory and was guided to another building about a 1-minute walk from the main Google Maps location, which was fine. However, I had concerns about the cleanliness. The bedsheets, although supposed to be fresh, had visible hair and dust on them. I was offered a different bed, but it had the same issue. Since I was exhausted from long-distance travel, I gave up and accepted it, but I felt uncomfortable watching the staff simply brush off the dirt by hand and assign the previous bed to another guest. Facilities & Wi-Fi: There is room for improvement regarding the bathroom and Wi-Fi. The shower rooms (separate from the toilets) are extremely small, with no hooks to hang towels or clothes. There is also a mild sewer smell from the toilet and shower area. The hostel uses a strong orange air freshener throughout the property, which felt a bit overpowering. While Wi-Fi is provided, the connection was extremely slow—perhaps because my room was at the far end of the hallway. Since eSIMs in Brunei are relatively expensive compared to other countries, the weak Wi-Fi was quite inconvenient. Overall: It has the absolute basics. If you are on a tight budget and just need a cheap place to sleep for 1 or 2 nights in price-heavy Brunei, this could be an option. However, expectations for cleanliness and comfort should be kept low."
